Amazing pizza at this place! Such a great flavor, very different from any other pizza place in the area. Quick service, not necessarily the best, but not terrible, they take your order and bring your food. Plain and simple. The Margherita while just being a cheese pizza, has an amazing flavor to it thanks to the basil. It’s a great starter pizza! Skip dinning in though, it can become very loud, echoey, and cramped, just get it to go. The outside area seems nice, a little small, but quaint. All in all, a great place to grab pizza that is delicious and fresh tasting! p. s. still hasn’t moved locations yet!

Without a doubt this place has the best and most authentic pizza in Dallas. I think it beats Campisis, and their thin pepperoni is absolute perfection. It even has the perfect amount of drippy, super-bad-for-you pizza grease, every single time. If you plan on picking it up quick, make sure you call a good 20 minutes before time, this place isn’t Dominoes, but if there’s ever a wait it’s worth it. And, although this place continues to be my favorite, parking is a bitch, so if you’re lucky park by the school next to it or the hidden parking around the corner for those apartments/businesses.

So bad it will be closed down by end of Aug due to the increasing rent. This restaurant serves real Italian pizza with thin and crispy crust. We like the Piemontese Pizza. Try it before too late!

My friend and I were wanting something yummy and vegetarian, so we got the Brava pizza without their Italian sausage. It came with the spicy olive oil that I love so much. The pizza came out super fast and it was definitely ooey and gooey — the flavors of the basil and the fresh parmesan and the crushed red pepper were a wonderful medley. Since we got the extra oil, though, our pieces were a tad bit drippy… but we were NOT complaining. The service was great that day and we left very satisfied. P. S. A medium pizza is sufficient to feed to hungry customers!

I make it my business to familiarize myself with all pizza in a 5 mile radius from my home. Campania is my least favorite by a mile, here’s why: 1. Pizza is just so-so 2. Service is horrific 3. Salad not delicious 4. Fluorescent lights 5. Table layout seems crowded 6. The day I went they didn’t have half of their dessert options Something about the atmosphere makes me want to leave quickly, rather than relax in for the night, which is my main gripe. I blame the shoddy design and lighting… and service. A couple good things: 1. BYOB 2. Next to Yumilicious Bottom line– I wouldn’t waste the time or calories coming here when there are so many more delicious options within walking distance!

This place is awesome. Their pizza is fantastic and it’s BYOB. I mainly like this as a date place, it is kind of cozy and unique, at night it is romantic. Next door is dessert(Yumilicious). PS– try the pizza with mashed potatos on it! My favorite.

Love the pizza here, can’t believe we waited this long to try this place out for the first time! The pizza is exactly how I like them, thing crust, not too much cheese or tomato sauce, lots of delicious toppings. The service is fast and efficient too. We sure will be back for more.

We went here with a groupon, and with 2 of us it was actually difficult to spend the $ 25 groupon! So it is a really great value. We started off with some flatbread and salads. Flatbread was delicious. I had my typical margarita pizza(maybe I’m boring, but it’s what I like!) and it was very tasty! Not greasy, not too thick or too thin, just really good! Typical napolian style. Grimaldi’s down the street is still better though in my opinion. :) My fiancé had a calzone with lots of meat inside and he enjoyed it a whole lot too. Service was ok. Unfortunately I didn’t know it was BYOB until I arrived :(. We’ll definitely be going back!

BYOB… BYOB…BYOB!!! Pretty cool for this area, saves you a some cash. $ 5 corkage fee for wine and $ 1 corkage fee for beer. The pizza itself is pretty good, just don’t order one with too many toppings as the crust is more on the thin side. They have a nice area to sit outside but also a decent indoor dining are for those super hot/cold days. Pretty quick service and decent prices all around, I’ll be back! p. s. Right next door to Yumilicious so you can get your fro-yo on after dinner.

What can I say? This place is awesome for a quick dinner with a pre-purchased bottle of wine. It is small lacking space for on-the-go patrons wanting to order a take-out pizza. Speaking of pizza. Their pizza is very delightful. Every one of them. Their ingredients are fresh and their crust is thin! Their salads don’t fall too far behind their pizza selection either. Their salads are very fresh with your ‘typical’ Italian fresh ingredients of arugula, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and kalamata olives. They are also so abundant with plenty of salad for two people to share. Their pizza is scrumptious with lot of fresh ingredients. With your own bottle of wine, how do you go wrong? Get there early on a weekend night and you are set!

