Bifano Furs

Scrounging through the closets for something warm. (I tossed out my all-​weather coat last April because the zipper kept jamming, trapping me inside the coat. I had to crawl out the top of it.) I found the vintage Bifano mink I’d picked up from an estate sale years ago.
Oh. My. Gosh.
This is the warmest coat I’ve ever worn.

Yep, my mom finally bequeathed her full length mink coat to me. I had no idea how to maintain my new ‘rat’ so I took it to Bifano Furs and received my fur coat education.
They store my ‘rat’ in the spring, summer, and part of fall. I took it out in November (they would have delivered it if I’d requested) and it had been nicely cleaned. This year when I return it to storage, they will condition it. One should alternate cleaning and condition every other year with a fine mink.
They also mended an open seam in the lining and embroidered my name inside the coat.
I know fur is not in vogue, but when it is really cold it is nice to have a warm coat to wear. I don’t care what anyone else says, I feel luxurious wearing it. I would have never bought one for myself, but it is nice to have it since it was passed down to me.
