Great little locally-owned alternative to Moe’s /Chipotle. I’ve been here a few times, and I went to Mad Cactus many times(the original restaurant opened by the same people). The setup is a little different, you can choose your meal/toppings using a card, but the system has worked well every time I’ve been. The food is always fresh, there are plenty of options(quesadilla, salad, burrito, tacos, etc) and you can customize each one to your heart’s desire.

Burrito Loco catered a lunch for my company and it was great! They set up a ‘build-your-own’ fajita bar with Mexican rice, black beans, steak, chicken, quest, lettuce, pick, sour cream, salsa, and chips. I had two chicken fajitas with chips and salsa. The chicken had wonderful flavor and the salsa was simple and perfect! Everybody around me seemed to really enjoy the food as well. Can’t wait until they cater another lunch for us!

While I haven’t eaten in the restaurant, I did enjoy their catering at work the other day where they provided a taco bar for 250 people. Coming from a large family, I would argue that cooking for a crowd is way harder than getting one burrito right for one person, and they did great. The veggies were crisp and fresh, and the beef tacos were tender. An added bonus, there was enough cheese sauce for seconds(because we all know that not having to skimp on the cheese sauce is key). Thumbs up, and if I am every out in Covington, I will definitely stop by!

I love this place! I eat lunch here at least once a week. Their food is so fresh and made to order. I don’t like a lot of «stuff» on my burritos like rice and beans, so they pile the chicken on! Go for the drink and cheese dip combo!

Best Burritos in town! Love this place! My favorite is the Burrito Al Carbon! Very good and always more than enough to eat! And customer service is top notch. I always feel welcomed and taken care of. Super sad we moved, but will definitely stop in and eat when we come back to town!

Not Afraid to be Vegan Friendly I chose to eat here while in town for a meeting because it seemed to be the only restaurant in town with actual overt vegan options. Then, the cashier’s friendly greeting when we walked in the door set the tone for the whole experience. While tempted by the FIVE tofu options, I love veggie burritos so that is what I ordered($ 6.49). The food quality is good-the vegetables and beans cooked to perfection. Nice range of options on the menu but not overwhelming. I got mine to go. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant looked clean with lots of seating. A little salsa bar was fun to get some medium and hot salsa for the wonderful chips. This will be where I stop for my meal if I am ever back in this pleasant looking town.

So I stopped by on my way to visit some friends in Augusta. Personally, being from California, I am very skeptical of any so-called«burrito» places that are not from the west coast. Call me an elitist, but I’m just saying it how it is. However, I was still kind of craving burritos(and I had just eaten Chipotle like six times in the last week) so I checked out Burrito Loco. Location is pretty decent — it’s only a few minutes off I-20. Area seems pretty safe and there’s ample parking. So they have two menu options — a «Build Your Own» option with burritos and quesadillas or a «pre-made» «From the Grill!» option with fajitas, nachos, and other stuff. I do like the different choices as it gives me the option to customize exactly however I want it. The girl at the register talked me into a Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and it came with a small side salad, some rice, and some chips. Honestly, the sides were OK and pretty standard. The best things about this place are: (1) taste — the quesadilla was cooked to perfection: I love how they make sure to grill it enough to get that browned, crispy outside that I love. They definitely were generous with the cheese and the chicken!; (2) the salsa bar — let me tell you that I’ve had some good salsa in my life and this place would definitely hold its own — get the Chipotle(brown salsa) if you like a little bit of heat or the Texas if you want things on the mild side. Honestly it still doesn’t compare to the west but I’m pretty sure this is the best salsa in the Southwest; and (3) portions/value: SUPER cheap. You can get filled up for under $ 8? That’s pretty crazy. To summarize, super cheap, decent tex-Mex food with a lot of options. Definitely a go-to place when I drive by this place again.

