I like Copper Coin. Good coffee, but I keep coming back because Margie is so awesome!

I was looking forward to my visit to this location of Copper Coin, as I’ve been to the location in Woodstock and had a great experience. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this location. The shop was scheduled to close at 8pm, so I had my friend order me an iced decaf americano at 7:50pm. The barista proceeded to tell my friend they could not make it. I suggested a few other decaf drinks and the barista said she couldn’t make any decaf drinks for me(iced or hot), because it was too close to closing time and they had already cleaned up. When I arrived at 7:55pm, I walked in to give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another chance to serve me. The barista told me they closed early since it was a slow night and could not serve me. I should have asked to see the manager because when you say 8pm, you should mean it.

Just ok. Not as good as Cupbearer was. I don’t like that they only have 12 and 20 ounce sizes. I don’t think I like the espresso base that they use either… not sure but maybe just not my preference. Good, not great.

Found the place based on Unilocal rating. Disappointed. Below average taste and snobby waitress.

Inconsistent service and coffee. Been here several times. The last visit: Ordered an iced latte. It was made with coffee, not espresso. You can’t pass coffee as substitute for espresso. Had to ask about it; they said their espresso press was broken. Maybe tell the customer that before they order. It magically worked again after asking for a credit for another visit. Also ordered two passion fruit iced teas. They ran out of tea on the second one so it was just colored water. Need to employ people that take pride in their work. As a business owner I would be embarrassed by these shortcuts. Standard coffee isn’t bad but pricey. Hoped for more after the last place closed down. This community needs a consistent, premium coffee shop. It’s a bummer that I skip by to find a Starbucks. Please get better!

This is my favorite coffee shop. The food is amazing and I’m so glad they are here jn Vickery. I’m living the fresh egg sandwiches and hand made coffees and espressos. So good! Thank you guys!

The spicy egg and cheese sandwich with avocado is amazing. Great service and it’s always with a smile. I’m used to coffee at Starbucks and they made the same drink I get at Starbucks and it was great.

Weak compared to the Woodstock location. Consistency of the milk is bad: No foam incorporated into the milk. It’s just espresso and warm milk. Middle schoolers come in after school and make lots of noise.

I was a frequent regular at cupbearer to the point of calling them friends, and I hear so much hate about copper coin for taking their place. They bought the equipment and moved in. There’s no reason to hate. They have amazing coffee and great service and I will be their new regular.

I was an avid cupbearer supporter from day one at their original place at Lakeland plaza. I understand that when a business is bought things change but my taste has not changed which creates the dilemma of trying to like a new place, new management, new formulas, new menu. The vibe has changed slightly, it had more of a relaxed feel to it. The people running it were not in high school by the way lol although they were young looking, I assure you they were well over 21. The coffee has definitely changed and isn’t the same, not to say that the new coffee isn’t good, I just prefer the original. Now the frappes have grossly changed, they’re now a dessert shake with a little coffee, must ask for expresso to get close to the taste. The food menu is no longer displayed which makes it easily looked over for customers coming in. And the food options aren’t health friendly for post work-out. And the cuisine now is pretty specific to people who like chowder, seafood and Cajun. Not that I don’t like that but not sure if it fits the coffee café theme in cumming, Georgia. I’m giving this place 3 stars based on overall taste of drinks, food, food choices and ambiance. The parking is also challenging but that’s always been an issue, so no deduction there. Keep improving and I will keep swinging by :) Update: they keep expanding and improving their offerings. Latest news is that they will offer wine, craft beer and light food. Maybe in about a month, will check back

This is for Copper Coin and it is one of those times in Unilocal where I wish we could give ¼ and ½ star increment ratings. I would give a 4.25 to leave room to update to a 5 in the future. I ordered a 12oz mocha and a spicy breakfast sandwich. My sandwich with bacon, egg, avocado, and spicy mayo hit the spot. I look forward to seeing how the menu grows and morphs. My mocha was near perfect… meaning the espresso tasted well extracted, the milk was not overheated(few bubbles larger than the point of a sharp pencil) so it had a very good microfoam, and the chocolate was not overly sweet. They are dialing in their skills on this machine knowing they have room to grow.

This was a nice surprise. I have drove by a few times and finally decided it was time to stop in. It is close to my gym so I really can see myself stopping in a few times a week. The staff was very friendly. Margie and Madison made a great drink. The white chocolate ice chiller with an added shot of espresso was definitely a winner for me. They have food options but I didn’t try any on this visit. This location also has a wide range of seating including a great outdoor patio that is covered. My only suggestion would be to turn on some coffee house styled music. It was REALLY quiet in here and it would certainly help the vibe. Highly recommended overall. Bring your own cup and help save the environment.

I’m sorry but the coffee is horrible. Whatever kind of milk they use but it taste sour. I’ve tried this place 3 times but I’ve just thrown away 3 cups of coffee. What a shame as it is a good location for me.

