Love Iguana Joes. Great food. Great margaritas. Waiters/waitresses have always been kind and quick. I especially love this one lady who works during the lunch hours. She has an interesting voice and I love when she asks, «would you like another Dr Pepperrrrrrrrrr?!» Im glad they painted their walls, now if only they would get their old ice cream machine back! I love chocolate/vanilla swirl! Not just plain vanilla! :)

Iguana Joes is the best restaurant in the Crosby area! Food is always good and drinks are always on point. They have nice patio seating as well as plenty of space indoor and service has always been excellent!

The food here is alway good and the drinks very fresh and well made. It has smoking so I drive out from the Conroe area to Crosby just to enjoy my dinner fully! Chips and salsa are great and the green dip is creamy and full of calories. Just the way I like it. Crowds seem less uptight as does the wait staff. Prices are great you can get out less than 10 per person in a pinch or go up to around 25 per if you splurge. I did get some bad taquitos once in mont belview but they made it right and that’s all I ask. I’ve been coming for years mostly for lunch and convinced the hubby to come due to the indoor gun range just down the street. We are going to shoot off our yummy lunch after!

One tablespoon of guacamole with the summer plate. Ask the waitress and she said that is all you get

I love this one. Margaritas are great, as is the food. I like to chill on the covered patio. Anything with the white wine sauce is amazing!

We enjoy Iguana Joe’s. The food is good. Drinks are good. Love the salsa there. Green dip is awesome too. I think the complementary ice cream is an awesome thing! We live in Crosby, however, we do prefer to drive to the W Lake Houston location. It just seems nicer to us. The smoking area can be overpowering into the rest of the restaurant. The ceiling in the bar area looks disgusting. Looks like big clumps of grease and dirt, though I think it was sprayed to look that way. Over all, when it is later, we run to this location. We’ve never had a bad meal at any Iguana Joe’s.

Since we heard Iguana Joe’s changed management about two years ago, we tried it again and liked it. It is the best place to get Mexican food in Crosby. It’s good, cheap, and close if you live here.

We stopped in to grab a bite being going to Battleground Speedway to watch the races. Great green sauce and the service was great. Th chips were nice and warm. I had the combo nachos and there was more chicken than beef. The nachos were ok. Not enough sour cream or guacomole and I didn’t bother asking for more. The rice was good and they had bollo beans on the side which were very good. Large portions. My husband said his enchiladas were good. I could have made a meal out of chips and green sauce. Definitely not a bad stop and would like to try more items on the menu.

So… we went to Iguana Joes on a Sunday afternoon while lake lot/house hunting around 3 in the afternoon because we were starving, there were a lot of cars in the parking lot, and it was close to a house were going to see. At the time I wasn’t as familiar with Crosby as I am now AND I didn’t know this was a chain restaurant. If you’ve read about me, I tend to avoid chains unless they are exceptional local chains. I won’t let that bias creep into my review. I will write about the experience only. There were some things I really liked about my experience. They have Coke 0 and that always makes me happy! Our server was exceptional. We never had to ask for refills and she kept a lot of ice in my glass. I found it odd that we were at what I perceived to be a mexican or Tex-Mex place and the house specialties were ribs. The menu was confusing to me. I felt like the restaurant couldn’t decide if they were a barbecue place or mexican food. Very few places can do justice to two completely different cuisines. I was a bit skeptical from the git-go. I also thought the prices were a tad high in comparison to another Tex-Mex chain based in Austin(Chuy’s) that I’ve been introduced to and really enjoyed. While waiting on our meal, they brought out the complimentary chips and salsa. I loooooved the tortilla chips. They were very thin. The salsa and green sauce were good. However, I was so confused by the menu, that my mom and I just decided to split the jumbo variety appetizer. I really liked everything I ate and it was plenty for two people. Mom, who typically orders a chicken quesadilla at every mexican restaurant liked everything except the chicken quesadilla. Dad ordered the taco salad and said it was bland. He kept adding salsa to try and spice it up. My husband got the combo fajitas and thought they were okay, not bad, just okay. Overall, I just didn’t get the feeling that this was a place we would return. Not because we had a bad experience or horrible food but because there are alternatives for this genre in our area that are better. There are barbecue and mexican restaurants in this area where the quality and value are better.

Food is pretty good, I like their fajita spud. Very filling! Décor inside is a little cheesy though. Definitely needs to be updated!

the one thing that is different about IJ’s is the ice cream… it’s not the watery free stuff you get everywhere else, it’s super creamy and delicious, like REAL ice cream — and i don’t usually like ice cream! I make an exception for theirs!

I have been several times and each time I have not been impressed and perhaps disappointed. The food is just not that good. It’s over Americanized Tex-Mex. It’s as if Taco bell opened a restaurant. I’ve tried the fajitas, stuffed avocado, and even their enchiladas. The wait staff annoys me most of the time, and I can’t put a finger on why, but they do. Iguana Joe’s is just not where you should go when you are in Crosby… period.

I live just down the road from this place and forget it’s even there. That must say a lot. The only thing that draws me to this place are their lizard wings & their infamous Cadillac Rita’s! The service is uh okay. I guess Tex-Mex just really isn’t my style, I like the real stuff! =)

Hands down, the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Its kinda easy to impress me. Being from NJ we dont have authentic Mexican food. I tried several different places around Texas and this was by far the best. The tacos are excellent, the fajitas are awesome, the green salsa is to die for, and the pina coladas are top notch. I really miss this place and hate that im so far away;.
