I used to work here and though I did like the general format for the workers… I thought my coworkers were extremely boring, uninteresting, and bland… No-one was really having fun and I find that sad… i remember my first restaurant(which will rename nameless) and it was hard work but we had fun, laughed, went out, and generally were happy to see each other… how times have changed… i guess I didn’t enjoy myself so naturally i quit and moved on. The food is descent, and they have a great selection. i haven’t been back since… about a year ago…

Great food with huge portions. Our server, Brogen, was super fun, friendly, and attentive.

Must get: fried jalapenos and queso. This is an always whenever we go. When you walk in, the menu is above the cashier counter. So you order when you walk in, take your ticket and your drink and choose a seat wherever. There’s an outdoor patio as well as tables and booths. At the table, you have paper towels, a few condiments(ketchup/salt/pepper), utensils. Server will come by to confirm your order. Food: My go-to is the fried crawfish. It’s perfectly fried, not too heavy on batter and seasoning is fine. Fries are okay– nothing special, sometimes too salty. It comes with cocktail and tartar sauce. But best is dipping in leftover queso. Service: Service is usually fine. They’ll come by and refill your drink for you. Sometimes check on you a little too often or sometimes be too slow. But I haven’t had a terrible experience. Sometimes when you’re watching them expedite the food, the interactions between the staff are a little awkward to watch(not always so professional, but I guess the atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and casual but still it takes a little bit off from my confidence in what happens if no one is watching). Atmosphere: Again, relaxed, casual, sports-y. if that’s even a word. There are a plenty of TVs on the walls that are running sports channels. Décor is all centered around sports pretty much. It can be pretty loud even if there aren’t many people around. Overall, it’s good family friendly dining or relaxing with friends or significant other with some decent food.

Service was good but all the food was too salty and room temperature. Most likely won’t return.

Have been to Wiilie G’s several times over many years and each location is the same which is good and bad. Food here has never ever been anything special or worth craving. In fact, I don’t frequent here because of it. Cold beer, watch a game with friends, friendly service. That’s about it.

You order at the counter when you walk in. They give you a ticket and your drinks and you find a table. A waiter comes over to confirm the food and then they put the food order into the kitchen. My smoking hot girlfriend and I split a burger, and when it came out it was cut in half for us already and on two different plates. I hadsweet potato fries which were above average. Her fries were okay. The burger was cooked to perfection and they did not skimp on the cheese. They had a very good beer selection and the beerRita was big and delicious for under eight dollars

Ok it’s official the crawfish its the BEST here so far and we tried 5 or more other places, the seasoning for it is what sets it off, it’s different then any other crayfish place! Go see for yourself bring the kiddos they have a sand pit while your relaxing, just please watch your kids because they don’t and make sure they wash their hands after!

My family and I used to eat here often, but after what I witnessed last night, that is definitely going to change. First, let me agree with those who describe the food as «so-so,» or bland, or cafeteria grade, or worse. Some items yes, some items no, but overall, the reason anyone continues to go here is convenience and location. If you have kids to feed, this place gets the job done. However, take note: If you get by this Willie’s in Cypress, in the HEB center at Barker Cypress and 290, and you are without kids and you and your spouse, friend, or significant other want relatively fast turn-around of service, sit at the«bar» table that is across from the kitchen window where the orders come up when ready for serving. Now, watch the staff real close, especially the guy in the black chef’s coat that acts and looks like a manager, but also watch the table wait staff. As for the manager guy, who happened to be follicly impaired as well as diminutive in stature, albeit robust in diameter, let’s just say that he has a bad habit of constantly touching, scratching, and rubbing his sweaty bald head every 10 seconds or so, as well as rubbing the tip of his equally sweaty nose about as often, both with his bare hands and fingers, all in between the handling of orders as they would come into the ready window from the cooks. Unbelievable. Dude — please get a towel, some rubber gloves, and go wash your hands. Good grief. Marvin Zindler and Howard Hughes are both having a conniption fit. And the wait staff? Well, they too have an unbelievable fixated habit of rubbing their lips and mouths while they work simultaneous with handling plates ready for service. Seriously? Service with a smile, but please don’t mind where their hands just were. No telling what they are rubbing back in the kitchen. So, even if you happen to order something that they actually do well as a food item, it kind of gets ruined by the floor show the manager and wait staff are putting on with their hands, noses, mouths, lips, and sweaty heads that they keep rubbing and touching as they handle and bring your plates out to you… Did I say anything to Mr. Head Rub Manager Guy? Answer: No. Trust me, I did not want to ruin my experience any further by trying to negotiate hygiene with these people. Generally speaking, Cypress restaurants have the worst wait staff in Texas… if you can give me an exception, then please comment. Otherwise, have fun watching the floor show at Willie’s in Cypress next time you’re there, but you won’t be seeing me.

I love willies! My family has been going here for years and the atmosphere is what brings us back. I love getting the boneless teriyaki bites and the fries well done! They will do that for you and it’s great. The shrimp, burgers, and queso is also really good. Go there for a good time.

Its ok for typical lunch or meal. The wings werent too bad. They have huge selection of beer. You come in, go order your food and then sit down. Almost like a cafeteria but definitely not. They have wings, seafood and burgers. Not bad for all in one spot.

The service is funky. There’s nothing wrong with ordering from a counter, but then to send a waiter to the table to read back your order to you? That’s just odd. The food is lunch line quality at best. Very cheaply made food with no quality or chef personality. Nothing outstanding here that you can’t get anywhere else. This place is just very mediocre at best.

