Great drink selection. Delicious cheese platter. The last time I went, I had a pasta dish that included lobster. It was delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly staff that know a thing or two about food.

We were friends of Randall, who was a 50% owner until his passing so we thought that we would try Boulevardier. It was definitely worth the long drive for us. Took my wife, son and his girlfriend to Sunday brunch. It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat on the patio out back. Ordered the steak and it was amazing and the wood grilled oysters. OMG. I can’t wait to go back soon.

We went on a Friday and the place wasn’t too packed. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Oh snap… wife is watching Friends on netflix. Can’t focus on review. Place good. Go to it.

I would rather give a 4.5 if that was an option. I went on a lunch date to Boulevardier. My date and I are both well acquainted to French food, and we both agreed that this place was top notch. I had the«Legs and Eggs», which is duck confit with eggs, salad, and croquettes. I love duck confit and this dish did not disappoint. I would highly recommend it. Will be back soon, hungry for more.

We came here for my birthday since we had heard great things about the restaurant. We were greeted by a hostess when we walked in who offered us any table in the restaurant. Great, chose a quiet table in the far corner of the restaurant near the kitchen. No sooner had I sad down than a big fly buzzed past my ear. Through the remainder of the night, several flies would intermittently buzz by our table and food, and I would have to swat them away. I rarely have to do that even in hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurants. On to the food, which was equally as disappointing. We tried 4 different appetizers. The beef tartar was not only bland and warm, but the toast that came with it was soggy. The wood grilled oysters had a really nice spicy sauce with it, but they were some of the smallest oysters I’ve had. I expect plumper ones when I pay $ 15 for 6 oysters. The crawfish beignets did not resemble beignets at all really. I’m from New Orleans and the bread wasn’t fluffy and the dish wasn’t sweet. It honestly was not a bad dish, but it just wasn’t a beignet either. The korean duck wings were the best things that we tasted all night. Flavorful and tender, we gobbled that dish up. For our entrees, I had the seafood bouillabaisse. The broth was decent but nothing special. The seafood that came with it was scant, at best. For $ 33, to get 3 – 4 overcooked shimp, 6 – 7 small mussels, a couple octopus and a few clams was flabbergasting. Overpriced and average at best is the best way to describe this dish. My fiancé had the lamb neck, which she felt was too gamey for her and she couldn’t eat much of it. I actually liked it though and thought it was the second best dish of the night. The feta was unnecessary but the lamb was nicely cooked and the cous-cous was good. The meal was such a letdown that we didn’t even bother trying their dessert, and instead opted to go across the street to Emporium Pies for dessert, where we had our best dish of the night.

This French-inspired bistro has perfected brunch and created something magical with its«Legs and Eggs», a crispy duck leg confit paired with sunny side up eggs on stone ground grit cakes and huckleberry sauce. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service are unmatched; however, limited in options and more exorbitant prices.

Really fantastic meal. Probably my favorite 3 $ restaurant so far. Right when you walk in you get the feeling of a classy intimate setting with great taste. We reserved on open table for a last minute dinner plan on a Thursday and had no problems whatsoever with seating. They do provide valet so that is an option for those of you not capable of locating a parking spot for free haha. Service was delightful, Jay was our waiter and he provided fantastic commentary on the wine selection and made some great recommendations on the dishes. We ordered a bottle of the Red Mare Cab($ 111 — Wines are definitely pricey here), the Big Board($ 33), the Bouillabaise Boulvardier– Soup($ 33), and the Rack of New Zealand Lamb($ 42). All very delicious and well portioned. The Red Mare was full of rich flavors, not too dry, the soup was paired excellently with a glass of white wine(Rhon) and the lamb was fall off the bone. Loved all the dishes and would definitely come here again to sample the new market specials. Come here if you are going to wow a date because this place is superb!

A LOVELY evening Boulevardier makes! I come at least twice a year since it’s opening and have had WONDERFUL experiences each and every time here! Celebrating my friend’s birthday, last night was no exception! Food 5+: WOW are their Wood Grilled Oysters, Bone Marrow, and Grilled Octopus, each perfect to share, made to perfection and the presentation is simply beautiful; next, their UNREAL Farm Poached Egg with Chicken Liver Salad, absolutely delicious; then, came the SUCCULENT perfect med-rare Rib Eye for my entrée, enough for my dinner tonight, lol, I simply loved their seasoning; and, to top the evening off, their INCREDIBLE bread pudding, I love their homemade ice cream there! Ambience 4.5: French bistro setting; casual chic are their guests; the dining room does get pretty loud as the evening rolls on yet interestingly enough that makes it more festive and not a nuisance; the one complaint, messy is the women’s bathroom! Service 4.5: it took a long time after being seated before anyone came over to take at least our drink orders; but after that, our server was INCREDIBLE — not missing a beat throughout the night! This is my place to go on a whim or for a celebration! I must try their so talked about brunch next! See you there! CHEERS!

