Oh lord, Unilocal misled me once again. This place was so disgusting. One of the rolls served was on the verge of spoiling. The miso soup had no flavor, the spicy edamame was overlooked and soggy, and service was lackluster. Don’t, just don’t.

Good portions and pretty good food. It’s not going to dazzle you, but it’s solid. It’s across the street from where I work, so I go pretty regularly.

This place is worth the trip! I heard about Arfi’s from a friend who lives near to their location. The appetizers are cheap and super delicious, especially the Hawaiian chicken. The crunchy roll and dragon rolls are a must have. Their sushi samplers are also really good, especially the Arfi special sampler, you get a temptation roll and spicy tuna roll. The portion amounts for the price are pretty big and you definitely get your money’s worth here, except maybe on the vegetable tempura or monkey brains. They have monthly specials like buy one get one half off rolls so that’s a plus. Last time I checked Happy hour is from 4 – 6 pm with $ 1 nigiri rolls. I usually order take out and the staff is always very quick with your orders and very kind. I will definitely continue to come here for my sushi fix! Update: Arfi’s changed their menu so it’s a 3 rolls for $ 11.99! That’s a ton of sushi. It’s not their specialty rolls like the Cherry or Las Vegas(which are both really good!) but they’re still great! Definitely try the crayfish roll!

This sushi is on point. Have not been disappointed yet! The Summer roll and Texas roll are delicious and always fresh. This is a favorite spot and I visit at least once a week.

Found this little HITW and now frequent it at least 3x a month. Great sushi, great value. Great for take-out or stop in and eat. No beer/wine, but for good sushi, can’t be beat!

Just popped into Arfi Sushi & Hibachi Express for the first time and it is exactly what it claims to be. I was in the area with 40 minutes to kill before an evening meeting and a laptop that was in need of a charge. Sushi sounded good, so I peeked inside to see if there was a power outlet accessible. There was a booth near the door with power, so that was a plus. They also had signs on the door advertising specials of 2 rolls for $ 8.99 or 3 rolls for $ 11.99. Sold! I ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and Philadelphia rolls; true to the restaurant’s name, they were ready and deliveered to my table 6 minutes later. The server saw that I was using my laptop and also offered the Wi-Fi password(which I didn’t need since there is also a Time Warner hotspot in range). All in all, this visit did exactly what I needed it to. I’m full, didn’t spend much money, and got to charge my laptop and take care of a few things. Would definitely return!

We came to Dallas to do some shopping. We just moved to a small town in OK and there are no good sushi places. We stumbled upon this gem for lunch after getting our truck washed down the road. We had an appetizer, sushi, noodles and hibachi. Not only was the food wonderful, but the price made it taste even better! The place is very clean with clean bathrooms. The service was great. They even gave us a complimentary half roll of their house special, which my daughter and husband enjoyed very much. We will definitely be back on future trips.

Great food, recommended from someone so me and my girlfriend went on a saturday night, had our sights set on the $ 6.99 hibachi lunch special which is actually the price all day, which comes with hibachi chicken and a bed of rice and veggies, loved the food. Customer sevice was a1, they even let us sample 2 sushi rolls we mentioned that we liked, definitely going back.

The seafood was very fresh, and the service was great. We ordered the Teriyaki Bento box, a little disappointed it did not come with Miso soup though, the meat was tender, and sauce wasnt too salty. The bento box came with a basic california roll and pot stickers. Seaweed salad was fresh and plentiful egg rolls were delicious, not peppery, perfect crunch. Yellowtail sashimi– so smooth in texture! We also ordered the dragon roll, and ask for tempera shrimp inside– they customized it without any hassle. I will return again, and hopefully this will become my new sushi pick up spot.

This was our random Unilocal find for the day. We were thinking we wanted hibachi and this place came up in our search. I didn’t realize it was express until we pulled up… which was a little disappointing. But we figured we would give it a try anyway. The interior was nice and clean. The service was friendly and relatively fast. We were both pleasantly surprised and pleased with our food and the serving sizes. Both the sushi and the hibachi were pretty darn good! Good find!

I was in the area and in the mood for sushi. Luckily for me, I found a Groupon for this place. When I walked in here with my daughter, I was wondering if I had made a mistake. It was around 6:30pm, and it was empty. I am glad we gave it a shot though. I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter ordered the chicken hibachi. For 6 bucks, it was a lot of food. I ordered chef Lal’s special since I couldn’t decide. It came with a temptation roll, California, and avocado roll. Then I ordered an extra salmon roll to make it to the 20 dollar mark for the Groupon. We both enjoyed it. The people here were extra attentive and helpful. The sushi was great for what you paid for. I saw that it’s a BYOB too. I’d definitely come back to satisfy that sushi craving on a low budget. Maybe even bring a bottle with me.

First time here… close to home. Ordered 1) japanese shrimp fried rice with a side of chicken(the cook said its about 5oz of chicken but it wasn’t…) the shrimp was big but overall taste was a little bland. 2) combination stir fry noodles –quite salty and oily but bf seemed to be content with it(he likes things on the salty side). Just a side note– I asked the lady that helped me what was the difference between japanese fried rice and regular fried rice and she couldn’t even tell me… Also, I wanted to know how many ounces of meat were in the dishes but they did not know the answer to that either. I might come back if I was very very hungry and on a time crunch with limited options.

