Don’t order from here if you’re hungry. Delivery was once quick; now you might as well not even bother. Guy who took my order sounded high as a kite and our food never came. Makes me wonder if he even put the order in.

Definetly the wrong place to order to go food! I just spoke to the supposed mananger of this place Sabrina AKA a joke! She tried to charged me $ 3 dollars more on top of the $ 5 dollars delivery fee because she said i was 3 .4 miles… i have ordered not once but 10 times before and i have paid the $ 5 dollars fee… she said that whoever helped me before gave me a discount for the delivery! BS! Sabrina… nobody gives me anything free… hate when people try to be smart and take advantage of regular costumers! Good luck getting my business back! Hummus factory will do tonight!

Disappointed… When I first discovered Gaby’s on Venice Blvd Years ago wow I thought it was always good. Was excited when they opened the Jefferson location, I visited many times. It had been a while and thought about them today. Visited the Playa Vista for lunch. Ordered and picked up lunch for 4. We all sat at the table to eat and we were all quiet. We always ask each other how our food tastes. As my husband asked me I said I was very disappointed and one by one we all felt the same. My husband had the beef shawarma, so many pieces of fat, it was disgusting. I’ll try to upload a picture. I ordered the chicken shawarma the pieces were scraps and dry. My daughter ordered ¼ white chicken breast, she said it was dry and my vegetarian daughter said hers was ok no big deal. The guy that took my order was very nice and understood a couple of sides I could not pronounce. Spending $ 50.00 and being disappointed, I won’t be coming back. It’s sad when restaurants start off good to get you as a regular then the quality starts to decline. I hope that they recognize what a great location they have and the opportunity to be a great place for so many with the Playa Vista projects. Or it may just be like the playa vista greedy business folks that appear to not care of quality but quantity.

I dropped off my car for brake service across the street, and came in for a quick bite to eat. I immediately checked in on Unilocal, and saw all the bad reviews. I almost turned around to leave, but decided to stay because there were a lot of people having lunch and the food looked good. I’m glad I did! The food and service were great. I had the kabob combo plate, and was promptly served. Seating area is a bit small but the outdoors portion is much roomier. It sounds like most people with the bad reviews had a bad dinner experience, but I can assure you that lunch was great! Don’t let the low reviews scare you away.

This place always has such good creamy lemon chicken! And this time while I had to wait for my food I got a complimentary chicken soup!

The food at this restaurant never fails to impress. The place is clean, cozy and affordable. The food is great and service is prompt. Hope they keep up the good work. Will recommend it to all friends and people reading this review.

I always hang out at the Starbucks next door and since their parking lot is always full, I decided to park here and try this place. One of the WORST decisions ever. So no bathroom, McDonald-size portions for the pita sandwiches. There was like 2 – 3 small meat balls in the sandwiches. For $ 8? I might not complain if it tasted good. The sandwich was abysmal. Dry and the white sauce that came with it tastes like it was mixed with dishwater that they use to clean the stoves. I’m pretty sure I’ll be camping on the toilet tonight if the taste is any indication. Two giant thumbs and toes down for this place!

Used to love coming here for food. Recently the customer service is really lacking. Always being put on hold when I call in to a pick up order. Tonight I called in and was hung up on, called back, hung up on again, called back a 3rd time and was put on hold for 8 mins. Hung up called back again, the gentlemen who answer d the phone said can I put you on hold? I then said, I’ve been on hold already and hung up on. He then said well I’m with a customer. So I hung up. If I’m going to update this review I need to see customer service improve. There also is no sense of management anywhere, this place is totally ran by a bunch of teenagers.

Pretty good food, decent prices, service okay. I love the turkey meatloaf! My biggest gripe about eating there tonight, was having to endure listening to bad hip hop music at a high volume. If you don’t mind eating dinner while listening to lyrics punctuated with B and N words with auto-tuned rappers singing badly, then sit and enjoy. Otherwise, order and take your food home where you can choose your own music.

Avoid this place. Some of my coworkers got some food from here once and it looked ok. I went there to eat a few days later and it was horrendous. I like Mediterranean food but this is not it! Gabby’s is a fake. They palm you off with a load of hummus filled stale pita bread and to add insult to that it was filled with ropey brown lettuce. I was supposed to have chicken in my wrap but it was obviously the chickens day off as there was none to be seen. My advice for this place, 1st avoid, 2nd starve to death, 3rd go to McDonald’s

Away for a few weeks, stumbled on the Unilocal reviews for this place and was a bit surprised. Lots of 1-stars. Recent issues about a price increase and less choices, and indeed when I tried an online order, my usual 2 Mediterranean choices didn’t seem to be possible. But I did a workaround and ordered for pickup anyway. Food was terrific. Which it most often has been for me. I’ve been coming here since this location opened. Not perfect mind you. But generally a place I can look forward to once a week or so. The bad: the location is a postage stamp and getting in and out of the tiny lot by car is a trial. Imagine what it must be like working in the kitchen! They get crazy busy at times,(victim of their success) run out of stuff, don’t get the orders quite right, and predictably stub customer toes unnecessarily. In this building’s last incarnation as a Campos, the management offered a more limited menu than the rest of the Campos chain. Gaby’s Jefferson should also pare down, IMO, and hopefully free up the staff from a near impossible task, rather than pushing fries over the Med side options; healthy is their draw. The good: the staff has always been positive and friendly and when I have had complaints, went out of their way to make it right. More often than not, the cooks knock it out of the park.(Delivery used to be quick and reliable, but was outsourced and went south, so I stopped ordering for delivery.) Tonight everything we ordered was succulent. If the price was significantly higher, I didn’t notice, and wouldn’t have cared. I think they regularly pull off miracles in that tiny place and I hope I will be pulling into that hellish parking lot long into the future.