Whoever complained about my review, you can have an equally shitty welcoming gift. Eat where you choose. It’s not my fault if you suffer. And don’t think it is ok to feed me beef when i clearly ordered chicken street tacos! Im puking up a storm. This is the very last time I will ever order food from Burrito Loco. They have repeatedly screwed up my order. It’s a real shame, I’m always in support of local business. That bridge is burned. I can’t wait for yall to shut down since I can’t get all my money back.

I didn’t care for this place … The lady who owned it was not into making sure I had what I needed because she was too busy all in the men’s face. On top of that the burrito sucked !!! It wasn’t really a good experience for me

I came here today I got the chicken burrito special for $ 5 and a chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was great! The burrito was half the size of a burrito you would get from Chipotle. I left this place hungry because they took portion control to the extreme. Additionally the pricing for a chicken burrito bowl on Wednesdays is $ 0.89 more than the chicken burrito which doesn’t make any sense. The price difference between the two on any other day of the week is $ 0.10. I mentioned this to one of the workers and she had a bad attitude stating that’s just how they price things. In conclusion I would not come back here primarily due to the portion size of their burritos and the lack of customer service. Chipotle is waaaaaaay better in terms of taste and portion for price!

I’ve been meaning to come here for so long, and now that I have I cant stop! I love this place solely for the fact that they have tofu. Accessible Mexican food becomes really scarce when you go vegan. I like having this place nearby so I don’t have to go all the way intown to get a burrito bowl from Chipotle. It’s a California style Mexican restaurant, and they have tons of options to choose from to build your perfect meal. You basically walk in and circle what you want on the preprinted order slips: base, toppings, and extras. There’s also a salsa bar. You give it to the cashier and your meal is made. The atmosphere is pretty quiet most times, and the service is great. It’s in a shopping plaza with a decent amount of spots to park. As far as I know it’s vegan friendly, although I’m not sure about the tortillas or the chips. So happy to have found this place.

We went here when we were on our way home to Nashville from Charleston, SC. We Unilocaled the area and their star rating was one of the highest so we went here. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my husband ordered a burrito with shrimp, steak and chicken. Our meal was delicious, the staff were awesome and the restaurant was clean. I will definitely come back here if we are ever in the area!!! Very family/kids friendly and casual.

The lunch specials are the best around! Delicious food and great prices! The staff is energetic and you get your food faster at Burrito Loco than you do at most fast food restaurants. Cheese dip is on point! Yum!!!

Fish Tacos were a generous portion of awesome. The black beans were missing pizazz but I added a little of their hot salsa and it fixed them up quite nicely. Def will visit again when I’m in the area.

Thank you for feeding me delicious sustenance burrito loco! After being on the road for 10 hours and really needing some dinner, but being picky and not wanting fast food, you were there for me with your tasty burritos full of delicious grilled vegetables, and other glorious treasures. I’ll never forget our time together… I miss you already.

as i write this, i realize just how sorry i feel for the people of covington. this place hits a solid 2.5. i couldn’t quite give it the«meh» rating since in covington, there probably isn’t much better — especially provided the average rating was 4 stars. what?! that is loco. the food is truly average. with an order of nachos and quesadillas, it was determined the quesadillas are pretty much flat and tasteless. there’s just not the right accompaniment of spices. i ordered the nachos with ground beef which might have been a mistake since it was nearly identical in flavor to a nachos bell grande from taco bell — not that i have anything against taco bell… but this is not fast food. makes me wish they could experience barberitos nachos. the ordering system is all jacked up too. when you walk in, there’s this tiny little table with some ordering pads. basically, it’s like tex-mex whichwich. however, standing there in indecision, lost in the sea of choices that is the menu, feeling all loco — you are actually gumming up their ordering line! move out of the way, n00b!

This place is almost guaranteed to fill you up. Giant burritos, quesadillas, and chips and salsa for appetizers! Don’t expect much, but this place is pretty good for a boys night out or hungry college kids. Plenty of choices and each day has a special discount for something off the menu. Otherwise, may be a liiiittle pricey for the typical Mexican food, but this is like a Chipotle away from home. Get the cheese dip for the tortilla chips… they make everything taste sooooo much better.
