This is a brothel museum with some pretty impressive antiques from the late 1800s. If you are looking for a break from casinos and want to have some education definitely check this place out. For $ 5 you get a guided tour of ten rooms of an old brothel that was running in the late 1800s and early 1900s from women that might have been alive then(joking but they were the funniest and most outspoken older ladies I have bumped into in sometime). The whole tour will take maybe 20 minutes but you can walk around and look at things to your content. Each room has impressive antiques and history and the ladies giving the tours while being hilarious also give you some great insights to how important and popular prostitution was I. The mining town. Go for a random bit of history and a laugh and leave with a smile that the original working ladies would be proud of.

It is strange that in many Western towns that I’ve visited, there is always a bldg which remains in dedication to the industry of pleasure. Here is a brothel which was built by Madame Pearl DeVere in 1896. The house was considered luxurious for its time, it had the amenities such as electricity and running water. Today the Wild Horse Casino owns the property. Although the exterior of the bldg looks nondescript, the interior was lavishly decorated. The docents who give the tours are themselves characters, which adds to the charm of the house.