I use to come here once a week for their body builder plate($ 9), but that has ended because they have changed their menu and drastically raised the prices. I can still get the same meal I have ordered many times but my choice for sides are only salad, rice or fries when before there was a large selection of some great Mediterranean dishes. You can order grilled vegetable or other healthy options but you are charged $ 1.75 per item. It makes no sense to go to this business when I can find similar fare at a cheaper price.

I have been coming to this location once a week minimum for the chicken plate with 2 sides. They’ve now limited the side options for this combo to fries, side house salad, or rice(Oh, and they raised the price). You can substitute in different sides such as black beans, hummus, yams, etc., however this will cost you $ 1.75 each. Essentially, the meal I would purchase(chicken plate w/black beans and hummus) was $ 9 and today it was $ 14. I use to recommend this restaurant to friends and coworkers as a healthy and fairly priced option but they’ve completely lost my business. Very disappointed.

We’ve been coming to Gaby’s for several years now and multiple times a month since the Jefferson street location opened. The quality of food has been on a regular decline the last several months. Could not order tonight in Eat24 and learned it was because they have changed their menu and raised prices significantly. Not only is the meal nearly $ 2 more, they limit you to choosing sides from only fries, rice, and salad. If these changes remain, we will no longer be eating here. I did not mind paying the prices per meal, but what we loved about this place was the option of various sides so the entire family could have variety. But fries and rice as only real option for sides. Very disappointed.

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. I just came from the restaurant where I placed an order to-go. My food was burnt to a complete crisp; totally charred. I banged it against my countertop and it would not break! I called the restaurant to let them know this and spoke with a «manager» who was SO rude and unprofessional to me. After being a complete &@/!, he said the best that he could do is give me a credit for my item. A credit? As in try this again? I think not. More like a refund. No apologies, no explanation for why his cooks would even think that this item is to-go worthy in a completely burnt state. I don’t want a credit, and I don’t want their food ever again! He doesn’t recognize the influence I have, and the number of people that I’ll make aware of this horrible customer service and excuse for«food.» I recently moved into the large corporate development across the street where hundreds of other employees have also relocated. I will make sure that as many people as possible are aware of this lackluster experience. Wow. On top of all of this, I went to put ketchup in a to-go container and because of the top wasn’t on securely, it poured all over the counter! When I spoke to the manager about my food, he had the nerve to ask me if I was the one who spilled ketchup everywhere. Wow… Are you kidding me? Totally felt like I was being punked. It is your staffs’ fault that the top wasn’t on properly, and you have the audacity to ask if «I’m the one who spilled the ketchup?» Unreal. No apologies for that either. Unbelievably unprofessional and disgusting food quality. I will never ever go to this place again, and I forewarn you… if you’re even looking for mediocre customer service and a half decent meal, you won’t get it here! I won’t even make a deal out of the fact that I placed this order by phone and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later the rest of this crap unfolded. Clearly this is not the place for me. I understand that things happen, I’m not looking for perfection; however the situation was totally mishandled and it just got worse by the minute. You’ve been warned.

This is my FAV of the Gabys chains. I do wish delivery wasn’t 5 $ with a min 15 $ order. …the 5 $ charge is a bit much. But you can’t beat the food. Love them.

Welp here it is… If the building reminds you of a Mexican fast food joint its cause yes, this use to be Campos Taco at one time. Now enter the age of Gaby’s Express. Home of rapidly prepared Mediterranean food. I was craving the chicken kabob combo: chicken chunks, rice, salad, hummus, pita bread and this white garlic spread. The drink is extra. The food was average at best. I felt that it could have been better seasoned and with a little more moisture in the chicken. It was edible… Ive had better. Maybe it was an off day? For the price tho(less than $ 10) I cant complain too much. The service was friendly and the place was clean. I’ll come back, but only if its on the way home. Misc: If you’re across the street from Gaby’s driving in it can be tricky. Drive carefully cause there are some crazies out there that wont slow down to let you in. Parking is kinda tight too. Overall: If you ABSOLUTELYNEED to satisfy your craving for rapidly prepared Mediterranean food… and happen to be near S. Centinela & Jefferson, sure come on in and try Gaby’s Express. You may end up having a 4 – 5 star experience. I hope I do on the next run. Stay tuned. Ay los watcho.

I came here because I was craving some kabob. The rice was okay, the beef kabob was good, the hummus was tasty, the pita bread tasted kind of old. It just tasted like your basic mediterranean food. I paid about $ 10 for this, which was okay because I was hungry, but I would rather go somewhere else. If I was hungry and in the area and craving this type of food, then sure, I would probably come here again. But I would much rather go to a different restaurant if I had the chance. I called in for pick up and the service was good, which is positive for this restaurant. The food could use some work though.

Came here with a friend who lives in the area and gets food from here all the time. She usually gets stuff to go and I can see why. It’s got a decent amount of seating for a small place, but you don’t hang out for the ambiance. Plus, the ceiling fans were on full blast, and it got a little chilly for us. Luckily, the food was good. I had their ½ chicken combo with hummus and rice and got a side of falafel – the chicken was tender and juicy, the hummus smooth and creamy, and the falafel crispy, can’t ask for much more. STEPHJUDGEMENT: Good, reasonably-priced Mediterranean food in a lackluster setting.

I came here at lunch time and this place was extremely busy. I got a small wrap and a salad. The small lunch portion was a bit too small but the salad was fairly nice sized.
