Unfortunately, I feel like Lisa doesn’t make time for her clients anymore. Twice I’ve been in there. And she’s really tried to rush me out the door. The last time I went, she even thought about not washing my hair. Not okay!!!
Now that she’s an owner, she doesn’t have time to cut hair. I’d have to call ahead of time to make sure she’s there. Then I need to make sure she doesn’t have a bunch of people there.
She used to spend literally a full hour cutting hair. Now 20 mins for wash and cut.
After almost a decade of getting my hair cut by Lisa, I have to go back to Hair Dio, where I met her.

Lisa has been my hair stylist for 6 years and she’s wonderful! She’s the owner of R&D and a fabulous hairstylist! I am a very picky person when it comes to hair. My hair is really tough to cut, color, or style because it’s super thick, coarse, and naturally frizzy. She does an AMAZING job every single time! I usually get a cut, straight perm, or a regular perm, and coloring.
Her coloring skill is the best and she always manages to perm my hair without damaging it (in the past, I’ve gotten my hair almost fried at other salons). She is very polite, courteous, and enthusiastic. She really loves what she does; she studies the newest & hottest styles and recommends styles that fit me. Most recently, I got a «silk volume digital straight perm», with 3 tone coloring and cut. She used 3 different colors/​tones and I’m very happy with my look! She takes care of my hair after perms and gives a complimentary hair treatment.
Also, her pricing is very reasonable and affordable! The best part is that she uses great products. She’s a very professional, talented & friendly! Ive tried many hair salons in Orange County, especially in Irvine and Garden Grove areas but she’s the best! I highly highly recommend Lisa!

I decided to come here after a different hair salon’s bad customer service turned me off.
The Korean lady there at the time (Lisa) has been a hair cutter for over 30 years. She’s really nice, and although her English is broken, she still makes an effort to communicate to her American clients, offering them styling tips, etc.
I came in for a Magic Straight (a straight-​hair perm) and it was only $ 100, including a trim. Most other places charge at least $ 130, all the way up to $ 170 and will charge extra for a trim. $ 100 is a great deal, especially for a broke student like me. She did a very good job — one of the best I’ve had done (2^nd only to a lady who did it in Korea.)
Lisa asked exactly how I wanted my hair trimmed, unlike many other Korean ladies who never listen to their clients and do what THEY think will look good.
My sole complaint is that she thinned my hair out a liiiiitttle too much. My hair was very thick and heavy, so I think I’m just shocked/​not used to it yet. It’s not noticeable though. Just clarify how much you want it thinned-​out and I’d suspect there’d be no problem!
I think Keratin treatment and volume treatment cost extra, so make sure you talk about those options!
When I asked, she told me that women’s haircuts are $ 30, but that she has a stamp-​card system so that you’re 10^th or 11^th haircut is free.
There was another gal there with boy-​short hair who came in for a haircut as I was leaving. I overheard her saying that her friend recommended her to Lisa because she cut short hair very well, so there’s that! The customer seemed pleased with her cut, too.

Got bright orange hair when I asked her to touch up my haighlights! After 3 HOURS of applying chemicals and 2 rounds of weaving… my hair looked horrible! My skin was burning last night because of so much chemicals this lady (Lisa) applied to it. The biggest mistake of my life. She didn’t communicate much with me… I just asked her to touch up my highlights so I thought she knew what she was doing. It looks nothing like what it use to be. She claimed that she had 15 years of experience! I would give it negative ratings if I could.
