Be nice to answer the phone when people call in instead of hanging up in their face 3 times. Not even a hello… Just click after waiting patiently. Oh well, maybe they didn’t add that into account for customer satisfaction. Can’t get anyone unless you go in I guess. Oh but the croissants are excellent:)

Good food at good prices. The croissant rolls are the best. However, service is almost always bad if not horrendous. Out of 10 visits we’ve had 2 good waiters. Keep going back because the food is consistent, price and good portions.

Been here frequently in the past. Last visit was about one month ago. It has ALWAYS been hit or miss with the service and the good. This time it is a total miss with the service. Can’t say if it is just the cook moving slow or the server or both. Just recd our food after ordering almost an hr ago. It took 15 min to receive 2 waters and a tea after ordering drinks n food. Then the tea was not sweet tea as requested. However we couldn’t tell the server til almost 20 min later, cuz that was the next time we saw him. The water always tastes like sea water but I always forget and order anyway. Well out appetizer honey butter croissants came out a lot 30 min after ordering. This whole trip was not even worth it. I should’ve been in bed by now. Hopefully they can straighten this whole mess of a Cheddars out soon before they shut down, as this is one of the most affordable restaurants in a good driving distance from home. I MAYGIVETHEM one more chance. Ugh!!!

I try to come here as much as I can. I love the service. This is my favorite restaurant. I haven’t had a problem from any location.

My name is Reginald Jackson. Today is January the 18th I arrived at this location on hwy 290 with my pregnant wife and was expecting a normal cheddar a experience but ITWASTERRIBLE. The hostess sat us on the bar side WITHNOCUSTOMERS. We sat for 10 minutes unserved no drinks no greeting NOTHING. We took I menus and decided to move. WESATFOR about 9 more minutes(yes I was counting) and wasn’t greeted ATALL. Never even had a drink order a customer was seated(3) three minutes after us and requested a specific waiter who greeted them promptly and took there entire order so me and my wife decided to leave and go DIRECTLY next door to salt grass steakhouse who is NOWGIVINGUSAWESOME service and we don’t mind spending a little more money for better service! You can feel free to contact me(832)-457−3864 I would recommend anyone to this location. THISWASPOOREXPERIENCE!!!

Took forever for the food to arrive. No customer service, did not care. With all the empty tables they had to put us together right next to a large party. Baked potato was still hard, sent it back to get mashed potatoes. Will NEVER return. Food arrived cold. Cheap and poor quality.

This was my first time at this Cheddar’s location. I had an awesome server named Reggie. He was great and his service was great. But… I ordered my usual pecan chicken salad and when it came out I began eating and noticed a huge piece of clear hard plastic in my salad. Everyone at the table was shocked by it. It definitely scared me but I remained calm and nice and asked for the manager. The manager, Troy, did not want to come to the table at first. I said I would wait for him and he finally came. I was very respectful and I didn’t want to cause any trouble but of course I wanted the situation to be handled. Troy was very rude and snappy with me and did not even apologize for what had occurred. Troy was not a hospitable manager and I was very disappointed by the way he handled the situation. I will not return to this location.

We went to eat around 5 ock on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty when we arrived. I had a party of 10, 5 of them were kids. The food was reasonably priced and so were the drinks. I ordered chicken fried steak but my meal came out after my whole table finished eating their food. We asked the manager to comp our meal because we had to ask our waiter every time we saw him. He did not comp my meal but he did give us a free desert. Otherwise the food was good and honey butter croissants were yummy.

Horrible service! I can’t believe it will take 35 minutes for a to go salad. The girl in the bar is the slowest server i ever seen. They need to put someone that knows who to run a bar or at least knows how to treat the cuatomers.

Their food is cheap so I wasn’t looking for anything above average. What turned us off was the service or lack there of. The last time we went there we waited 15 to 20 minutes for somebody just to take our drink order at the table not the bar! We have to speak to a manager manager came up and asked what was wrong we told him that we had been sitting there and no one has come take our drink order. he said he was sorry and he would go get our drinks 10 minutes later he never came back so we just got up and left.

This place is so debatable. Half of the staff is good but the other half is so bad it just doesn’t make up for it. You can sit at the bar on an empty week night and it still takes them 5 minutes to acknowledge you. The drinks are more messy and unequally poured. Food isn’t pricey and you can taste it.

This location is horrible. The service was very horrible as well. We were seated and a waiter did not come and greet us. I had to get up and ask who was our waiter. They were alot of waiters standing around and watching the football games that were on and not paying attention to the customers in the restaurant. I feel this location has alot of young people working here who does not know to service customers or know the first thing about great customer service. I been to this location on more than one occasion to see if the service would change and because it’s close to our house. I rather drive to the cheddars on I 10 bc it’s a totally different feel and vibe.

