CLOSED as it should have been a long time ago. Horrible service, food was blah, and seemed management didn’t care. Shame because the building has so much potential and the only thing around that exit.

This place is always understaffed and it is always the same excuse, trivia night! Food is good but poorly managed!!! It can also take awhile to get your food.

Spotty, inexperienced service, girl was nice but relatively clueless. Witnessed one kitchen guy smoking in the parking lot and then he went back into the kitchen and began handling food without washing his hands. Gross! Oyster po-boy had no pizazz and the steak was tough and flavorless. Menus needed to be wiped down – old, sticky food residue on both menus brought to our table. Just overall an abysmal experience. We won’t be back.

I’ve driven by here for several years. We stopped in tonight for a quick dinner. The place is a little confusing. Is it Cuckoos Nest or Braise? It was a little slow to get seated and settled. Once the food was serve our attitude changed. I had a veggie plate me my daughter had chicken tenders. The Black Beans and Rice were very Good. Collard Greens also excellent. Chicken Tender very good and huge portions. We will be back.

I moved to Cumming back in November and always drive by this place. I was intrigued to stop by and finally did tonite with my fiancé. This was a really nice chill place. We hung out, bartender was very attentive and the atmosphere was fun. People were funny and having a great time. We will definitely return.

I have to agree with the last couple posts they are dead on the service at this place is the worst I have seen went there two nights ago with the family my mother in-law could only get one drink in the hour and a half it took us to get our food but they still my sure the 5 drinks we order that we did not get were on the bill the food just plain sucks it’s like the food and service are having a race to see who is winning and the customer is losing big time Stay Away!

This resturant I have tried 3~ 4 times, I was one of first to try this place and during lunch the chef came out to check on what I and friend thought of the place. Pretty cool to meet the chef. I Returned like 3 weeks later they chef had been fired, I had three ladys I took to lunch, and I am talking ttal disastrous, nothng came from the kitchen. The. Best way I can describe this resturant is simple.(nasty). It appears to have tuned in to a sport bar witch beer and poker night. I would not allow myself to even give it anoher try.

If you want food opinion, scroll to the bottom. I’m a local that does not frequent this place often for a few reasons: The hours of operation between 7 – 10 Sunday through Thursday are inconsistent. Story: my wife and I came in for a late night drink on a wed(8:45). We Sat at the bar. We were eventually greeted by a young, blue eyed, somewhat snobby and entitled, blonde bartender who reluctantly approached me and my wife. I ordered a beer, my wife ordered a margarita with salt. She was immediately annoyed… Any locals know what bartender I’m talking about yet? I think so. She knows who she is… Nice fake tan… Anyways, she begins to tell us she doesn’t have salt. I can see salt in her margarita caddy, whatever. She botches bartender 101 with a junk margarita while denying us salt because she’s lazy. Let me add, she was complaining constantly about having to work late… After handing us our drinks, she says: «Last call@ I ask: «What time do you close?» She says: «We are closing in a few minutes.@ I ask: «Oh ok, what time do you close?» She says: «Well it’s slow so I’m closing early.» So we order another drink to hold onto. She walks back over and tells us the bar is closed when she delivers the drinks. Here it comes… So a few minutes pass… I see her take a shot with a couple of locals at the end of the bar. This was about 10 minutes after she told us the bar was closed. No more drinks… The same people she took a shot with ordered another round. By this time I’m talking about 30 minutes after the«bar is closed» She looks at us, shrugs her shoulders, makes the drinks for the other guests and makes one for herself. Ya I can go on… but I won’t. Food on the dinner menu is above average for a bar. Pork chop is great. I’ll still come to the Nest, but I now enjoy spending my money and leaving a bad tip for her :) All the other staff is great. Ditch spray on Barbie tan girl please… Ya you know who you are.

I didn’t eat the food but I did enjoy drinks and the band that played downstairs. We had a blast. And it’s pretty cool they had cabs out in front to drive people home. Good time. Good vibe.

Food is horrible, and so is the service. Seems as if every old burned out hoochie mama in forsyth county has worked here at some point. The owner is a total jerk, he built this place«assuming» he would get a 3 dollar café franchise but they till him to take a hike. The owners of Cue’ sublet their kitchen and dining room and their BBQ isn’t anything to write home about. Also, the FCPD has several cars posted here on weekend nights. A true redneck paradise!

Great food and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. I visit frequently. Although I do wish the outside patio was open more often during the summer.

I wrote a very bad review the last time I was there — about 6 to 8 months ago. I returned the other day for lunch to see if anything had changed. To my pleasant surprise the food had improved. When we arrived there was no one in the upstairs Resturant. There was but one Server working also as the Greeter. When we left other customers had arrived. I had a very good meatloaf plated on top of very good crisp green beans, and very good mashed potatoes. The only thing off kilter was the sauce that had one ingredient that was a little too much, but it was still good! Keep up the good work Coo Coo!

