This was not my favorite place. My Bahn mi lacked sauce and meat. Then half way through my sandwich I bit into a horrible cucumber. I asked the person who served me the sandwich about it and he just told me it happens that’s how we make them. I’m an unhappy customer. No more Bahn mi for me from here

Went to this place because the food looked appetizing and it was anything but. I got the chicken banh mi, and holy cow, that chicken was waaaaaay over cooked like painfully over cooked. It was so bad I was hoping I find a bone or something so I could take the sandwich back and get a refund. Then I ordered two shrimp spring rolls, I didn’t think anyone could mess up spring rolls, but I was wrong. The texture was like hard bubble gum only instead of the bubblegum becoming soft and pleasant, this didn’t, it felt like hard rubbery bubble gum every step of the way to my stomach. Seriously gross. The only redeeming quality was the Thai iced tea which was good and refreshing but also THAI! The only thing that was good at this Vietnamese restaurant wasn’t even Vietnamese! Would not recommend or go back.

The grilled lemongrass chicken banh mi(#40) was absolutely delicious! I paired it with a Vietnamese iced coffee and had a lovely lunch… much better than your typical mall fare.

Food Court Phở — while the flavor of the Phở was acceptable, however it is served in a very thin plastic bowl with a very thin and small plastic soup spoon. Not easy to eat. Price was reasonable but I would probably not have it again just because of the cheapness of the spoon and bowl,

I have been here several times, it’s a location in the mall in the food court. It’s definitely one of the best choices from what they have to offer. I cant say its the best phở or bahn mi Ive ever had, but hey its mall fast food. Dont expect to be wowed but you will definitely be full and satisfied. The shrimp rolls is also another option if you’re not feeling too hungry. Sandwiches start at $ 5.99. The soup just needs to pack more flavor, the noodles seem to get stuck together. If you’re itching for your phở fix, this will work.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a walk-up phở place in a mall, but the food is actually much better than you might think, even though they serve the soup in plastic bowls. The phở was very good, tasted like it was freshly made, and had a generous amount of beef and noodles. Not bad at all

Not too shabby for a phở joint in a Shopping Plaza. The beef phở was tasty and the bahn mi was a bit harder to chew, but overall good flavors. You get seating around the kitchen, where you can carefully observe every move, if that’s what you’re into ;). It can be a little unnerving at times to see certain executions, but that’s sometimes part of the trade off. Overall, wouldn’t hesitate to come back again for some grub if I’m ever in the area again.

I didn’t expect much when I tried this place about a year ago. It didn’t have many reviews and the reviews were mixed. So glad I took a chance bc I Love their beef banh mi! Spicy, tangy and fresh. The chicken one was ok, but not as tasty.

Never been disappointed! Probably the only reason to come to the shopping center haha. Last time I dined here I was originally headed to phở show but the wait was out the door with people and big groups and there was no parking –looped the block twice and decided to come to the mall to satisfy my phở craving. Love sitting at the big wooden bar and the food is hot and delicious. I’m updating my review since it’s one of the places I love coming to.

This is a Phở kiosk in the food court of a mall so I really couldn’t expect much and I’m glad I didn’t. I work right by the mall so I’m pretty tired of all the food so I decided to try this place out due to pure desperation of wanting noodle soup. Not great but not the worst phở I’ve had. The cashier was actually really nice and gave me extra onions and green onions with no hesitation(usually Asians will give you a dirty look when asking for anything«extra»). His hospitality really made a difference from 2 stars to 3 stars. The soup was on the greasier side and the beef had bits of fat on them, but I wasn’t really surprised. The beef phở($ 7.29, $ 7.98 with tax) was actually tasty but it might have been due to the fact that I was really hangry. What really bothered me were the plastic bowls and spoons, it’s just the worst combination with hot soup. There is just too much great food out there but I probably will come back here to get my phở fix when I feel the itch and I’m too lazy to drive to 5i.

