Not bad, the meat can be pretty dry. Just average overall, the fish taco’s don’t have much flavor and they don’t have a big selection of salsa’s to pick from to kick things up a notch. The rice is dry and boring, too.

Fresh, healthy options, reasonable prices, beer, and really friendly service. They have a low-carb option, which basically wraps your fish taco in a lettuce leaf instead of corn tortilla. A dream for a girl who’s trying to watch her figure. Too bad I always end up by sharing a pitcher of beer w/my boyfriend and messing-up the low-cal attempt. Oh well! I also love their chicken tortilla soup for some reason. It’s a REALLY simple soup and according to their website it’s only 54 calories. OMG… gimmie 10 bowls stat!

We have become regulars at Wahoo’s Fish Tacos. It’s a casual, fun atmosphere, the prices are excellent and the people there are so friendly! Outside of the fish tacos, which are good, the spicy chicken is great in anything. I also really like their salsa. Burritos are good, but my favorite is their quesadilla. I’ve had it with the spicy fish and spicy shrimp and both are delicious! We’ve actually had to limit how often we go to Wahoo’s so we don’t get burned out :).

Yummy! When your getting sick of Chipotle-go to Wahoo’s! I love their Bonzai burrito with teriyake marinated veggies and spicy chicken. No guac or sour creams needed! my recommendation: call ahead and pick it up!

I have come here on Tuesday nights because its my late night at work and I can get a decent meal and a cold refreshment and well relax. I always leave here satisfied even if I do eat by myself and the other patrons stare at me but then again I didn’t have a pen to give them an autograph, but the staff is SUPER nice! loved it. its my hangout… on tuesday nights.

The décor at Wahoo’s always sets my teeth on edge. I mean, seriously, try to find a square foot of surface area that isn’t aggressively branded. The place is a version of hell created by(or is it for?) marketing MBAs. For years when friends took me here I resisted the brand image by trying to order normal Mexican fast food. The results were generally meh. I think my refusal to «go with the flow» was the problem. On my most recent visit I decided to order Mexican food as if I’d just fallen off my skateboard and conked my head for the umpteenth time. I ordered a special burrito with all the crazy ingredients they put in it and on it, and you know what– it tasted good. There’s an idea for you marketing MBAs to consider as a slogan — «Wahoo’s. Mexican food for people with brain damage.»

the décor of the place is very laidback with big windows, lots of sunlight and lots of vibrant color. The tacos were fresh tasting and relatively light, I ordered the maui bowl from some recommendations here and the meat was pretty good but imo meat rice and beans don’t make a complete meal, could use some more lettuce or teriyaki veggies or something.

Okay to be completely honest I’ve only HEARDOF fish tacos through«Forgetting Sarah Marshall», yeah that one movie where Jason Segel shows his full frontal within the first 10 minutes … ANYWAYS! My trip to Wahoo’s was a spontaneous visit, since I’ve never had it and it was the first thing I saw as my stomach was yearning for something delicious. I got the Cajun Spicy Fish on 2 Corn Tortillas and Alex K. got the Shrimp Enchiladas. Alex K. and I asked for waters for drinks and our cashier offered us FREE Monsters, how awesome is that? Today Monster was there giving out free drinks, stickers and such. We sat down and without having to wait 5 minutes our food came out. I topped my Fish Tacos with Lime, added some Green Jalapeño Tabasco sauce(which is WAY better tasting than the Tapatio) in this case. The fish had heat and was perfectly cooked I could’ve done with a little less of the chopped cabbage, but it added a nice crunch. The corn tortillas are perfectly paired with the fish, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Btw, if you are a fan of enchiladas and love the melty, gooey cheese get what Alex K. got.(I regret not asking for a small bite to taste, daaaang it!) WAHOO! FISHTACOS. Servin’ it up!

I’ve only ordered 1 thing from here. Surprising enough, it has never been their fish tacos… After staring at their menu for a good half hour, I decided to go for the Banzai Burrito :) I’ve had it with fish, and the chicken. Fish was good, but chicken wins with that burrito. I mean, how can you lose? Tortilla, meat, teriyaki mixed veggies… COMEON! That’s a freakin awesome combo if you ask me. They are pretty big burritos, which isn’t the easiest or neatest thing to eat… But hey, in the comfort of my dining room, I can eat as sloppy as I want. And yes, I enjoyed every sloppy, drippy bite of my burrito. Once I get over my «omg teriyaki in a burrito???» phase, I will order the fish tacos. For now, I am very much content with the banzai burrito… To whoever invented it, YOU’RE A GENIUS!

2.5STARS I ordered the Combo #2. It’s two tacos or enchiladas. I went with the shrimp and fish taco with white rice. I didn’t have any expectations since it was my first time walking in here. Their interior was interesting to look at. I grabbed a seat and then my food was brought our shortly after. I thought when they asked me what kind of rice I wanted, I assumed it was going to be inside my taco, not a whole bed of it. There was way too much rice. I would say ¾ of my plate was covered in rice. I felt bad because I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it all. The tacos itself was pretty okay, not bad but not really something I would find myself craving for.

We got a bunch of free burrito coupons from Wahoo’s at the Snowbomb show in San Jose. I’ve never been there, but how bad can a free burrito be? Well, maybe not bad, but certainly not good. You get a decent sized burrito with beans that are super runny and either under-salted or OMG! Tooooo… much…salt! as you clutch your chest and promptly have a heart attack. There isn’t much meat in the Chicken or Steak burritos and I don’t know if it’s because we have the coupons or what. But mostly it tastes like a so-so bean burrito with a surprise piece of meat tossed in. Way better burritos are to be had in the Bay Area. I should try the tacos and see if it improves my opinion. After all, it isn’t Wahoo’s Fish Burritos, now is it?