Super hip spot. Fresh oysters, about 5 different types tonight and all tasty! Tried the mussels, wow! The flavor is there, great texture and the smokiness is something that leaves it as a nice signature appetizer. Fun staff, tables inside, outside of sitting by the bar will get you entertained all night. Great cocktails, this is a place to taste the avant-garde. Huge list of wine for those interested in staying classic. I could stay here for hours. Leaving this place with one thing in mind — perfect.

I cannot believe it took me this long to have brunch at Boulevardier. I should have been brunching here every weekend since moving to Dallas. Now that I finally have, I’m not sure I’ll be going anywhere else! We had a 1:30 reservation on a Saturday. Traffic was tough, so we called to let them know we’d be five or ten minutes late for our reservation, and they were incredibly relaxed about it, told us that it was no problem at all. Very sweet. When we arrived, we were greeted by the exceptionally friendly host and seated at a two-seater against the window. The restaurant is fairly small, and at that time on a Saturday it was packed to the brim and bustling, loud and full of life. So much natural light flooded the place that it felt incredibly cheery. It was a great ambience. We decided to start by splitting the Fresh Fruit with Mint Citrus Olive Oil Cake($ 9). It was delectable. A fantastic start to the meal. The cake itself looked sort of like banana bread, but tasted denser and had a definite olive oil aftertaste. It was drizzled with whipped cream and fresh berries, and we cleaned the plate in record time. I also started the meal with a mimosa, which was $ 5 and very strong and scrumptious. For our entrees, I had the French Toast($ 10) and my boyfriend had the Legs & Eggs($ 16). Both were incredible. The French Toast came with the perfect amount of maple syrup already applied, and topped with whipped cream and berries. Every bite was like a heavenly cloud. The Legs & Eggs was a hearty, fantastically savory dish, a fried duck leg served with two eggs over easy and two grit cakes, as well as a small green salad. The perfect brunch meal for anyone who enjoys a hearty poultry entrée. Despite how busy he was, our waiter was very attentive and we never felt forgotten. By the end of the meal, we were happy and stuffed. We will be back for more!

I wanted to update my review based on more recent experiences. I feel like this place is not as spectacular as it once was. The cassoulet was changed for the worse. It used to come in a mini cassoulet pan and now it comes on a regular plate, which makes it cool faster. The quantity is probably half of what it was. They replaced the sausage with pork belly — this might seem fancier but the sausage just went so much better and didn’t try to compete with the duck confit in the dish. The beignets are off the menu — boo. (To clarify, I meant dessert beignets) Aside from the difficulty in making a reservation, service is still great. Drinks are still great. This place is still a solid 4 star, but I’m no longer motivated to go way out of my way to dine there for a special occasion.

First and foremost, the staff is phenomenal, unmatched, spectacular… etc…etc! Did I mention the staff? Lol Specifically, Emily was our server and she was patient, made suggestions on food and drinks for the whole table without being asked to do so. She was considerate of our diet requirements and made modifications without making us feel like we bothered her. She is a gem! After our 2 hour brunch session, we went to the patio area for more drinks and Griffin was our server/bartender. He is equally great! He, like the other servers, was laid back, unpretentious and just a cool guy you would want to have beers with. He made jokes and created some shot concoction that made us all have trouble focusing afterwards! Lol. If the food sucked-it didn’t-we would still return to this restaurant just for the awesome service. The food/drinks: We had the Chai Spiced Pimms Cup. It sounded gross-frankly speaking-but at the insistence of Emily, I went for it. It is fantastic and well balanced. I will warn you that it is weak on the alcohol side, so we added a shot of gin to make it more«effective.» We ordered the burger, legs and eggs, and steak and eggs. The burger was really good and when all put together, it was literally like 6 inches tall of pure goodness! The house pickles were savory and sweet. Brilliant! Legs and eggs: a must do! The duck leg was small but sufficient to get the job done. The eggs were perfectly cooked and laid on top of fried corn grits patties. The steak and eggs: The dish was very good as well, but I refuse to photograph a well-done piece of beef. Our brunch guest doesn’t know how to order a steak medium rare lol. It was his fault and not the restaurant’s. We finished with the bread pudding which was topped with homemade ice cream. I really value a restaurant that takes the time to prepare everything from scratch. This dessert was heavy, as bread pudding should be. We will definitely be back soon.