No way to know… Very disappointed — read reviews and menu online — got excited about trying this place! So, to be safe, I called to ensure they were open«Yup, we’re open until 8 tonight» I then loaded up the family and headed out in the rain. Arrive, climb the stairs(hungry) then walk in… This was about 2:00pm. The kitchen was completely closed! «We’re only serving coffee now» How about letting potential patrons know about these little windows when you actually serve the items your website posts on it’s menu!!! Again, very disappointed…

My brother took us here and told hyped this place and let me tell you he was right! The place I loved how roomy this place was for a coffee shop. If just want to hangout with a group or friend or get some work done this is a great place to do it. The building has character it isn’t anything near cookie cutter. The staff They were so friendly they told us all about the menu and even was kind to our small niece. I would go back just to get the great service. The food My brother tried to get me to order the Peanut butter latte I just couldn’t do it because that just doesn’t go with coffee to me. Boy was I wrong he ordered Peanut Butter Latte and gave me a taste. It was so smooth and blended so well with the coffee. I had to admit to him I was wrong. I ordered a Caramel latte which was equally as good. The difference between places like this and Starbucks is the beans. You can taste the quality in the coffee unlike Starbucks and yes I am a gold member! We also had a variety of breakfast sandwiches which were very good. The verdict If I leaved near I would be there weekly! If you are in the area you have to give this place a try. As a coffee lover I highly recommend you give this local place a try!

I like this place. I had a marvelous cinnamon spice decaf tea latte on Saturday, made by the owner. But when I came back on Wednesday for another, it was just hot milk. If they can get consistent, this would be my go-to. But I can’t pay these prices for hot milk.

Who would have thought a lavender cream latte would be a thing? Well, it is, and it is fantastic! If you’re looking for a bubble tea, try the brown sugar. It tastes like a smooth cinnamon roll and is super comforting and delicious. Good vibe, good service, and an overall fun place. The Cupbearer could easily become my new favorite place.

Fantastic addition to the area. Loved the atmosphere, the food was great and the coffee exceptional. All of the flavors are homemade in house. The vanilla latte was one of the best I have had anywhere. Even got a Peanut Butter Latte for my husband to try which could have gone really wrong but was fantastic! Especially loved the outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

I met a friend here today for breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit which was awesome. I was going to be a pig and grab another one, but my friend was eating healthy with the Power Grain cereal so I resisted the urge to be a glutinous fool. I also had the mango raspberry lemonade. Yum! Very cute place and the owners were super friendly :)

This place is super expensive or maybe I was overcharged this morning. I paid $ 8 for a bubble tea and just one biscuit… and the biscuit lacked flavor big time… I’m still cringing by the fact that I paid $ 8 for a bubble tea and a biscuit!

Yummy flavors and friendly staff. You might have to wait a little while during busier times(weekend mornings) but it is worth the wait. Traditional flavors and some more exotic… lavendar vanilla is one to try. Actually tastes… flowery. Great place to catch up on paperwork or study.

My experience was exactly the same as PaulJ. Took at least 15 min to get a single cup of coffee. I like the atmosphere and all, but a coffee shop should be able to produce a staple order in a much shorter time. If one orders something exotic, the time to prepare should be longer which is understandable. That day the coffee wasn’t as good as my French press home brew. Was a disappointed as my experience at their previous location was much better. Perhaps the staff didn’t have the barista skills mastered just yet. I have hopes of a better experience next time.

We loved our visit to the cupbearer. My husband ordered the raspberry cheese latte and I ordered a decaf Carmel mocha latte. Both drinks were phenomenal! The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. We loved the décor and paintings and the overall ambiance of the cupbearer. This is a very special neighborhood gem!

Just stumbled upon the new location with a friend — very roomy inside and great little cozy area. It does take a few more minutes, but they bring it out to you so who cares! The white raspberry and lavender cream lattes are awesome! Will definitely be back. Great service.

I just moved to the area and was searching for a local coffee place to get my fix. I decided to try The Cupbearer this morning for the first time and I wasn’t disappointed. As I walked up the stairs I heard someone behind me ask«Are you looking for coffee?» I responded yes and was told I was heading in the right direction. Right before entering, the man behind me introduced himself as Anthony, the owner. He showed me inside and gave a very welcoming, personal experience. Not only was the coffee AMAZING but the owner and staff were gracious and so very nice and helpful. Great place to keep in mind if you are looking for coffee and a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy it in!

Don’t miss a chance to visit this very special coffee shop. We used to drive twice as far to visit their other location before this one opened. There just isn’t a better cup of coffee around. Right now they source a few breakfast items fresh from local providers, but word on the street is that they’re bringing in a chef to create a breakfast and bistro menu. Can’t wait!

This place is amazing, great drinks/coffee and delicious syrups to add. Try their Peanut butter latte, do it. You won’t regret it! So glad Anthony decided to move this within walking distance, I may frequent this every morning to get my caffeine or breakfast bagel fix, or maybe even sit out on the porch overlooking the courtyard while I work. Who knows, the possibilities of awesome are endless!
