Best ham and cheese croissant ever! Trust me you have to try it! Especially the Jalapeños ham and cheese. It’s always good stop here while I’m near West covina. I usually order more than two ham and cheese croissant and keep it for the next day, pop them in the oven and they are good to go! One bite and the cheese melts in your mouth DROOLS. Their donuts are also very fresh because they make new batches every morning. Never day old donuts like some other places. Also try their glaze donut so soft and moist! and the owners are super duper sweet. I love a place when they care about their customer a lot, plus if you go there a lot they’ll start recognizing you! Hahaha. A +++++ for customer service.

Saturday morning: Get here early. Got a huge box of fresh out of the oven croissants. They were out of jalapeño-ham-cheese so I ordered ham-cheese, so good and fresh. Got a few tiny pieces of crunchy croissant yumminess as a consolation, thank u!!! Owners so sweet, real deal mom n pop, a bazillion times better than Corner Bakery or Panera(Pa-neva). Can eat entire box myself! They also have all types of fritters, donuts, cruellers, u name it, all fresh fresh fresh. Place is so cute, lotsa regulars just hang out at the few tables inside, sipping their cuppa joes.

Munchkins is AMAZING. This little shop hidden behind the Sizzler is one you’ll be going back to for the taste of these incredible pastries and the warm, friendly service. The ham and cheese croissants and strawberry and cream pastry are a must have. The couple are the sweetest and friendliest people. My dad and I had cravings for their ham and cheese croissants. So we drove towards there, got there around 7. We went in thinking it was still open but they were more than happy to help us even though it was a little past closing time. The lady told us they didn’t have ham and cheese croissants because they do take time, which is completely understandable. However, we did buy other donuts. But on top of the donuts we bought, she gave us more! She didn’t have to do this but it was just a sweet gesture and it was much appreciated. You don’t get this service at Dunkin, Yum Yum, or Krispy Kreme! That’s for sure.

Great fresh donuts here! They are very nice and provide great service. I always order a croissant and they are always fresh and crispy. The only negative is that you should pay with cash because their is a fee to pay with your card. Besides that this place is great!

Ham and Cheese with Jalapeño Croissant? YES! It’s the best thing ever here. AND, its always nice and warm when you get it because they are constantly making them to keep up with demand. They get the stars that they do because they are super nice too. I’ve seen some rude people come in and talk to them so disrespectfully but they still keep a smile on their face and keep pressing on and don’t let people get to them. I don’t think there’s ever been a time where they were annoyed or upset with a customer. They are just the most polite people. The donuts are fresh! Again, always constantly being made to keep up with demand. Decent selection(your normal donut fare). The bonus is that they always give you a donut or two extra when you buy a few. Or, they throw in some mini croissants or donut holes. I’ve brought all of their things to work several times. My manager absolutely cannot resist the mini cinnamon sugar croissants and people actually fight over who gets the last jalapeño cheese croissant. They’re a hit!

Croissants good! Coffee good! Service good! Best ham and cheese croissants! Flaky, tender croissant dough but not overly flaky where my lap is covered in crumbs. The cheese. Sigh. The cheese is so oozy and yummy complementing the ham and jalapeños so well. The jalapeños make it. I haven’t ever craved a ham & cheese croissant — I’ve tried it at various places and it tastes just fine but not a big deal IMO. Believe me, my family owned a quality donut shop for a decade and man… I wish we had THIS ham & cheese croissant. I’m happy I finally got to see what the hype was about! It’s not hype — it is indeed delicious! I also had a plain croissant, which to my surprise had the gentlest sprinkle of cinnamon in the dough that makes it different and yummy too! Now it’s your turn, go!

This seems to be the place the locals come to. The croissants were flakey and not greasy. The donuts was moist. The prices seems reasonable, considering the high quality of foods. The owner is sweet, even gave us a goodie she was baking to try. I will definitely return when I’m in town.

This review is just for the donuts, and I can tell from the other reviews that the croissants are the specialty here. Munchkins is located north of downtown Covina, closer to the 210 fwy. The owners are VERY friendly, I appreciated their customer service. They gave my son some donut holes to eat while we picked out our donuts. Munchkins carry basic donut selections, however I LOVED their price point, I got 6 donuts for 5 dollars. They gave us some samples of their croissants, and I could see why they are known for them! They make them fresh onsite, and they can make breakfast sandwiches with them as well. Looking forward to stopping by for breakfast soon!

Amazing donuts, even better service! What more do you need to know? They are super nice and always pack in free little samples! Their donuts are sooooooo delicious also. One tip, get there early because the donuts will be gone! They sell off the shelves! We got here at 9:30 on a Saturday and only had a few to choose from. I guess that goes to show how good they are :)

Amazing service! Big, genuine smiles and such a good deal on a dozen donuts. I bought a dozen for my family and they loved the glazed and chocolate donuts. My favorite was the strawberry filled. Very satisfied and will go back again.

My wife found this place highly-rated on Unilocal so we decided to check it out. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The Ham&Cheese croissant was excellent, and the donuts were delicious! The owner even threw in some other free items for my wife and I, and our 3-year-old! There were a number of options available for sweetening coffee too, if that is what you like to do. We will be visiting this place often!

Stopped by here with my fiancé for their famous jalapeño ham and cheese. We had to wait a few minutes for a fresh batch but they were definitely worth the wait. The lady that helped us was really nice and even threw in some freebies. We’ll be back to try other baked goods.

I love this place!!! Found it through Unilocal and due to the rave reviews I wanted to check it out myself. The lady was nice and the place was clean which is always a plus. I ordered the Jalapeño ham and cheese croissant and the reg one. They both were dynamite! Fresh, fluffy and the cheese was oozing out. Then we also ordered an apple fritter, cinnamon roll, buttermilk bar and a sprinkled cake donut. They were all very good and she even gave us extra donuts We are definitely coming back again!
