I will just say it., this place is plane NASTY and it Is. $$$$ too expensive. It cost $ 27.00 for two adults to get 1 meat and. 2 veg and drink. The food is Blane, no seasonings a RIPOFF. I can not believe they are even around this long.

Great little breakfast place right in town. Friendly, good prices, great food. Have had just about everything on the menu, and zero complaints. Recommend it to anyone who wants a good southern breakfast, quickly and inexpensive…

Great food and great service from Melissa and Melissa. Have been enjoying breakfast here for several years now. Food is always good and prices fair.

Fresh, hot breakfast and great service. Prices were great too. Had Jake’s Special and the Southern pancakes. So much food we almost couldn’t finish, but we did!

Came in for brunch with my mom as we came here before the restaurant moved and loved it. I opted to get lunch instead of breakfast. I got grilled chicken salad, and the first bite of chicken was very chewy and overcooked. I placed all the chicken on a napkin and just ate the lettuce and cucumber. We didn’t see our waitress again until we were both finished with our food. She asked how everything was and I stated the chicken was very chewy and not good. She simply made a grossed out face and said«oh». She came back with our bill and asked if she should take the chicken off the table. Disappointed with the service and unfortunately won’t go back again.

Cool local spot, country fixin’s and lots of locals. Sweet tea is flowing and the service great, fast and country friendly, sprinkiling in sweetie, honey and more. The house they work out of is old but don’t let that fool you.

Nice, hometown feel. Wife says they have good coffee. Staff is always pleasant. Always neat and clean. Great downtown Cumming location. Never had a problem parking. Food is solid and consistent. Nothing stands out as extraordinary but that’s not why we come here. It’s just good food and homey.

Station House is a hometown restaraunt. It is family owned. That family feeling is extended to each patron. Regulars are often greeted by name. If you are a new patron you might feel the wait staff is gruff. They are not overly friendly. The food definitely has a home cooked feeling. They serve home style breakfast, complete with country ham or strick o lean. They have homemade biscuits & gravy. Daily specials are delicious & feel like something my Grandma would serve. Yum! Don’t let service reviews make you miss out some great southern cooking.

My experience with the station house was awful. If you are catholic, hispanic, black, asian or anything thats not WHITEPROTESTANT the owner and most of the employees will not like you. They are complete bigots. Almost every single person employed there is WHITEPROTESTANT except for latina employee who works in the back. If you are white protestant and don’t support bigotry then don’t eat there. If you aren’t white protestant don’t eat there, they simply don’t like you nor do they want your business.

The service here is great. The atmosphere is great(unexpected based on the location). The eggs were great(though I guess it is difficult to screw up eggs). The strawberry pancakes are good(I’d heard too many great things… my expectations weren’t met). The menu is ok(a bit limited as the main side item with everything is grits… what’s a girl to do if she doesn’t like grits?). The sausage patties were poor. Rock hard and dry. More like jerky. I’d come back because there’s not much else in the area for breakfast, but I wasn’t overly impressed.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the Station House and found it to be a little overly priced. I have been 3 times and found the food and service mediocre. I wish it was better… we need a GREAT breakfast place.

I haven’t dined in since they moved location, but I frequently stop to get a biscuit and coffee to go in the mornings. THEBESTBISCUITS I HAVEHAD!!! Seriously — I’ve tried every biscuit at every hole in the wall in Forsyth County, and these are the BEST!!!

Fantastic home style country food. The service was excellent and it’s a cute little place right in the middle of old downtown Cumming. I had the chicken pie, Mac n cheese, green beans and biscuits — all of it was fresh and delicious! The biscuits are huge!

If it was about the food alone, this place would easily rate 4 stars. Fried chicken – beautifully excellently moist. Green beans – fresh. Biscuits – maybe my favorites in Forsyth. But wow, the service. Getting a server’s attention here is like trying to hail a cab in Manhattan.

The food there is pretty good, & the servers there have seemed really sweet. We actually went there quite a few times, but the last time we went there(& it will be my LAST time there), we had a problem. The food was coming out really slow & sporadically. We had a party of maybe 8& our dishes came out like 2 at a time. When we complained to our server, a few minutes later, a woman, I’m assuming the owner, b/c she seemed to be in charge, came flying out of the kitchen demanding to know who was causing trouble. We explained the situation, but instead of doing anything about it, or even apologizing, she got very hostile & defensive. Thus, I will NEVER go back there which is a shame since there aren’t many places with decent b’fast food close.

This little hide-away in downtown Cumming is a nice place for an old style breakfast. Service is friendly and timely. They use paper thin bacon which is nice. It just dissolves on your tongue. The pancakes are good and the biscuits are homemade. We’ve eaten here 3 – 4 times with the same pleasant experience each time.

I have been to the Station House twice now and thoroughly disappointed both times. In both instances, the waitresses were rude, the wait for service was long and the health score rating was low. When I went to the station house for the first time, I asked the waitress to split my check from my friends and she made a rude comment and said when we paid up front they could split the bill. She had made a mistake on the bill and when we pointed it out, she wanted us to pay for the extra item which we did not have. Finally, she said, just don’t pay anything. My friend and I stated that we wanted pay our check just not the item we did not order. Then, after we finally paid, I did not know there was not a place on the credit card receipt to add a tip. When I asked about it, once again the waitress was rude. I gave the Station House a second chance and when my friends and I sat at a table, we waited at least 15 minutes before approached by a waitress(and the restaurant was not busy) This waitress, a different lady, was not pleasant at all and I was glad she did not pay attention to our table. The health score rating both times I visited was poor– an 86 two days ago. I called this morning to talk to a manager about their service and she was rude. I told her my concern about the waitresses and the health score and she blatantly lied and said their score was a 95. At that point, I said goodbye and hung up the phone because I could tell the manager had no customer service skills at all. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Good food; BAD management. Good biscuits and decent prices but the owner isn’t friendly @ all. Waitresses are friendly however and try to make up for owners lack of social graces. As a customer, I don’t have to be given the royal treatment but a friendly«hello», «good-bye» or «thank you» is always appreciated and goes a long way; This owner will barely look @ you when she takes your order. Floors /windows/napkin holders, etc are always greasy and it doesn’t have a very«clean» feel to it. It takes FOREVER to get your food and owner gets defensive and rude if you dare say anything about it. Also note… you can’t add your tip after your credit/debit card is run like in most restaurants and the owner doesn’t tell you this before you run your card. When I asked her to re-run it for the tip she wouldn’t do it so I had to go across the street and withdrawl cash to bring back for the waitress. Honestly, I’ve given this place several chances but in the end, never feel very welcome here. In today’s economy, customer service should be the number ONE priority of any small business; especially one trying to come off as a «small town country» sort of place. If you don’t care enough to say hello… I don’t care enough to come anymore.

Large biscuits and some of the best I’ve ever had. They have great country ham and regular ham. They also have all sorts of other breakfast stuff. Pancakes, grits, eggs, bacon, gravy biscuits, etc. We’ve ordered the blueberry and strawberry pancakes and they are delicious. The service is quick and fast. They have have waitress service on the weekends which is the main time I can go, but I understand during the week(maybe for lunch) you just order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They are now open Mon-Fri from 7am to 2pm and on Sat from 7am to 12(noon).
