This restaurant has been closed for years but they still open the bakery from time to time for special occasions such as 4th of July and the best thing there is their famous cherry icebox cookies aka pink cookies. Love those things! Pink cookies have been a tradition in my family for years so I was happy to find Glenn’s supplied them to the parade watchers this year at the 4th of July parade and they were every bit as delicious as I remembered. I heard they also sell them at the local farmers market on Saturdays too. If you’re in town on a day the bakery happens to be open stop in and you wont be disappointed.

This review is only for their bakery. Their cherry ice box cookies in particular. Go. Fall in Love. Every time you come to Crescent City, you will return for the Cheery Ice Box. TRUST!!!

This is Glenn’s Bakery Right? Well if so… awesome! Its been around quite a while. Through the Tsunami and even longer ago. They pay homage to the town through pictures and at your table reads. Their menu is american diner style sandwiches, burgers, soups, and more. Friendly service but sometimes a wait-worth it-as this is the best not Denny’s option around. They have an awesome bakery… Hermets…brownie like cookies as long as there is the traditional nuts and rasins included. Maple bars… sugar cookies yummy yum! Glens has all the charm of an old gem… lets hope it stays around even longer

All I wanted were some bacon and eggs. Not too much to ask. On the plus side, this place had booths which I like, but the people eating there were definitely«country.» I wanted to ask them where is the kid with the banjo? I was also expecting Andy of Mayberry to walk any minute with one of Aunt Bea’s pies. The eggs were overcooked, how can you mess up scrambled? The bacon okay and the toast was wheat when I asked for rye. It’s not that this is an awfull place, just I expected so much more based on past experience with diners in small towns. Oh well, maybe I caught them on a bad day.
