I don’t frequent Starbucks, but my fiancé does. We have hit all of the Starbucks in Woodstock, Crystal Lake, Huntley, and Lake in the Hills. This by far is my favorite. They have a clover machine (think a coffee maker on steroids) that most Starbucks don’t have. Make the best Sumatra coffee there is (warning: do not drink if you can’t take the caffeine). The staff is wonderful: friendly and fast. Shout out to Jon who makes the experience awesome every time. Besides my fiancé and I going, we have convinced the in-​laws to only go to that Starbucks as well.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of thriving Crystal Lake. The staff makes the burden of sitting and reading physics for hours much more bearable, and the Peach Tranquility is heaven-​sent. The decaf is pretty killer as well. Definitely recommend this location.
P. S. I also hear tossing a shot of espresso in a peanut-​butter/​banana smoothie is a top notch beverage as well.

Pretentious baristas. I just watched a female barista give this couple (man & woman) the continuous stink eye for a prolonged duration that it was blatantly obvious. She then continued to offer me a fake smile as she handed me my Clover-​brewed coffee. Customers are not as bright either. I was at the creamer area and the woman kept dumping her coffee to add more half & half. Dissatisfied with her results, I watched her do this twice. I am guessing she’s a regular that doesn’t know how to say, «with room.» All issues aside, it was just another Starbucks.

First off: there is a Clover machine here so the reserve blends are available. Very pleasant and engaging staff in a tad small facility. This store tends to get very busy and overcrowded when school lets out. Very good amount of outdoor seating available and close to downtown shopping, restaurants and the Metra Northwest Line.

This Starbucks is my favorite to visit while in Crystal Lake. They are efficient and always demonstrate excellent customer service. They also will make a drink over without being angry or feeling rushed. They truly want you to enjoy your drink. I have gone it early in the morning, afternoon, late afternoon, and evening. It is a place I look forward to when visiting Crystal lake even though I can go to any Starbucks any time.

We like this Starbucks over the one on the main drag because it has clover coffee and a book shelf with books to share. It seems very comfortable. Staff are very friendly.

What can I say about Starbucks that any other coffee drinker doesn’t already know? I’m not a huge fan of their coffee because it tastes fairly burned and flat, not to mention that they serve up desserts in a cardboard cup that masquerade as «coffee» drinks. I do appreciate their cold tea/​juice drinks as well as their hot coffee and their caramel apple cider, which is what really keeps me coming back for more.
What’s great about Starbucks, and this location in particular, is the friendly customer service. Now I know it’s part of their company culture, but the baristas genuinely seem to be having fun and to enjoy working. When I’m bleary eyed from a late night of shushing and soothing a screaming infant, it’s great to know that there’s a smiling face serving me some coffee. It’s infectious and almost as potent as the caffeine itself.

It use to be called a Vivano, now they just call I a Smoothy, but try the chocolate & banana with a shot of espresso. Awesome…

The coffee is, of course, amazing. I usually get a plain latte and I love it every time. The only thing that I do not like about this location is that it gets quite busy (I get that, it’s a local meeting place) and that seating is quite sparse. On Saturday, I touched one of the tables before I went to put my cup down and it was extremely uneven and wobbled. Sad faces were exchanged.
The staff was friendly and great.
I just think that with 3 locations in Crystal Lake that this would not be as crowded as it was when it was the ONLY location in Crystal Lake. Just a thought
