Golden Garden Chinese Restaurant

Went in for lunch at 11:15 am and tried to order a lunch special shrimp with broccoli and no rice please. Just vegetables. He said, «no. Can’t do that» I said can you just leave out the rice? He said no. I said does it cost extra and he shakes his head. No can’t do that. What do you want? I said shrimp with mixed vegatables. He said no. So I left. Foolish not taking care of a customer simple request with willing to pay extra for just vegetables. For a Chinese restaurant not to accommodate a simple request of leaving out the rice is absurd. Every other Chinese place I’ve been to accommodates this. Not to mention his attitude was rude. Sounds like he doesn’t like white people to me. Yup just went there.

This place is disgusting, the sauce was thick and globby and made me sick. They def. do not care about cleanliness or the quality of the product they produce. The food literally made me sick to my stomach.

Best Chinese in the area. Got the general to tofu and it was better than most in the area

The Honey Walnut Shrimp was pretty good. I appreciate how they split the sauce from the rest of the dish.
However, the vegetable lo mein had very few vegetables. It was not as good as other Chinese spots.

My family and I have been ordering takeout/​delivery from Golden Garden for years. They have THE best boneless spare ribs in the area. Their taste is on point with what ever secret sauce they use, and they are not fatty/​chewy like some other Chinese food restaurants. Fried dumplings are also spot on, being fried just the right amount so they aren’t soggy. Roast pork lo mein is delicious with the proportion of bean sprouts to noodles graciously being heavier on the noodles. I could go on and on about each item on the menu, but I think I’ve touched upon the important ones.
I took away a star because a few months ago, their food changed… drastically. I don’t know if it was due to new management, but how the food was prepared and the taste of it was way off, and not in a good way. I ordered from here again recently because I was hungry and desperate, and to my pleasant surprise, the original food/​flavor I’ve grown to know and love was back! What good fortune!

They use vegetable oil instead of peanut oil. You may like the health benefits of this, but I think it leaves the food bland.
I had a combo with egg foo young, fried rice and eggroll.

Fuking disgusting. Found metal strips from a fucking plate scrubber. Unless you want to be sick don’t ever go here.