I was bringing my on-again/off-again«pescatarian» daughter, her friend, my extremely UNadventurous– eater son, and a family friend to Dallas to eat, and they wanted sushi… which I personally am not a fan of. So I googled, grouponed, and Unilocaled, and found this place. Do NOT be dismayed when you see the vinyl booths, or the lack of a crowd. Arfi’s is a hidden gem and I wanted to eat ALLTHETHINGS! We had edamame and a cream cheese roll for the table. The edamame was warm and salty, the roll was prepared fresh, and was cold and yummy. My son had a steak bento box, which was more than his 15yo self could eat, and I had the shrimp bento box, which was AMAZING, and included ½a California roll, a huge portion of rice, ginger, wasabi, like 8 grilled shrimp, spicy mayo(which is to die for) and sadly– only 3 of these amazing potsticker things that I’d never tried before. I managed to eat it all but I could barely walk I was so full. :) There was also a cup of a brown sauce. Teryaki? IDK but it was yummy too. The girls had a tuna roll, a Cali roll, and another kind they liked. Our friend got the Dynamite and something involving eel. We all left very full and VERY happy. If I visit Dallas again, I WILL be back. :)

This has been my go-to sushi spot on my work days. The food is really fresh and delicious. The current deal is 20% off on all of their sushi items! So why not take advantage of their discount! I’ve tried their Sushi Sample 1 and Sushi Sample 5. Sample 1 comes with avocado roll, California roll and tempura roll. The Tempura roll is one of my favorites! The sauce isn’t too overpowering. They put the right amount of eel sauce on top of the tempura roll which I really loved. Sample 5 comes with spicy tuna roll and tempura roll. The spicy tuna roll is way too spicy! The tuna is really fresh but they mixed way too much chili sauce in the fish. I’d not recommend to people who doesn’t eat spicy food. I will continue coming here for lunch since its super close to where I work and the service is awesome.

Spicy chicken hibachi, salmon roll, yellowtail roll, and tempura are all fresh and delicious! Today we ordered the party platter and it’s awesome. Really fresh and BIG pieces of fish. It’s so reasonably priced. Less than $ 55 including tax. It’s really high quality sushi at take out prices. They’re also very friendly. Highly recommend!

Once you step into the restaurant, you’ll notice right away that it looks super fast-foody; blue vinyl booths, wood panelling, a large menu on the wall, a fridge in the front with bottled drinks, a soda machine in the back, and a counter where you order at. I’ve never been to a fast-food Japanese restaurant, so I was a bit apprehensive. We ordered at the counter, got our drinks from the soda machine, and sat down and waited for them to bring out our food. We ordered the chicken bento box($ 6.99 lunch special) and the Volcano roll($ 8.99). The bento box came with chicken teriyaki, rice, a couple pieces of CalIfornia roll, and 3 gyozas(fried dumplings). The chicken was a bit oily and the gyozas were super oily. It didn’t taste bad for the price, and next time I want to try some of their hibachis. The Volcano roll was basically a California roll smothered in a spicy mayo sauce with scallops. It was super mayo-heavy and also very oily. I’m so glad I found this place, because it’s so hard to find a cheap sushi restaurant. I’ll definitely come back here again if I’m craving sushi but don’t feel like spending a lot.

I found Arfi last Sunday night on Unilocal and got super excited to have a Japanese restaurant on my way. Tried on Monday, in a hurry and the food was excellent. I got spicy salmon rolls for a quick lunch. Wednesday I was back and tried the«monkey brain» which is kani kama and mushrooms deep fried with spicy mayo, plus gyoza and salmon skin temaki(the handrolls). Everything was delicious and the salmon skin is perfect to my taste, super crispy! Last night I invited a small group over and it was great. They loved the food, service was super attentive. Everybody was very happy with their choices. The chef even gave us a plate of Arfi’s roll to try(delicious, if you stop by give it a try). It is a super cute place in the same street mall as AT&T and better… the cronut doughnuts store! It is across street of Banana Leaf. So the place is new, super clean and vibrant decoration. Every time I was there the phone was ringing with orders for lunch and dinner(I think they deliver nearby). It is getting very popular! Service is great, they all are very sweet people and treat the guests well, smiling all the way. For me it is the most important quality in a business. I was almost forgetting to mention the price. It is SUPER affordable! The appetizers are around $ 4 and are about 4 pieces each or they divide, like the monkeys brain. Meaning you can buy lots of them and share. In this case, try the Jalapeño pop with kani kama and cream cheese. I am going back soon because I need to try yakisoba and also the hibachi specialties(it is a real hibachi, not to put up a show). If you live or work nearby, make sure to stop by asap. You won’t regret, I promise(You are welcome, in advance!). Oh they have nigiri specials for $ 1 during happy hour(I think till 5 or 6pm, better to confirm. And it is byob. Winner!!!
