Fast service, great food, one of the best Thai places in Houston! We arrived right before closing time but they were courteous and nice. We’ve tried this location and the location on 1960, and both are very good!

Went in for lunch over the weekend and this place was fantastic! I had the red chicken curry and it was quite possibly the best I have ever had. Our waitress was very nice and friendly, answering all of our questions without seeming annoyed at our lack of «Thai Knowledge». Great place!

This restaurant is so close to where I live and was excited about that considering I love pad Thai. However, each of the few times I’ve tried the chicken pad Thai here, it wasn’t that good at all. It’s very bland unless you ask for it to be «medium». And medium can be extremely spicy depending on which day you order it(not consistent). I’m not a big fan of the«sauce» in the pad Thai. I also end up with a raging headache every time I eat this so I’m guessing there’s a lot of MSG used. Gross. The service here pretty much sucks. If you even get service, they’re always rude, and God forbid you ask them for anything extra while your eating or they make it seem like your a pain. I can’t say I’ll be back after I’ve given this place multiple tries.

First time here. The yellow curry was great. Wife had the panang curry and that wasnt to good. Not the best kids menu either. But what bothered me the most is that we got sat in the back close to the kitchen And everyone else was getting seated upfront. We felt a bit discriminated against. Beleive me i never use this as an excuse. Jerky skewers were also not very tasty.

Came here for lunch after hearing a lot of good things about it. It was disappointing. I have had better Thai at Nit Noi, and it definitely doesn’t even come remotely close to Bangkok Chef, downtown, or any of the Thai restaurants I’ve been to in other cities. The yellow curry was bland with very little chicken in it. Spring roll was bland. Lemongrass soup was OK, but not very fresh tasting and a bit too salty. I might come here again and try some other items, but I won’t be in a rush to come back. The people working here were very friendly, which is the one really good thing I can say about it. Overall, meh.

This has rapidly become our favorite Thai restaurant! The food is phenomenal, the service is great, and the ambience is nice. Our favorite dishes are the curry puffs(wait till they cool a bit or it is like eating lava pastries!) with a savory chicken curry with potato and carrot, as well as crispy duck fried rice. The servings are huge — unless your appetite is enormous, most of the time there is enough left for the next day’s lunch. The Thai coffee and Thai tea are delicious. The only downsides are the dessert options, which are very limited, and none of them are desserts I like, though he likes the coconut ice cream. We have literally never had a bad meal there.

I had the red curry chicken. The flavoring was okay but I wanted it extra spicy and there was barely any kick. I am also used to more of a creamy curry and this one seemed very watered down. I did love the vegetable crispy rolls! I would go here again to see if the curry incident was just a one time thing. We don’t have many Thai places in Cypress so this will do when I am needed a fix.

Anothai is right down the street from me as I live in the cypress area. I’ve been here a few times, and the food is alright. The best way I can describe it, it that it scratches it the itch, but sometimes I could have been looking for more relief. The flavors to me are a little mild for my taste in regards to the red curry. I will continue to come here more out of convenience, than favoritism. If I really have a craving for fantastic curry, I might look elsewhere.

Love this place. Tried the pad prik king catfish and it was fantastic. Would get a two next time on the spice though(4 is Thai Spice) and I usually get one step below. Their fried rice is amazing. I love the house fried rice with cashews. OMG. Have also tried the snapper, green curry, parang, yum woon sen… all were delicious. Sometimes the service is slow but the food is worth it. I am very picky with Thai food, but my craving is satisfied in lieu of hassling my mom to cook

Not bad for Asian food in the burbs. The restaurant feels more advertised for a family. Their tables are covered with white paper and there is a cup of crayons on the tables for kids to draw on. They have pictures plastered in the hallways going into the restaurants. I honestly think it is a bit tacky, but hey. It’s what they want. Pad kra pow:(5⁄5) I ordered it Thai spicy and it didn’t feel that spicy to begin with but it hits you later on. It was very enjoyable in that sense. The dish is very flavorful. I even brushed off some sauce onto my rice. Good lunch sizes portion of chicken, green beans and basil. Pad kee Mao:(4⁄5) this was ordered with medium spice. Not spicy enough for me but it wasn’t my choice. Good flavors. Not s fan of huge chunks of tomatoes though. Would I come back? Would not if it weren’t for lunch during work.