We love coming to Willie’s and so do our kids. They love playing outside in the sandbox. It is nice to have a place where you can go and relax and the kids can have fun too. We love getting the chips and salsa or the chips and queso(they are great). The kids love the chicken strips and I have to admit so do I. Their fries are good as well. I get the philly willie cheese steak and I love it. All portions are more than enough and everything is reasonably priced. We get take-out a lot and they always get our orders right and usually have it ready by the time we drive there(ten minutes). We always get the to-go cups so that when we leave we can still have an iced tea for a few hours after. The staff is mostly high school/college kids. We have only had bad service a few times, but that happens every now and again. The waiters usually always come around and ask if we need refills or anything else. There can be a bit of a wait at peak times but we usually avoid that time.

This is a nice place to go to if youre wanting to take your kids and relax with a group of friends. But, not if you want to just go out and enjoy yourself. There’s always rambunctious kids and inattentive workers. I feel like they hire kids out of highschool so my standards must be lowered. They have ok alcoholic drinks, waay too pricey. The food, is food not impressive.

The food here is SO disappointing. My burger was bland and fell apart as I tried to eat it, my husbands chicken fried steak was chewy, with gravy as thick as peanut butter and instant potatoes. Yuck. The queso and chips that we ordered as a starter were very good, but that was about it for the positives of the grub. Every few months we decide to give this place another shot, so shame on us. The meals are mediocre at best, this time was no exception. I love the atmosphere of this place. Laid back, cold beer, cool décor, friendly wait staff, sand box for kiddos and a nice patio. Great place in every way except for the food. But, when you want to eat out the flavor and preparation of food pretty much makes or breaks a restaurant. Unfortunately for Willies, the food is the downfall.

Let’s start by saying I have never eaten here and it always looks packed. However my wife has been here and warned me that I should drive on. Being a stubborn man, naturally we ate here. The format: you walk in and see a huge menu on the wall. No problem, just like at spring creek. But you order what you would like for dinner, your drink, etc and then they hand you your order and ask you to find a table and THEN you get a waiter who asks if you want what’s on the paper then takes it to the kitchen. I realize this is a run on sentence but I couldn’t break up how crazy it is there. Accuracy of order: don’t stray off what’s listed as the condiments because it confuses the staff and you just simply don’t get it. Mayo and mustard on a chicken sandwich? «But the menu says only mayo…» Add jalapeños? Sure thing! But you won’t get them unless you ask for them separately. The food: the best part of my meal was the side house salad that I asked for before my meal, but got it with my burger anyway. The burger? Standard frozen patty you would expect at any high school cafeteria. Want mushrooms on it? Sure! However they are uncooked, canned mushrooms that get like warm from the burger. Was it edible? Of course. Was it good? Um… The fries? Tasted like they were cooked in the same friers as the fish. I’m pretty sure it was just super old oil as my waiter guy assured me they aren’t cooked in the same friers. Now they did have a nice draft beer selection and a unique drink, jack and cola slushie. It was pretty damn good. Overall: might go back for happy hour and get drinks. And nothing else. Food was marginal at best and not very«fresh» tasting. If you’re starving and it’s the only place that’s open? Sure. If you have a choice? Venture elsewhere my amigos. Moral of this review? Listen to your wife.

Well I must say I have refused to come here for years just because well the food was gross. They have really turned things around it seems. The cheese dip is great and the salsa is awesome. I had the fried fish and shrimp. Better here then most seafood places I have tried as of late. Also had some boiled crawfish. Once again better here then most seafood places. The outside sitting area is really nice on a spring day! Enjoy

My family and I ate here recently he had a waiter named Nick. This is our second experience having him as our waiter. The first time he just never came back to our table to see if we needed anything. We gave him the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was just an off night. This past week we went there(it was about 45 minutes before they closed) and my daughter had to get up and get her dad’s refills for his drink because we never saw Nick for refills! My husband’s chicken wings were bloody on the inside(GROSS) he continued to pull them apart to see how many were raw. I told him to order something else but since we never saw Nick our waiter, he could not do that. My husband finally gave up. Over half were under cooked. I had to ask another waiter to get Nick to come to our table so I could say something about the raw food. Nick said oh I’m sorry I will have that removed from your bill. Good thing we were planning on paying for it anyway considering he could not eat it anyway. We waited 20 minutes for him to talk to the manager to get that meal taken off of our bill & for him to bring the check back to us. Once again my daughter got up for another refill for her dad while waiting another 15 minutes for Nick to come back to pick up the check. My husband had had enough he took the check up to the front and asked for the manager. The manager did not want to come out of his office. Some woman was in there with him and saw my husband standing there waiting it was almost like you had to beg the manager to come out of his office. He did come out and he told him«well you must be the one who had the chicken wings I already took those off of your bill», like he expected us to pay for a meal that he could not even eat to begin with — are you insane! Yes I would like salmonella! And I want to come to a restaurant where I have my kid serve us, and I also would like to PAYYOU for serving us raw food and getting Salmonella!!! Yeah that’s what I want, Get for real! WHEREHASCUSTOMERSERVICEGONETOO!!! Oh, we have had great waitress there. And good food just not lately. But if you go and Nick is your waiter —MOVE. Sorry Nick you need another way to make money.