Cheddars is good restaurant. I recommend the chicken fried chicken, the bourbon sauce is the bomb. The desserts aren’t really my favorite but they are good. The Monte Cristo sandwich is also very delicious.

Went at a slow time, 3:00, and we were seated promptly. But we sat at the table for 10 minutes and never waited on. We got up and left.

I love Cheddar’s. Their prices are amazing! You get a ton of food for your $. Our favorite appetizer is the Santa Fe Spinach Dip. It’s a huge amount that you get for only $ 5.29! Almost every time I order an entrée, I wind up having to take some home. I absolutely love their chicken tenders and their broccoli cheese casserole! If you ever have a lot of family come into town and you want to go out to eat somewhere but don’t want to rack up an insane bill, come to Cheddar’s!

Wait time and service wasn’t bad and the spinach dip appetizer was creamy and delicious. I had their ribs and shrimp combo. The ribs were nice and moist on the inside, little crispy and barbeque on the outside. The shrimps were grilled and seasoned well. The mac-n-cheese was also creamy and good. The atmosphere is kinda outdoors, modern look. They have a nice big fish tank and a bar.

People who think Red Lobster is the cheap date place have clearly never been to a Cheddar’s. Whenever my sister and I would crave inexpensive American food that wasn’t across town, we would settle for this because not only were prices excellent(I mean, you could literally come here with a $ 20 bill and leave with change for two people!) but the food was usually pretty good –or at the very least, edible. I can’t count how many times we’ve gone here and ordered our usual spinach artichoke dip appetizer and whatever entrees we fancy for the evening with no problems at all, but it only takes one experience to ruin everything. It happened about six months ago. We started off with our usual appetizer and while she was happily munching along, I dipped into the red salsa that accompanied the dip and lo and behold… a receipt. Not just any receipt, like it just fell into the salsa on accident, but one that had been sitting in the salsa container for so long that most of the words on the paper were barely legible and one of the few words that we could make out was«RECEIPT.» The paper practically took on a new form of life as it was shriveled to almost a half-dollar size(ha, remember those?), soaked red, and 100% masked by the tomato chunks on top of it. Ew. We immediately informed the manager, who so kindly gave us a new thing of salsa(really?), comped our appetizer and hoped that we’ll «come back soon!» Lol… lolololol… needless to say, we haven’t been back since. PS: On the bright side, food is probably still cheap here and our waitress that night was super nice!(Six months later, I still can’t stop laughing about this whole situation, like what?! Unbelievable.)

So going here has its advantages but so far service has been decent. Food takes a while to come out There’s no consistency in the way you order a plate if you tend to order the same plate frequently you always have somewhat different way its prepared everytime you order it. Servers are young and sometimes inattentive but seem to try. Decently well maintained as far as cleanliness Overall its not bad unless you get a server that just isn’t interested in serving you.

As far as chain restaurants go, I rank Cheddar’s near the top. The prices, quality and consistency(and most importantly buttery croissants) keep me coming back. For lunch you can’t beat the ½ sandwich and/or bowl of soup, salad, or baked potato for 5.99. On a recent visit the waiter was a tad pushy about offering us dessert. Dude, I’m stuffed and have two packed to-go boxes, get off the gas about ordering dessert!

I have only been to Cheddars about 4 times, but to this one twice, besides always being crowded the food is fairly decent, always hot and plenty. Once seated, the service is good and quick. Until this visit I had never had an alcoholic drink at Cheddars. The drinks are huge and cheap and strong, actually the entire meal including drinks was only $ 42, that’s impressive. We will definitely return, especially for cocktails!

With drink prices like these who needs happy hour? I love this place! Service: ehh I’m not coming here because I’m expecting world class service, I’m coming here because this place gives you the most bang for your buck. The waiters and waitresses here are friendly enough but they tend to be a touch unprofessional and forgetful. They get what they need to done and that’s good enough for me. Food: don’t expect anything fancy, it’s just simple good food. You’re getting huge servings, some with sides and all for a really reasonable price. The honey butter croissants are to die for. The menu offers a wide array of dishes, steak, chicken fried steak, pasta, fried catfish, burgers, there’s something for everyone here. Drinks: the drinks here are huge and cheap! I’m not sure where in houston or any state that has margaritas the size of your head for less than $ 4 all day every day. They have a full bar with a menu of specialty drinks.