Wow, this place was amazing! Loved this place, and would definitely come here for another small special occasion. Came here for my friend’s birthday with a group of 4, made a reservation the day before. I would highly recommend everyone to make a reservation, it was very busy when we arrived and our reservation was for 8:30pm on a Saturday night, and we got an earlier time because of a cancellation. Even though it was a later time, we started walking around the local shops to pass time. Bishop Arts Distict is a nice area as well to stroll through, which is another reason why I like this place. The interior is nice, but small so it’s a bit packed. Only complaint I have is that they only have 1 bathroom stall for female and 1 for males, but I think it’s just a bishop arts district thing. Our waiter was very good, attentive and explained the menu and popular items to us, especially since it was all our first time. We were stuffed by the end of the night! They also have a good cocktail menu to choose from, standard $ 10 – 12 on average. FOOD: Ordered Crawfish Beignets as an appetizer and OMG! I saw the pics and reviews and didn’t know what to expect but holy crap they were good!!! Would definitely recommend for anyone coming here as an appetizer! We also ordered a dozen raw oysters with 3 different types. Honestly couldn’t really tell the difference but they all tasted good. I’m not a raw oyster connoisseur. Then for entrees we had the Rack of Lamb(that day’s special), Lamb Neck, Duck with cannellini beans, and Hangar Steak with Frites. All were very good but my favorites were the lamb neck and rack of lamb. Very tender and tasty! It was pricey but to me def worth it! Would be great place for special occasions but not for big groups.

We noticed early on that you definitely want to make a reservation, and that, if you«know people,» you can actually get shit for free. Unless you«know people,» this sort of sucks. Anyway, service was FANTASTIC. The star I took away was based solely on 1) brunch atmosphere and 2) the bacon. Stop reading now if you don’t give a fuck about bacon. The bacon was limp and wet, tasted essentially like smoked ham, and had a weird, undefinable after taste. Not a fan. However — all of the other entrees ordered were fantastic. Reference my pictures. I got the French toast like a total wuss, and it was more than I bargained for. Plenty of fruit, syrup and completely worth $ 10. The more savory entrees shocked and amazed as well. Now, for a note about the atmosphere: the restaurant definitely relies on natural light. It was kind of a dreary day, so it was kind of a dreary restaurant look. I am big on how the place«feels» and this place felt a little cold, a little too hipster, and just a tad… dreary? Am I being too particular? Maybe. Am I sort of starting to have actual«taste?» YES! I would highly suggest this place in the Bishop Arts/Oak Cliff area for outings with elders(graduation/celebratory dinners/meals) or brunch with some wealthy friends. In no way is this a dive. Anyway, I feel as though I rambled. Enjoy my pictures. Also — They open at 11 am on Sunday’s. Good luck!

Plain and simple, Boulevardier was disappointing. I came here with a couple friends after hearing really good things about their burger. It was just ok. Some bites were better than others, but it was nothing to write home about. Plus, I asked for it medium rare and it was way over cooked at medium well. I also found a little piece of metal wiring in my burger which I pointed out to them after taking a bite into it(not cool). I guess I was the lucky one as my friends got the burger too and theirs were metal wireless. Our server seemed shocked and while I didn’t ask them to, they did comp the burger which was the right thing to do. The manager never came out to say anything which I though would have been standard practice. My brother, a restaurant manager for nearly 20 years, agrees. The fries were ok. Their French onion soup was really thin and not very flavorful and for a place named after a great cocktail, the cocktail I got here was watered down and not very good. It’s around the corner from a nice little quaint strip so the location was the best part of the visit. Décor was ok. They have laminated menus which fit more with AppleBees than what I think they are trying to go for here. I had wished it were better here, but I have zero desire to return.