Wahoo’s is another one of those places that i personally would never choose to eat at, but i end up eating at on someone else’s suggestion. Came here last night after class to meet up with the team for a bite to eat. I ordered a carne asda quesadilla for myself and carne asada nachos for the table, with all the fixin’s, $ 15. pretty steep for a ‘dilla and nachos, especially considering that they are the most basic iterations of the respective dishes that you can get: quesadilla has only tortilla, cheese and meat inside; nachos have only chips, beans, chese, and meat. Like, these are no frills dishes, but the prices are not. Other than the price and the basicness of the food, there’s nothing wrong with it… tastes fine. Someone else ordered the kalua pork bowl, which was served on a plate??, and it came out luke warm. I can’t stand getting warm food, i want my food served hot like it just came out of the oven/frying pan/etc, ESPECIALLY on a freezing cold night like last night was. Someone else ordered the teriyaki beef… which was standard, though out of place for a ‘fish taco’ place. I will never suggest wahoo as a place to go, though if someone else, for whatever reason, wants to eat there i would go, but i wouldn’t like it.

I’m going to call Wahoo’s grossly overrated and overhyped. I’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time and was totally disappointed. I’m a fan of fish tacos — and Wahoo’s caught my eye, and their reputation made me believe I was getting something fantastic. I ordered the #2 — Spicy Fish Taco, Spicy Chicken Enchilada, brown rice, spicy white beans. I love spicy food and this spice was all wrong. Spiciness with flavor is ideal, this was«just make it hot» spicy — no love behind it. The chicken, fish and beans all tasted the EXACT same, hot. The fish and chicken was really overcooked with ZERO juiciness. Enchilada sauce was pretty good. Cool décor and surfer dude theme, OK prices, mediocre food. But don’t believe the hype — this place is no better than Baja Fresh or Rubio’s. And in the TMI department — this place had me running to the john within an hour.

I came here earlier today for a lunch with my friend. The location is tucked in a plaza by Vallco with a vast parking lot so parking was super easy to find. We entered the restaurant with almost nobody there except for 1 person eating and the workers. The décor is nice and I felt like I was in a really lax environment. The person who took my order was really friendly and talked using slang and incorrect grammar, I was surprised by this since i’m used to the robotic language always used in normal food chains. I ordered the 2 fish enchilada combo plate with a fountain drink. Free refills are always awesome although I was cool off of one pepsi, trying to watch the portion control, ha. My friend ordered the 2 spicy fish taco combo and we traded an enchilada for a taco. The food is yummy and I like Wahoo’s better than Rubio’s. The portions are immense as I couldn’t finish all my black beans and rice. This was my first time trying it and since the Santana Row location is closer to my workplace I think i’ll be heading there from now on. Good job Wahoo’s.

As a vegetarian this place does offer non-meat items. They are literally veggies. Crazy just a bit. The sauce they use for the veggies is like a teriyaki sauce. At first I was like whoa, then I grew to love it and finished my whole taco. I think it is scam that you have to pay $ 1.50 for chips and salsa. But I guess. The place is very clean, the staff were really nice. I just wish that they put beans in their tacos instead of all these healthy veggies.

Blechhh. Broccoli in my burrito? No thanks! My Banzai burrito came with fish, pico de gallo, BROCCOLI, hella black beans, rice, and some other veggies. Overall, not that great of a combination. I shoulda looked at the menu more carefully. I like my broccoli with beef, not dried up fried fish. The fish tacos were also really plain and had no flavor whatsoever. It must have been because the tortilla was just stuffed with a crap load of cabbage. Okay, I’m being harsh. Plus 1 star for cute décor. :)

What a pleasant surprise. My sister and I were looking for a quick dinner, which usually involves lots of grease, and a case of MAD guilt, but not at Wahoos. Sarah S. and I ordered basic nachos, a burrito and a side of taquitos. Everything was really fresh, tasted great and came pretty quick. I like the laid back atmosphere and ample parking. We walked out with full tummy’s but not that weighed down greasy«I hate myself» feeling, so we will definatley be back. We have already thought of other friends that would totally dig the place.

My favorite fast food joint at the moment. A perfect place for a cheap, quick bite when you’re in a hurry but don’t want to resort to those artery-clogging burgers and fries. They offer«an eclectic Mexican/Brazilian/Asian menu» and a «Hawaiian vibe.» Yes — highly confusing, but very intriguing. I crave for the wahoo bowls(either chicken or fish) and banzai burritos. You can get the meat or fish 1) flame-grilled, 2) blackened, or 3) teriyaki. I believe flame-grilled to be the best option. The fish and meat are often hard and not exactly appetizing… but hey, they’re good enough for fast food. The ahi rice and black beans aren’t bad either. When inside, I try to fool myself that I’m in Hawaii… never works, unfortunately.

LOVE Wahoos! It’s such a great lunch spot. The food is fresh and good, the staff is friendly, and the prices can’t be beat. I go here pretty often and get 2 tacos a la carte: one flame-broiled fish and one either shrimp(great flavors in this one) or pork. My friends also love the bowls. They are quite sizable and put teriyaki type sauce on the pork one. I’ve had the burrito with the teriyaki veggies some times but it’s a big large for me.
