Lisa cut my hair. She’s a cute Korean woman. She speaks very little english but just show her what you want and she can do it.
And that’s what I did, I showed her what I was going for and she got right to work. The techniques she used were definitely better than the cheap $ 10 hair cut joints I have been to. She was very detailed in thinning out my hair and trimming where it needed to be trimmed. For the $ 20, she cuts your hair, shampoos, and then styles your hair for you to go about your day.
I knew Lisa did great because the very next day I met up with my friend and she said my hair looked great! That was the first thing she noticed. I’m definitely a fan and coming back.

I never cut my hair. I finally went in for a cut/​trim after 8 months of avoiding it. I hate going because I’ve never found a salon where they know how to give me what I want. But this was the first time I went to a salon where I got exactly what I wanted and was more than happy with the results.
I went in for a walk in on a Thursday afternoon. There was one other person waiting to go before me and she was getting her hair colored. Once that client was started, Lisa started on me, so I didn’t have to wait long (5 minutes).
Lisa did a great job with my hair. I’ve never been happier with someone working with it. When I walked in I wanted to clean up my hair with a 2 inch trim, get rid of the split ends, and fix my bangs. Even though we didn’t speak too much to each other, she still understood what I wanted.
I also learned how much I don’t know about my own hair when I went in for my cut. She did do a couple things that we didn’t discuss. BUT it’s crazy because those were the things that I LOVE the most about my visit. She made my bangs shorter than I originally planned, and she thinned out my hair a little. I originally wanted my bangs to be on the longer side and I didn’t even think about thinning it out in the moment.
With the bangs, I’ve gotten used to people just cutting it quickly and leaving me with a chunk of shorter hairs that feel clumpy and ungraceful. But when Lisa was working with my bangs, she gave it more life. My bangs look much more light, feathered, and graceful than before. She spent time on it to make sure it was just right, which I love.
And with thinning my hair, it has crossed my mind once or twice but I never verbalized that I wanted it. Now I can see how that’s a problem for some people, but for me, I was okay with it. My hair is thick, and usually feels suffocating because of it. I noticed after she thinned it out a little, I felt like I could breathe more, because the extra weight was taken out.
You can really see that she is a perfectionist in her work. She took so much time with my hair and finally stopped trimming it after she realized she was going to take too long on it. I’ve never felt like I had so much attention for a 2 inch trim! (Granted this could be because her other client was still waiting for the color to set in, so I was the only other client there at the time)
Regardless, this is definitely my go-​to place for now on. My hair has never felt more amazing from a haircut before. I paid $ 35 for my wash and cut, and she also styled it a little for me. Amazing and will definitely come back before 8 months for this experience again!

My sister recently found out about this place on Unilocal and got her hair done. When my sister came home, her hair was shining and it looked absolutely gorgeous! So, I decided to get a magic straight perm here and I am glad that I did! The owner, Lisa, is amazing with hair! My hair was really damaged due to all the perms and hair coloring but Lisa put the best hair treatment product on for me and really made sure that I had no damaged hair after I got my hair done! I really happy that I now know about this place and I will definitely come back next time!

Lisa has been my hair stylist for 6 years and she’s wonderful! She’s the owner of R&D and a fabulous hairstylist! I am a very picky person when it comes to hair. My hair is really tough to cut, color, or style because it’s super thick, coarse, and naturally frizzy. She does an AMAZING job every single time! I usually get a cut, straight perm, or a regular perm, and coloring.
Her coloring skill is the best and she always manages to perm my hair without damaging it (in the past, I’ve gotten my hair almost fried at other salons). She is very polite, courteous, and enthusiastic. She really loves what she does; she studies the newest & hottest styles and recommends styles that fit me. Most recently, I got a «silk volume digital straight perm», with 3 tone coloring and cut. She used 3 different colors/​tones and I’m very happy with my look! She takes care of my hair after perms and gives a complimentary hair treatment.
Also, her pricing is very reasonable and affordable! The best part is that she uses great products. She’s a very professional, talented & friendly! Ive tried many hair salons in Orange County, especially in Irvine and Garden Grove areas but she’s the best! I highly highly recommend Lisa!

This was my first time here. I needed cut and color. I was helped by Lisa who did a terrific job. The color came out really nice. At first I thought she was leaving it in too long as I could see my roots brightening. And then when she took over with the scissors and all the texturing, I thought I was going to walk out bald. So I was a little afraid but after going home, flipping it around more, I really like the cut. She took her time and I like how she constantley examined my hair as if it was her artwork… which it is. I could tell she really was into it and it was important for her to do a good job. I’ll let my hair grow out for months before I get it done again. With this cut I know it will grow out nicely. I’ll definitely be coming back here again.