I’ve been here twice and I can’t complain about either visit. I took a friend to pay him back for house sitting and had me a grand old time. I love the cocktails here and the food is always on point. They have a bit of raw bar up front if that’s your thing and a wall of wine in the back. I did the french onion soup and it was pretty good… in fact I want some right damn now. Then I had their award winning burger… I just had to. I also couldn’t resist the brussels sprouts… I’m a sucker for them! They REALLY do them like I prefer here and close to what I do at home. Oh wait… back to the burger. It was big and juicy and cooked to order. The bacon was also perfect… back to the brussels sprouts… they are made in cast iron with bacon. He had the wild boar pappardelle pasta and it looked fantastic. The service was really attentive and friendly. I love the ambiance of this place and the food always delivers… It’s usually busy, so good luck with seating and parking… but worth it.

I had the pleasure of eating at Boulevardier recently while visiting my best friend in Dallas. We made a reservation for Sunday evening, and they had no trouble seating us early when we overestimated how much time we needed to explore Bishop Arts beforehand. We proceeded to enjoy an excellent meal in the comfortable and cozy(but not stuffy) space. We started with cocktails and appetizers. I ordered the Slow Burn, a delightfully spicy combination of habanero-infused tequila, grapefruit, lime, and pomegranate served in a tall glass of crushed ice. I’m a fan of pepper-infused cocktails and this one did not disappoint. While it packs a kick, it was still totally drinkable and delicious. Following our cocktails, we enjoyed the brussels sprouts and the(seemingly famous) grilled oysters. The brussels sprouts were tossed in a delicious sauce of bacon, sweet soy, and togarashi. They were tender and the sauce was great, with just a touch of heat to amp up the flavor. The wood-grilled gulf oysters were also fantastic, with their shells brimming with delicious casino butter. We were both caught off guard by the spice level(so far this was turning out to be a surprisingly spicy meal!), but the flavor was fantastic. When it comes to oysters, I’ll usually just have a couple off of a friend’s plate. But these? I could have finished the entire plate myself. For an entrée, I ordered the lobster pappardelle. A generous portion of lobster was accompanied by spring vegetables and charred sweet corn. The portion size was perfect, with a good ratio of pasta to lobster/veggies. Nothing worse than a giant plate of pasta with barely anything on it! Overall, this was a really nice meal and enjoyable experience. Boulevardier is a delicious option for upscale food in an unpretentious atmosphere.

I saw something that looked like a bone in ribeye go to the table next to us so I had to try it. Funny story, what I thought was a ribeye ended up being a pork chop. That pork chop was absolutely amazing and tasted as good or better than any ribeye I’ve ever had. We got a side of the brussel sprouts and weren’t disappointed cause I could of just had a side of these and been satisfied with my meal. They were that good! Only knock on this place was how loud it was inside.

If there was a restaurant setting for a Nicholas Spark’s movie… it would be Boulevardier I’ve heard so many good things about this place, my cousin has mentioned before saying that they serve some mean french cuisine :-) I’ve had Boulevardier bookmarked for such a long time… why did it take me so long to come here? I’m glad i was patient… my first visit was extremely memorable I wanted to have an early bday dinner for the Whale so I decided on Boulevardier… you walk in and the layout is pretty interesting. The bar is at the front and the dining area is near the back… lets get to the food Berkshire Pork Chop — The«kobe» of pork they say, and was it tasty. The Whale had been on a quest to find a pork chop that matched the pork chop she had in St. Louis… looks like she found one that topped it :-) The pork chop had excellent flavor… properly brined and charred to give it that rustic appeal and flavor. The texture and temperature of the meat could have been better which would have elevated the pork chop to top tier but it was still extremely good Crisp Lamb Neck — I decided on the braised lamb neck. I don’t usually order lamb but decided to try it out… great decision Peter. The neck was braised low and slow resulting in extremely tender meat… i liked how they crisped the meat so that there was textural contrast :-) Brussel Sprouts — best brussel sprouts i’ve ever had. We had no idea what togarashi was but our waitress was very nice and informative… It’s pretty much umami seasoning. the brussel sprouts were crisp and cooked in sweet soy… The bacon added a nice saltiness that balanced out the sweetness of the soy Foie Gras Torchon — My first experience with a torchon… i’ve only had seared foie gras. The Whale and I were extremely happy with this… It was pretty much flavored butter. I’m sorry to the duck or goose who had to be gavaged for the foie… but it was delicious. It inspired me to try to make a torchon Boulevardier allowed the Whale and I to have a successful birthday dinner :-) One of the top meals i’ve had in Dallas for sure… well i guess the company didn’t hurt
