Albertos Authentic Mexican Food

If i could give this place a 0 i would! It had been years since i ate here but we figured we would try it last night since we were hungry and had a long day. I remember it being ok back then. Well i ordered a wet chicken burrito with everything my boyfriend had an asada wet with everything and we ordered a side of beans and a chicken taco for my son. My burrito only had chicken in it! Nothing else! I was so mad! and it tasted so odd! My boyfriends burrito had thick pieces of onion. And my sons side of beans was in like a salsa cup! It was ridiculous! Horrible food and they totally messed up my order! Don’t let the long lines fool you. I’ll never go back

Used to be a fanatic until I found out that they fry absolutely everything with lard, and this is something that a manager said about a location in La Puente I asked at 2 other different locations and it’s very much true unfortunately there isn’t a choice on what you eat here.

Y’all are tripped out. Alberto’s is bomb. Thats that. This location has the best super fries because they use the thick fries.

I love Alberto’s. But whoever made my fucking burritos today 01÷16÷16 at 9AM! Fuck you! Burritos were super cold! It’s only been 5 minutes since I took my first bite! And the fucking burrito tasted like it’s been sitting out for a couple hours! Wtf??? Never going back to this place again! Taking my money to Baldwin park location from now on! And the person who took my order today looked like he hated his life. Never smiled! Ugh! Just so fucking irritated!

Always a great late night spot! Carne Asada fries and Taquitos is my go to and you have to wash it all down with the Horchata!

Good size burrito for the price, but I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito, there where chucks of bacon that was uncooked. Very basic: eggs, cheese, bacon, some sour cream. I hope I don’t get sick. Will not go there again.

So I went over to this place, wanting some decent Mexican food, then ordered some fish tacos, well, they weren’t what I expected. It wasn’t a fried piece of fish fillet, but a fish stick, A FISH STICK, so. yeah.

I have been coming here for 10 years. The last 2 visits the food was terrible. The taquito’s were burnt and burritos were half there normal size. I’m done with this place!

Horrible drive thru service! The girl taking orders was very rude! Intercom system was very old and she gave me attitude when I told her I couldn’t hear her when I was giving my order. This place use to be good bacon the day food amount they give and quality had gone down a lot! Wouldn’t recommend to go there around 10 in the morning on a Friday!
Went back because I live near them and was craving some nachos. Came around 1030pm and lady working drive thru still was rude and intercom still sucks! Pretty sure it was the same girl from last time. Someone really needs to teach her some customer service skills! Guess I just won’t come at night if I do end up back!

The meat last time wasn’t even hot. Long lines in the drive thru. I wish they had a place to sit and more employees to help move the line along. The people are nice. But they need to speed up the process.

I’ve been coming to this particular alberto’s every week since I was 13. Best mexican food ever with the best proportions. I honestly like this particular mexican restaurant more than most of them in LA. An order of super fries here lasts me 3 days for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything tastes so good. Not a fan of the horchata though. It’s watery and gross. Not the best I’ve ever had.

I must say after reading all of the bad reviews for this location I was a bit worried but nevertheless I tried it anyway because I love Albertos!
This was the first time my boyfriend had ever tried this restaurant and I could not wait for him to try the carne Asada super fries. They are so good made with fresh guacamole, beans, sour cream, cheese, and tiny drops of heaven.
I normally only get the super fries but this time I tried an enchilada and it was delicious and cheesy just like I like it. Overall the experience was great! I had excellent customer service and the food was as great as I expected it to be! The only thing I would critique is the waiting that we had to do for our food in the drive thru but what do you expect from somewhere that serves freshly cooked to order food!

If you’re craving for some great Mexican comfort food, this is a great place (a drive thru) to run to! It’s authentic enough for me!

Gotta say, we only stopped here because we were starving and couldn’t find Rays Tepeyac. We got the mixed burrito and a chicken burrito. We asked what’s included and lady told us bell peppers and beans. Well my chicken burrito had just that, only super oily chicken. My boyfriend had the mixed burrito that contained beef, very little beans and a whole lot of bean juice. So unappealing. Our burritos were overly soggy by the time we got them.
After ordering is when we started looking at reviews and started to regret not checking first. We started to hope we don’t get sick.
I didn’t finish my burrito and if my boyfriend wasn’t so hungry he said he wouldn’t have finished his either. Idk how this place had such a flow of customers. The food was just so under satisfactory.

The fact that there are some five star reviews for this place worries me and makes me question the credibility of this rating system lol because OMG this place is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever tasted.
Honestly, how can you mess up on a simple piña and Jamaica agua fresca???
The «taquitos» were clearly frozen because they were stone cold in the middle and you’re unable to select chicken or beef.
The chorizo and carnitas tacos tasted old and we basically couldn’t even finish our food. Pretty gross actually.
Mexican food is so easy to make fresh… No excuses, not even if you’re giving food out for free!

I’ve seen Alberto’s all over, but never tried it until a co-​worker brought me 2 tacos… they hit the spot!!!
I’ve seen this place and finally decided to stop by and get me some tacos. They have a drive-​thru which is great, but if there are a couple people ahead of you, you may be sticking out on the street.
Got me some tacos, beans, and rice… YUM!

they messed up our order but was nice enough to give us a new one (like any food place would/​should do) for free of course. I wouldn’t want to eat on their tables tho. it’s full of like flying ants or whatever that is.

This place is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! Do these people even have food service certifications??? I used to love coming here.
Sunday my boyfriend ordered carne asada fries and he saved me a small portion for when I came home from work. I work the evening shift and got home at 12am. I only picked at it. Maybe 3 fries before hitting the bed from a long day.
All that night my boyfriend was sick in the restroom all until the next night! I felt bad for him as he called out of work, but all that night I went to work again… I was lethargic and out of it. I got home the night after and was nauseous and dizzy! I felt like I was drunk and just needed to throw up!
Basically we have a, bacterial infection caused by MEAT BEING LEFT OUT AND THE TEMPERATURE NOT BEING CONTROLLED WHEN COOKED IN MASS QUANTITIES.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE!!! It doesn’t matter if this was 1 account out of the whole day… Bottom line, they used meat that was laying around and I am 100% sure that wasn’t the first time they’ve done that. Poor work ethic and lack concern for food quality at anytime deserves a low score and a serious warning to ALL potential customers. Of you are willing to chance a bacterial stomach infection, by all means. As for me, I’d rather pay more for one meal that won’t make me sick for days!

Ok this place officially sucks. They’ve got my order wrong for the third time and the order that they gave me also sucks. I think it’s safe to say that I’ve lost hope.

I dropped by here on my Way home for a quick burrito.
The guy was nice and the burrito came out super quick and hot. All in all its wasnt bad but the meat was tough and somewhat bland. I liked the sauces they provided — they were right up near the limit of my gringo-​spice-​pallet which means: legit.
Not bad just not great