I love this place. The customer service are great! I’ve been going to this place for 3 years and nothing changed! Try Thai tea(milk tea) for $ 2.50. Poorman noodle is recommended. Whole fish fry with basil leaves are also great! I like this location better than the 1960.

Only 4 stars because I’ve only tried 2 basic dishes here. I don’t doubt that the next choice will be great as well. I was in the mood for chicken wings and didn’t want any fast food chain or common wing place. The service here was superb by Rin n with a smile! She even answered all of my husbands questions about Thai history, food, etc. The chicken was crispy, hot, and flavorful. The only odd thing about the food was sprouts in the Fresh spring roll n the rice paper wrap was kind of thicker and gummier texture than I’m used to, so I probably won’t get that again. Will do the wings again n perhaps pad Thai, which is my hands down Fav thai dish. The water even tasted great(I think I drank at least 3 glasses). This is a great Thai food option close by in Cypress!

Very good service, quick and the food was delicious ! We ordered the chicken with rice plate, pad thai, and that spaghetti, all were tasty and fulfilling :) I recommend the thai spaghetti, but be careful with how spicy you order it. I would also recommend trying the Thai Tea, looked delicious ! overall, very good place !

Food: Ordered food to-go here. The food isn’t particularly memorable. It’s just okay/meh. I ordered a pad see ewe dish. The texture was just a little too mushy/soft. The noodles were all in short pieces. The flavor was almost there. My husband got panang curry, which wasn’t as spicy as expected for the spiciest level. Again, the flavor was almost there, but overall okay. Both were about the quality that we could probably make at home. Calamari was yummy though! And portion-wise, there’s definitely plenty of food in one meal. Service: I thought it was okay as well. Nothing particularly special. However, one the the staff had gone out to smoke for a bit so when she came back in, the entryway area near the bar just smelled like tobacco. That’s a bit deterring when the summer air is just so hot and oppressive, then you add on cigarette smoke on top of it. Ambiance: The décor is sort of this fusion-y feel. The furniture and furnishings seem more randomly eclectic. They have a nice outdoor patio that might be enjoyable on cooler days as long as it’s not overrun by cigarette smoke. There is also a bar area as well. So lots of different seating areas. Overall, it’s a solid 3⁄5 for food. Definitely not amazing or particularly remarkable, but decent. Honestly, I’d probably try another place before coming back, but I’d likely give it another try if I didn’t feel like leaving the immediate Cypress area.

Crab fried rice was really good. Full of flavor. I forgot what the dish was called, garb? It served with lettuce to wrap and it was DELICIOUS. Sticky rice w mango was yummy. The Thai iced coffee was sooooo good. Sweet enough for me and in a tall glass to boot.

This is the 2nd Anothai I’ve been to(1st being the one on 1960), and I can say that their quality is on par with each other. The menu is also the same. Pretty good Thai food for relatively cheap(compared to other Thai restaurants). FOOD(3⁄5): * Beef pad thai($ 9.95) — tangy, saucy, huge portion! The noodles’ texture was perfect, not too hard, not too soggy even though they’re drenched in sauce. I like that they put the carrots, bean sprouts, and peanuts on the side so that I can mix into the noodles as much as I want at a time. HOWEVER. Their beef is too hard and dry. My friend got the beef red curry and also complained about the same thing. The 1960 location’s beef was dry, too, but I gave this location the benefit of the doubt. Guess not :( * Shrimp blankets — basically deep-fried shrimp wrapped in wonton/egg roll wrapper. There’s a thin strip of lemongrass in each that you may or may not like. My friends didn’t like it but I was fine. I think if they minced the lemongrass, it would have been more enjoyable. Also came with sweet & sour sauce, shrimp chips, carrots, and red & regular cabbage. SERVICE/AMBIANCE(3⁄5): Service was fine, nothing to write about. Plenty of seating, inside and outside. There are crayons to draw on the paper table cover while you wait for your food :) VERDICT(3⁄5): Will be coming back if I get a Thai craving, since it’s close to home. However there are better Thai places somewhat of a drive away.

I love this place. It never fails when I need a low budget Thai meal in my neighborhood. I always get my usual Pad See Ewu, which could fill up 2 people, but I stubbornly eat for myself. Their mango sticky rice is the best I’ve ever had! I will continuously keep on coming back until otherwise. And yes, the crayons on the table are for writing on & if you request, or if your drawings are plain cute they’ll post it on the bathroom wall