I’m giving it a 5, because it is really tasty. I had the lemongrass chicken bahn mi, and my better half had the beef phở. Both dishes were quite excellent. They were prepared quickly, and tasted great. The bahn mi was really affordable at only 5 dollars, and had plenty of chicken and nice cilantro and jalapeño flavors. It tasted pretty traditional! The beef phở was excellent. It was the right amount of salty and savory, I only had a couple bites but she was pleased. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in the mall.

Even though this phở place is in a food court, I was still expecting some basic noodles and generally standard broth — but it wasn’t even that. The noodles were stuck together like packaged noodles and the broth wasn’t anything special — just hot water filled with good olé’ msg. Just save yourself and don’t let your phở craving-that suddenly develops while you’re shopping-succumb to this location. Wait until you leave the mall and find a decent joint around the area.

this place may be the only reason I come back to this mall. The beef banh mi sandwich is really yummy. Perfectly seasoned beef, fresh herbs and veges, crispy fluffy fresh toasted french bread… but the viet iced coffee @ $ 2.50 was 75% ice so that was a total rip. Anyways, I won’t get that coffee again but the sandwich was amazing, maybe the best fast food court item I ever ate. After I ordered I saw small sign near the pickup window for a sandwich combo that included shrimp chips for .20 cents more. Next time I’ll go that route and definitely pass on the overpriced iced coffee.

Considering their food court location, it’s surprisingly great. I love the beef bahn mi and the warm shrimp chips. The chips are light and airy and so salty, savory, yummy! The beef was flavorful, though the bread could have been warmer/fresher. Can’t complain much, though. It was a decent banh mi at a great price!

A gem hidden in plain sight of the Culver City mall. So it’s been getting chilly this winter. Decided to do some laptop work but figured I’d get a quick bite at this phở place I’d pass by countless times at the mall. Ordered a beef banh mi and a phở with beef and meatballs. The order didn’t come right away unlike many of the other fast food take out spots around them. They took their time, ensuring both the sandwich and phở were ready to be served. Once it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The phở was decent. Perhaps one of the better places to get it in West LA. I’m not sure it will beat out places in On or San Gabriel but it still was decent. The banh mi sandwich though was divine. The bread was fluffy and soft on the inside, just the right crisp on the outside. The beef in the banh mi was also tender and seasoned just right. I take out a point for flimsy plastic soup spoons and slightly over cooked sirloin in the soup but come here for the sandwiches. And at prices starting at $ 5.00 per item, it’s a steal.

I come here for lunch often. The broth is pretty good and medicinal. If ever i feel a headache or just feeling out of it, I come here for some hot soup. The spring rolls are delicious and made to order. That means they are super sticky and soft when you get them. YUM!

Viet Gourmet Express: they know what they are, and they know what they ain’t. An emphasis on the«express» here, but this is not altogether a bad thing. For the phở, the broth isn’t freshly prepared: they boil up some water and add in whatever they add in. The noodles are those cheap, out-of-the-bag, fall-aparty-type noodles, and the pre-prepared tray of garnishes is unimpressive(the basil leaves are commonly marred with black spots, the bean sprouts are scant in number, and sometimes the lime(sometimes downgraded to lemon) is dried out). The Com(rice) and Bun(dry vermicelli noodle) dishes are fine I suppose, the biggest offender here being the meat, which is questionable in quality, a fact they attempt to bury under a veil of heavy salt and a cup of sweet fish sauce. The vegetables served with it are surprisingly refreshing. Portion-wise, they are decently filling, but still pretty light. Obviously nothing amazing here… so why 3 stars?(Let’s say it just barely squeaks by.) 1) They are fast 2) They have some very cheap phở(Chicken phở that clocks in at around $ 6) 3) The staff is very friendly and always serve you with a smile 4) **Most Importantly** I feel it is the least of the evils from among the dining options at the Westfield Mall food court, and I must say I am glad they are here.

Have not yet to try anything else but the Phở there… but it is all I need to try. It has enough meat & noodles to satisfy your craving for $ 10.99. There is also some Sushi & salads that look quite good but everyone at the counter seems to opt for the Phở so imma stick with that for now.
