Had the Salmon BLT, loved it! The Quiche was also excellent. Very nice quaint environment. Servers where very attentive. Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly, my favorite place to always return too for a great meal.

It would be nice if I could tell you how the food taste but I can’t, apparently service isn’t a priority if you’re a black lesbian couple… Which is a shame because this place came highly recommended as a lunch option by the spa resort we had just checked out of. We were told this establishment was owned by a lovely couple who were well known in the area. I guess diversity customer service training hasn’t made it to their business as of yet, which is also a shame.

The Grilled Chicken Pannini was delicious. My husband had the Angus burger and loved it. Very nice casual atmosphere. We sat on the porch, which was a little loud cause of traffic passing by, but still fine. I would definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed the Yahoola Creek Grill for bunch. I had the veggie quiche which came with a green salad and found it very tasty. Another member of the group had the country breakfast which was delicious. The hamburger and fries was huge and done to perfection.

We love Yahoola Creek Grill. Laura always takes great care of our group. Thanks so much for all of the delicious food and beautiful porch! :) Foods I recommend: praline cheesecake, ultimate grilled cheese, fried green tomatoes, chicken skewer appetizer, and any salad you’d like! Their salads are HUGE.

We came here on our second night of visiting Dahlonega. My partner got a special fish dish, and I got the Meatloaf Surprise. Overall, my dish was good. However, the side of zucchini and squash had no flavor at all. The prices were okay for what we received. I guess we would return, but it wasn’t anything that stood out to us. However, we did order the roasted red pepper hummus, and it was delicious. The cranberry teas were great, too.

One of the best things in the world is soft butter for the bread left on the table to start a meal. This was a great start to a very enjoyable meal of vegetable pasta and my sweet Frau had a delicious salmon salad. The wine is always a personal thing and the Reisling was a bit too dry. Service was exuberant on a busy evening. We came, we saw, we ate well. Give these fine folks a try.

Went back after a long break from Yahoola Creek. Been over a year since our last visit. The verdict… probably won’t go back again anytime soon. Prices have increased, quality about the same. Hit or miss. Shrimp and grits are average. My wife’s steak was good but not great for $ 23 plus bucks. With wine and tip the bill was over $ 80.00 for a dinner for two on a Wednesday night. Better options in the area for this price point. Also had more flies than you would expect in a upper middle price point establishment.

Food was good, but if you are craving something, call first, as they run out of certain things. We had decided to go there after looking at their menu and we were going to get the steak and trout and split it, but they were out of both. We ended up having burgers, which were good. The fried green tomato appetizer was fabulous! We’ll be back, but we’ll call first.

We were really disappointed with the food(and the flies!) I had read that they use local sources and that idea appeals to me. The atmosphere looked quaint when we entered, but that’s where the charm ended. The potatoes in the spinach and egg frittata were undercooked and hard. The surf and turf special was a small lobster tail and a so-so steak — and it was $ 39.99!!! The price wasn’t posted on the specials board, but considering the average price on the menu, we didn’t expect that. We could have had a Ruth’s Chris steak for that much(and been satisfied). The server was sweet, but she wasn’t keeping an eye on her customers. We had to try to get her attention several times. Finally, the flies got out of hand and we left very disappointed.

Update — haven’t been in for a while but brought the family back for lunch and found they’ve hired a new chef. Everything was as good as before, just slightly different. The meatloaf is now enhanced with a boiled egg and bacon wrapped, so that’s just more stuff I like. My wife had the shrimp, her usual, and it’s as good or better. Her dad had his favorite, the grouper sandwich, and he was happy with it. Quiche of the day was mother-in-law’s choice and today was especially good. Service has always been good, and today was no exception. This is a great little place to enjoy.

I’ve been to this place a bunch of times, and after giving it some thought, I have to give it five stars, mostly because it’s such a good value. These folks are always pleasant and accommodating and the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The food is sometimes amazing and sometimes not so much, but I’ve never had a bad meal here. When I’m looking to go out for a nice meal, this place is on my short list. We’ve had our Valentine’s Day dinner here at least three times, if that says anything. I recommend it.

What can I say? My friends and I meet here every now and then for lunch, the staff is always friendly, we have great rapport with them. It’s such a treat. It took me awhile to get used to the new menu but it’s good now. They have many gluten free items and are willing to work with you for your dietary needs.

A group of friends and I went for Sunday brunch. And had a good time. Overall: Good atmosphere, good food, large portions, great waitstaff, good pricing Food: With only a couple of exceptions, all brunch menu items had ham/bacon(the quiche was even double bacon). While most like ham, I am personally not a fan and would have liked to see more variety. Prior to our meal, we were treated to some fantastic mini muffins(twice!). From the menu, I chose the omelette with spinach, mushrooms, and onions. The omelette comes with a choice of bread, and I asked for the biscuit. I also requested the«sawmill» gravy. The omelette was large, and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were also cooked through well. The only thing missing from the omelette was salt. I rarely add salt to my food, however the omelette needed a lot more when it was cooked. The biscuit was also cooked well and had a perfect texture and taste. The small amount of gravy given tasted more as if it was made from a mix than from scratch and was sadly too thick for the traditional«biscuit and gravy» dish. My friends had the Breakfast Wrap, Bananas Foster French Toast, and Eggs Benedict. The portion sizes were more than ample(especially the french toast), with almost everyone taking extra home. Of the meals served, I think the Eggs Benedict was the winner. It looked like the classic dish, and was cooked perfectly. On the other hand, the wrap seemed to have changed from how it used to be made and, while good, was not something that my friend would have ordered again. Service: Christian was our server and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. We arrived before the«rush,» but even when they were busy, Christian was checking on us just as before. I would definitely ask for him next time. From my point of view, the other wait staff were also attentive and keeping busy.

As a vegan when I travel to small towns I don’t expect to find much when I go out because usually it’s a slew of southern fried restaurants. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find this place online and with all of the good reviews I had to check it out! Everyone was super informative about the food and they were able to accommodate all vegan requests. The chef himself even came out and spoke to us about the food and let us know what our options were. The food was delicious, staff friendly and hands down the best restaurant in this area. I will definitely come back to this restaurant next time I’m in the area for sure.

I live in Dahlonega, and this is my fave place. Recently, however, they lost their excellent chef Rick, and I was worried. And… as predictable, things did change. I tried a few times, and finally decided to contact the owners. I’d already given feedback to the wonderful servers, and the new chef, Zach. Guess what! They fixed it. Returned to some preferred purveyors, and that was all it took, because Zach is a great chef. The owners listened, which is amazing, and this is a GREAT stop for a very good meal. Try the grouper tacos, or the grouper sandwich. Or the hen salad. Or the fried green tomatoes. Yummy, at least those are my favorites. KK

I go here to eat about 6 or 7 times a year. The food quality and service is consistently above and beyond other restaurants, not just in Dahlonega but also Atlanta OTP also. The chicken tastes like it was just slaughtered right when I walked through the door. Of course, it probably was. The back deck is nice. If the lower lever is too full and they have the staff, they might sit you in the upstairs room that I jokingly call the looney ward. It’s private and quiet up there. And since I don’t think Lumpkin County posts their inspection scores online, I’ll tell you that the report that they prominently display at eye level, within 10 feet of the door, as required, has been an «A» every time I’ve been there.
