Really like this Chinese restaurant. Love the Dragon and Phoenix dish. Good food, good prices, good quality.

Today was the last time and I kept saying that before, but I am serious — NO more. I am not sure how this business stays in business, really. When it comes to meat dishes, you’re not going to get much here. Every time I’ve ordered a meat dish, I get at least ¼ or less of meat in my bowl and the rest is fillers, like onions or broccoli. How you think I’m not suppose to notice that you are skimping on the meat. It is very apparent that you are cutting cost with such fillers. Taste is not there at all too, it is tasteless. Absolutely no seasoning at all. I actually covered my broccoli and beef today with hot sauce just to give it flavor, and I don’t like to do that. I also ordered Singapore noodles and there was no curry flavor, I got baby shrimp, 2 small pieces of chicken and that’s it! I am really disappointed that the owners of this establishment assume that consumers are unaware that cost is paramount to tasty food. I will never order from this place again. Very disappointed.

I hate to say this, but we have given up on this place. I can’t begin to tell you how many times we have heard it is «under new management» in the past years. At one time it was a solid typical Chinese place, cheap and decent quality. When it turned into Lin’s both prices and quality went up, but the quality quickly fell. unfortunately it fell past decent quality to almost inedible (or at least toss the leftovers)

If I could leave a zero star, I would. I don’t like to disparage local businesses either but this place is absolutely dreadful. I’ve ordered takeout twice (thinking one time isn’t fair judgement material) as I would never think of eating in this establishment. Talk about bland food. Wow. I would’ve welcomed some seasoning. Egg rolls were just soggy and tasteless. My wife’s egg foo young was a tasteless burnt mess. I ordered the general tso chicken and asked for extra spicy. Not so and small rubbery pieces of suspect chicken with way too much chewy breading. I felt bad because there was one younger guy cooking and he seemed overwhelmed in the kitchen alone.

Placed order online and waited 40 minutes for food. No delivery arrived. I called the store and man apologized that they forgot to make the order.

Hey this place is pretty decent I’ve ordered from their delivery and pick up a couple times better than most of the ones in the area that sucks at least the food taste good could have a little bit larger portions but overall this place has good stuff I would recommend them for a lunchbox pretty yummy stuff

Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about this carry out joint!
First try was not very good but we thought maybe just a bad day, everybody has them.
Second time, in a nut shell, IT SUCKED!
I’m sorry Lin if you want to stay in business you better clean up your act !
I’ve never had burnt Chinese food before, but after tonight i can’t say that anymore, egg foo young was almost black, dripping in grease and as thin as cardboard!
Don’t bother looking for the chicken in the sweet and sour chicken, its just greasy breading!
I could go on and on about the money that was wasted tonight but that’s just not my style,
I took a chance for on a second visit… my fault… NEVER AGAIN LIN!!!

My first time ordering from here. I placed my order online at 6:00 and got an email saying it will arrive around 7. 7:30 rolls around and I hear nothing. I tried calling them for 15 mins none stop and kept getting a busy
I drove up there and the kid that works the phones or places orders looked completely stoned out of his mind. He said that he didn’t hang the phone up properly and didn’t notice that I placed an hour at 6. At this time it was 10 till 8:00 p.m. then continued to ask me if I still wanted to place my order. Absolutely not! I will never order from them again. Not recommended at all. I’ll stick to Chen in Crystal lake.

I ordered from here for the first time, what a nice surprise really good food. Prices are excellent I’m very pleased with this restaurant i highly recommend this place

Got a mailer and tried this place Friday night, the food on the mailer looked good but went there to pic up and its another filthy disgusting chinese food place with dirty couches when you walk in and everything is a mess. Now for the food got beef peapods with 4 pieces of beef and enough peapods to choke a horse. The taste was blah nothing good there, next I got a large order of shrimp fired rice and the rice was mushy and overcooked and the shrimped smelled like it was old and not fresh after trying some of it I threw it in the garbage. So in closing dirty place with lousy food!

I used to like Lin’s Kitchen as they were very accommodating with food allergies. The old management was able to make changes like not using flour on some items and using gluten free soy sauce. New management doesn’t seem to know what gluten is. Very disappointing.

A few months ago they were a little slow and disorganized, but the food was awesome so I kept coming back. Now they hired a few more people and are super fast and organized and the food is still awesome! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

NO STARS! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! Got a mailer with menu saying «new management». Ordered online for delivery at 619 pm. By 730 figured I better call. They speak VERY LITTLE English and hung up on us twice. Went to actual store and EVERYONE in line was having problems. STAY AWAY!!!

I’m Chinese and from Los Angeles, so I can tell you what real Chinese food is. If you want true Chinese food and not the «American» style stuff like Breakers than this cook will delivery but if you want Breakers or Panda Express stuff don’t complain because the cook and owner are actually Chinese. I’m sorry but it’s upsetting when customers who aren’t Chinese or know Chinese complain about Chinese food. If you want Mexican food, don’t expect to get the real stuff from Taco Bell! Delivery is a little slow and that’s why I didn’t give them 5 stars.

Lin’s Kitchen replaced the former China House. Much improved with new owners that care. The quality of the food is MUCH higher than before. It is right on par with «everyone’s favorite» Chen’s — the only difference is the locale.
The interior is certainly nothing to look at — you will only want to Carry-​Out.
The prices are outstanding (especially for lunch)! I ROUTINELY go for $ 4 (tax included) General Tso’s lunch special. Even if you never go for dinner make it a point to try this for LUNCH — you cannot beat this deal.
The service does not speak great English — but they make a great, homemade Chinese dish for much better prices than Chen’s.
If you haven’t — give this place a try!
Loss of a star for the interior and appearance of the place. The food and price are FIVE STARS!

this place doesn’t deserve to be in business. tried to order take out on a Saturday evening and the doors were closed. tried ordering take out on x-​mas eve, but not open since it was Monday. Are they serious about running a business??? the China palace was much better, and was fast and reasonably priced as well.

Higher in price but it was good. The beef chow fun was good and not overly greasy and the Szechwan Fish was very tasty. I would order both dishes again. I wish they gave more rice the only gave a very small container.

Quality Chinese cuisine… much better than the establishment previously in this location and better than Chen’s. Cost is comparable but slightly higher. We ordered Sesame Chicken and Mandarin beef; both were excellent. They now offer coupons on the new menu prints as well.

There is a completely different owner than the old China House that used to be there… and they are two completely different types of restaurants. China House was dirt cheap, quick, and simply passable as far as Chinese food goes, but it was generally not too bad.
Lin’s Kitchen has MUCH better food, but, I do agree with others that it is quite a bit more expensive than China House. However, the lunch specials are still a good deal. But honestly, the prices are exactly the same as King Wok and China Palace and the food is on par (if not better) than the other restaurants. You can’t bash this place for prices when compared to China House because China House was cheap in price and quality.
If you didn’t like China House because of the food, give this place a chance.

Authentic & quality choice in the area! Go to place for Chinese carry-​out, hang out after school or after work for fresh & cheap eat. Definitely recommended!