A few years ago we ate here and were highly disappointed with the food. We did not go back for years. Recently we had friends tell us that the food was much better so we headed downstairs to see some friends play and try the food. We were happy when the food came and it was an entire new experience. After we finished we moved to the bar because some folks needed a table. Let’s just say the service at the bar was the worst I had ever experienced. Not with just one bartender but all of them except Greg(he was the saving grace for everyone around us). We asked 2 of the females bartenders about some of their craft beers and they could not tell us one thing about them.(just a little training can fix this) then after finishing a beer it took over 10 minutes for anyone to realize we needed one. All the while the young bartender was busy chatting with her friends sitting next to us and giving drinks away all night. Another couple next to us had to get the attention from the bartender each time they needed something. We decided to come back the following weekend and give it another try and we got the same terrible service at the bar. Its sad that this place is loosing money and customers because the girls behind the bar are«entitled» and have no idea what they are doing.

The food is awful, considering these are the people who own Q, the service is non-existent. Ample parking, and convenient to the lake, but that’s about it. This would be a great location for a REAL restaurant. What a disappointment.

I have been here twice now, Im super glad we had such good service the first time, because the second was not stellar. There is a really awesome bartender(Carrie P.) that works downstairs on the weekends, and the first time we went here we sat at her bar and ordered some grub. On a side note, They are owned by the same person that owes ‘Cue which is a pretty tasty BBQ place in Milton. They get all their ingredients locally, break from a bakery in Atlanta, meat from Ferguson, seafood from savannah etc. Orders are made to order and you can actually taste the difference. We got the Hooch beans(crispy green beans) with an amazing dipping sauce, Also the Potato skins, and the pork nachos. The food was quick, tasted incredible. and Carrie gave us recommendation for the next visit– since we were so stuffed from this. This visit was an A++ I raved about how good it was, so a group of 5 of us came up here again on a Saturday about noon. We sat downstairs again, The service was slow… each of the 4 adults ordered an app. we got the margarita flat bread, the hooch beans, the fried pickles, and the blue cheese chips. Took about 45 min for them to come out, all were hot and fresh. We also let our eyes get bigger then our stomachs and ordered food as well. That all came out about 30 min after the apps. The food was tasty! we got french onion soup, a Philly, hot wings, a burger, and a kids hotdog. the portions were all generous– i do not recommend adding mushrooms to the burger. they come out as big slabs of portabellos… not easy to eat on a burger. My main negative for the saturday visit was there was a big lack of service, which i can understand the transition and opening, but still there were 5 of us and we saw the server maybe 6 times in a 2 hour visit(inculding dropping off food and check)? So Yes Go there, but either sit upstairs, or go later at night when you will get proper attention :)

We tried this place a couple of years ago and the food was uneatable. I can’t describe how bad the food actually was it was so bad. However, we heard that the owners of Cue’s(a local BBQ hotspot) had recently acquired the dining portion of this oddly designed establishment. So we went back and tried it again. The food I am happy to say is much improved and some of it(like the pork nachos) is down right good. The menu doesn’t really have a theme other than maybe standard American fare, but it is good. The seating is nice and pleasant. The restaurant portion gets 3 to 3.5 stars. The bar in this place is down a flight of stairs. It is a bit odd. The bar area is huge with minimal seating. It is a full bar but has limited liquor options and they don’t seem to restock often. On our last visit they had been out of Kettle One vodka for 3 weeks. I think this mainly a beer type of bar. There is a nice patio where you can enjoy a cigar. The one seriously odd thing about this bar is that it is located in north Cumming which would be prime for country/rock music but the bar brings in an R&B singer doing karaōke style singing. It is a surreal. Granted I’ve only been here on Thursdays so the music might improve on the weekends. That bar gets 2.5 to 3 stars.

Pay attention when driving there, if you are unfamiliar, if not you’ll make the wrong turn and miss it and end up in the lake… I think. Old GPS can’t find the address! Yes, the place is super large, but it has to be, the only thing out in that corner of the hood to go do/see. Live band on Fridays is a very lively(read” Potent”) guy who sings with his entire body. He changed 3 times mind you, as sweat dripped from every orifice of his body. I really wonder what he is runnin’ on? Manager is amicable and actually comes around to check how everything is. Did not eat, and did not really have much a drink since I am on a drink hiatus, I did have a shot(surfer on Acid) and a salty dawg in the 5 hours I was there. Ample patio. The doorman insists he HASTOSTAMP you with the red ink stamp. Watch out light top! is not like we would be bar hopping around that neighborhood… there is nothing else there. Muy cheap drink prices. Come around after 10:30 for the change of scenery. A note to females: many a good looking fellow out here. A note to males: Come be the good looking guy.