Tasty pizza and a perfect dinner spot before a movie at the magnolia. Well, when the other options don’t sound any good. BYOB is nice and will only cost you a 5 dollar corking fee. I did see someone come in with half a bottle of wine, so I wondered if the fee still applied. I mean, is the fee to drink your own or is it b/c the staff is opening your bottle. Things I ponder. My friend and I shared the Capricciosa pizza. It tasted really fresh and surprisingly light which was perfect for us. I’m trying to convert my friend into a black olive fan and this pizza may have pushed her over the edge.(Not because there is an excessive of black olives, just because it was overall so tasty!) Staff was friendly and our wine was opened and glasses were provided stat. Love.

Uh… what are the green things on the ceiling? They sorta look like a cross between green flames and hunks of St. Augustine grass. But that only distracted me momentarily because then I saw the word Nutella on the menu and I was giddy with anticipation. I had to eat lunch pizza before I could justify dessert pizza – becuase I was with a group, not by personal choice. If it had just been me I would have gone straight to the Nutella. I was glad I had the lunch food though. We had the Sorrento(mashed potato pizza with sausage), the Doso(grape tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and red pepper) and the Diavola(pepperoni). The Doso was my all time fav – almost better than the Nutella. The place was no crowded at all even though it was Sunday around noon. I was there with my Avocado class from church. Kinda like the misfit toys on a day trip. It was a great time. Will defiantly eat here again.

Solid pizza. Personable service. I think that Fireside Pies is still the best but this is quicker and less hassle. I got this as take out. With some pizza I end up scraping off some of the cheese or wiping grease off the top with a paper towel. Not so with Campania. The pizza is well-balanced here. I live in the West Village so it’s going to be hard for me to justify walking to Papa John’s now when Campania is approx equal walking distance from me. I’m looking forward to trying the calzone here.

BYOB and a Pizza place??? *Cue the symphony of angels* Ah, Campania, you make me want to be a better person. With NYE as the star, this cannot worsen. Enter with wine and beer in hand, With hopes to take us to the promise land. Peruse the menu with food on the brain, No need to possibly explain. Caesar salads to start, I hope it doesn’t make me fart. Customize my own pizza pie? OMG, I think I might be high. Fresh ingredients made to order. I’m developing an anxiety disorder. Friends are ordering the lasagna too, Now we are most definitely screwed… Are told Lasagna takes a bit longer than the pies, It’s not like they are mass produced fries. Food arrives, hot and steamy. It looks oh so yummy and oh so dreamy. Raise food to mouth, enter. Where is the nearest medical center? Need more food, must keep eating. Am definitely taking a beating… Friend with lasagna, puts face in food. He doesn’t even chew. More beer is opened, more wine is poured. We think we have seen the Lord. Campania, Oh Campania how you make me quiver. Open invitation to always make me shiver. HAPPYNEWYEAR!

I just moved to San Francisco, but still miss Campania. That was my favorite Pizza living in Uptown. There basica salad was awesome and I always asked for more dressing. I love the diavola with garlic. Yummmm! I’d suggest the $ 9 lunch special to where you get a small pizza and salad with it. Great deal!

I am not much of a pizza eater and almost never suggest going to get pizza and when I do it is generally at Cosmos after my 4th vodka soda. So I was excited to try out Campania for the first time at our lunch UYE Saturday. We got there early because I was starving and ready to get to grubbin before going on a shopping excursion. The waiter let us move a bunch of tables together and got us drinks promptly. Then I had to decide what to order. I like tomato sauce, so there is no way I could get one without it. We ended up with the Diavola pizza which is tomato sauce, olive oil, basil, Mozzarella, and pepperoni. The crust was thinner but still chewy and doughy and the toppings were good. We polished off the entire medium pizza so we obviously liked it. My overwhelming thought was that it was some«a-ok» pizza. Not the best, not the worst, pretty good. Our waiter, while not chatty at all, did keep the drinks filled without having to be flagged down and he got our checks out promptly and didn’t say a word about splitting all the checks. Overall I liked the pizza here and hopefully will come back to try the pizza with the potatoes on it!

