The Flame Broiler

Food is the normal but the service is awful. I have been coming here for a few years and it seems to be getting worse and worse on service. I don’t think I am going to come back this last time.

3 stars is for the employee at the front. I asked «can I get half tofu and half chicken» «NO». «No?» «No.» I offered to pay for the more expensive but they were the same price. Not sure where «customer service» exists in this franchise but if you are unable to do it, say «sorry, but the portions are already divided» or something, anything… not «No». Also, you had better be done with your food before that clapping time because he literally tells you to leave. I worked in the restaurant business for years in college, you NEVER ask a customer to leave… and yes, that meant sometimes you stayed late. Poor customer service. 5 stars for the food… which is yummy! Just train in «customer is always right» type customer service to get more stars.

RUDE! The lady at the front counter seemed like she DID NOT want to be there. After I ordered she practically snatched my card, swiped it and handed it to me and walked away without saying anyting. Then, she came back, grabbed my barely filled bowl and threw it on the counter; didn’t even place inside the bag. This was my first and last visit to this place!

Terrible Service. I gave the lady my order: regular bowl with white rice, half and half, no veggies, just onions. She looked at me and said, «huh?». Ok… So I repeated what I said. She said, «Veggies?» Umm… «No». «White rice or brown rice?» When I get my order it’s wrong. Seriously? It was an all beef (no half and half) WITH veggies. She kept showing me the receipt to show me that it said, «Beef with Veggies.» I said, «I know that’s what you entered but that’s not what I said.» I was so aggravated with her, I just took it. Ugh… I like Flame Broiler but I don’t think I’ll go back to this location.

I ordered the veggie bowl and it was pretty «dank». Also you guys should put the magic sauce in.

Plate almost empty. They say because a bigger plate but was not true. because my frd plate was totally different and chicken was a little bit greasy Place was clean

This is by far my favorite flame broiler in the area. The staff is always friendly and the food is always consistent. The management at this location truly cares and it reflects well. This is by fat the best location I’ve been to in Orange County

I really would give this place a 5 star however, last time I ate here there was a piece of plastic mixed into my meal. I was eating and thought it was extra chewy and after I spit it out I realized that it wasn’t a piece of fat and that it was literally plastic. I contacted upper management about this and they literally responded «How would you like us to fix this?» and then never replied back to me. Pretty unprofessional. The staff here is friendly however the plastic in their food isn’t.

This place is conveniently located down the street from my Church. I come here for lunch almost every Sunday. This is tasty Korean bbq. The «Magic Sauce «is the best! Since I frequent this place on a near weekly basis, the staff has come to recognize me as I walk in. They are always friendly and smiling.

Friendly employees. Great customer service. Well maintained place and very clean! Love the location as well.

Always a favorite. Cashier is always friendly and efficient. I’ve never had any complaints.

I really like Flame Broiler! They’re a great chain that offers tasty but healthy Asian food options on the go! Not everything is fried to oblivion and you have other options that are equally delicious yet affordable. I like to order the half ‘n half (chicken and beef) with rice. I recommend this place for lunch.

Second time visiting 9÷11÷14
This location just opened up this year–
1) visit rice was to sticky rolled in to chunks– fair– they just opened
2) they only put a small layer of chicken on my two mini bowels. Every other franchisee gives out more! I follow my macros and how am I suppose to get 41 grams of protein in one bowel with a sliver of a layer? 41 grams? No more like 23 grams. False advertising no one wants to eat mostly carbs aka rice. Tell your Asian workers to stop being stingy. All the other locations are more generous.

Tiny location near campus, empty today and got the usual side of chicken al a cart. Yummy. I’ll be back for pre class dinners.

Great place for a healthier fast food choice. Clean! Fast! And friendly! Great customer service. Husband likes the chicken I like the beef. And their magic sauce is delish! My husband likes the hot sauce. Yea we’re different but that’s why choices is always a plus.

We came around 3pm to try Ramen Yamadaya but they close 3−6pm (forgot).
Luckily, the doors of this Flame Broiler were opened next door and so fit the bill. I really enjoy its healthful concept while still being a fast food franchise.
CHEAP KOREAN BBQ? FAST FOOD? LESS TRANS-​FAT? MORE HEALTHY?
I was confused too but happy inside.

I got the work and an extra side of chicken.
I’ve been to many other Flame Broiler and none can compare to this place.
The brown rice, chicken and beef were so moist, moist, moist.
Their was an older Asian lady cooking in there, maybe that’s why. Whatever she is doing, keep doing it.

First time trying Flame Broiler and I’m glad I did! I came here with a friend because Ramen Yamadaya was closed. We both got the half & half (half chicken, half beef) for about $ 12. Food came out really quickly, and even though the regular bowl looked small, it was enough to fill me up.
I like how the put a bunch of healthy stuff in it so I don’t feel guilty about eating out. I usually like beef more than chicken, but the chicken here is definitely tastier. There was carrots, cabbage and broccoli in the bowl as well with green onions as a garnish. Nice presentation AND it tasted good! Oh, and brown rice here is pretty good, better than other restaurants I’ve been to.

I’ve been to multiple flame broilers & this location is definitely making it into my top list. I was on the way to work after class and needed a quick healthy lunch. You’ll notice there are a bunch of fast food restaurants as you drive down harbor. This Flame broiler recently just opened couple months ago, it’s in the same plaza as chick fil a & fresh and easy.
Pretty small inside, but very clean. Interesting thing I noticed is that over here, the guy was the cashier and the ladies were the cooks! I ordered my usual all white meat chicken & veggie bowl no magic sauce (I like to add my own w/​the hot sauce), w/​brown rice on the side (I like more veggies less rice haha). Anyway I really liked this location ’cause the chicken breast wasn’t overly charred unlike other locations I’ve been too! Fast friendly service, I give them the extra star for catering to my special requests and actually getting them right. I did notice however that they don’t give as much meat as other Flame Broilers. I also gave them 5 stars because even though I ordered just the bowl, they gave me a free regular sized drink for FREE!!! :)
O yeah don’t forget to use your flame broiler membership point card thing. Buy 10 bowls get 1 free!