I gotta say… on a morning where you wake up and feel the effects immediately of the apparent fun and poor decisions you made the night before… not a lot sounds better than a good greasy piece of pizza… and that’s exactly what Uno and I set out for Saturday morning… joining a group of other pizza hungry Unilocalers. * We found it easily, and got a good parking spot in the garage in that building… POINT. * The place is small, but bright and welcoming… with really cool mosaic table tops and big yellow plastic chairs… POINT. * Gotta be honest… we took about 30 seconds looking over the menu… we didnt care… we needed grease… saw the Margarita pizza, our usual delight… but then I spotted the Doso… the owners favorite. «Cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, basil, spicy olive oil and crushed red pepper, garlic and Mozzarella Italian tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, basil and Mozzarella« Pretty much a Margarita Pizza with kick… and we said YESPLEASE! It was delicious… covered in fresh cherry tomatoes, and red pepper flakes that were hiding under the cheese ready to get ya when you werent paying attention. The crust was great, the pizza was NY style thing… and baby, we were happy… POINTPOINTPOINTPOINTPOINT. * Wait staff was on top of everything and never missed a beat… Double POINT… and I saw things flying out of the kitchen that I cant wait to go back and try. The place is nothing special or fancy… but if you want some good pizza… and you’re in that area… consider your search over. Pizza lovers, I’d like to introduce you to Campania… pass the Parmesan…

After months of hearing my sister and friends go on and on about how Campania has the best pizza in America, I finally tried a slice. It was just OK. I tried the Ortolano, and it wasn’t bad, but I didn’t really feel satisfied with it. I know they take pride in not using sauce, but the pizza was rather dry, and I don’t think I’d go out of my way for it. Since this is right by my sister’s house, however, I’ll probably be back and give it another shot.

Wow, um… I do NOT understand the hype. Before you scream, be assured that I went here with an open mind and a hungry stomach. I really, REALLY wanted to be as crazy about this place as the rest of you, since it’s right next door to my favorite dessert place ever(Yogilicious). However, I was sadly disappointed. The first warning sign was the bruschetta. They sliced some cherry tomatoes in half, dumped them on thin pieces of toast, and slathered them in olive oil. Lazy and unimpressive. I mean… if you served something like that in Italy, any self-respecting Italian would send it back to the kitchen with a look of disgust. Of course, Italians do most everything with a look of disgust. No offense to you Italians out there. Besides, if you’re an Italian reading Unilocal, you’ve clearly seen the light and moved to America, where our delightful abundance of central heating and shaved armpits have undoubtedly put a smile on your face. I lived in Italy for a while, during which time I ate many a pizza in Naples. So yes, Campania’s crust is very much like those pizzas, and I was impressed with that. However, the rest of the Campania pizza falls short. The toppings were carelessly scattered, with chunks of ham stacks(weird) and tons of artichoke(okay) but hardly any olives or basil. I know fresh basil isn’t cheap, but c’mon — two pieces? One of which wasn’t even cut and still had a stem with three small leaves sprouting off it??? I guess the most disappointing thing was that it was just a «meh» pizza. It wasn’t exactly terrible — it just wasn’t anything special. I have to give them credit for their correspondingly low prices, though. If you’re going to make a «meh» pizza, you should charge accordingly. Campania does, which made the whole experience okay rather than infuriating. I mean, we only paid about $ 13 per person for an appetizer and a large pizza split between the two of us. So, at least we didn’t feel robbed. The service also brought my review down a notch. We were largely ignored during our dinner, and it actually took three attempts to flag down our waiter as he avoided eye contact whenever rushing past our table with some pressing mission. Our waters were NEVER refilled, although this is probably due to the fact that our waiter wasn’t accustomed to anyone coming in without a bottle of wine.(Seriously, people… maybe your elation at being able to bring your own booze — and the resulting alcohol-induced euphoria — is distorting your judgment of the pizza.) Hey, I love wine too… but in a place like this, it just looks like a sad attempt to dress up a boring meal. Not to mention that Campania has the atmosphere of(as my boyfriend described it) «a cafeteria.» I mean, our waiter filled our waters by literally turning in place and pushing them up against the soda machine. Kinda weird.

This review is more on the behalf of my bf, who’s a big pizza fan and was really excited for this place from all the Unilocal reviews! Everything they serve, besides calzones and sandwiches, is on the same pizza crust! Including appetizers and desserts! We started with the focaccia, which was just pizza crust, thin and crispy, with herbs and garlic on top. We were considering getting one of their bianca pizzas(sauce-less) until this came out. They said the pizza was be exactly same crust just different toppings?! The main pizza we picked was actually an interesting combo — we had jalapenos and garlic and basil on one half and green pepper, white onion and basil on the other.(They charge 75c for putting oregano on it but oregano is already on the table). We quite enjoyed the pizza! I think the place was nice, albeit the service was quite slow. We skipped desserts actually, not wanting to eat anymore pizza crusts, and instead went to Paciugo for gelato just a couple of blocks down…
