Came here with my adult daughter on a Monday afternoon during lunch time. They were busy so we were asked to just seat ourselves anywhere we can find a spot. We squeezed in between to groups outside on the wooden bench. The menus are already placed on the table, so we scanned over it and knew what we wanted to drink & eat within 5min. 5 min turned into 10& honestly I don’t think they would of realized that we were new customers, if I didn’t stop one of the waitress for service. I think the whole concept of seating yourself is awesome, but the staff needs to keep their eyes out for the new guests, that also need to be greeted. It would be greatly appreciated ;) Remember to check-in emeditly for their $ 3.00 chips and salsa with guacamole. The guacamole was by far the best/freshest I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant. I can probably just come in just for it & a few beers alone. Highly recommend it! I’m very familiar with the fusion of tacos. I’m Korean & hubby of almost 30yrs is mexican, so we’ve been combining our traditional dishes together forever. Today we ordered 1– Banh Mi $ 3.50, 1– Shortrib $ 4.50, 1– carne asada, $ 3.75 and 1– shrimp $ 4.75, low carb style for additional $ 1.00. My daughter really enjoyed the Shortrib & Banh Mi. Both came out with plenty of different sauces like Queso Fresco, Salsa Verde, so I suggest biting into them before you add anymore additional hot sauces that are placed on tour table. My carne asada & Shrimp on a pinch of salad, was good. The shrimps are plump & fresh. The carne asada was cooked perfect. All in all it was a good meal. They also offer options for Vegetarians . They provide a large selection of beers to wash down your tacos … can’t really call them street because there bigger but smaller than regular size. … So a happy medium. You’re probably going to have to eat a minimum of 2 – 3 to get full. I can see my hubby taking down possibly 5−6… ;) we’ll definitely be back

Horrible Service… Your establishment had the most offensive music playing on the patio!!! Every other word was the«F» word and the«N» word. I was appalled. We had our kids with us. Even if we didn’t I was offended. I went in to tell them. I asked did they know they were playing offensive music and it was playing outside. They said yes they knew and did it offend me? I was horrified. This man could care less. Your entire establishment on that side could hear this horrible music.

My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine’s Day morning after our spin class and we just wanted a quick bite to eat since we had a long day ahead of us. We thought tacos were a good choice because you can never go wrong with tacos. They are quick and easy to eat as well. We sat outside because it was such a beautiful morning! We each ordered 2 tacos each and that was it. Our server was informative about our sauces and recommended the popular tacos and what he liked. We ordered: CARNITAS(Pork):($ 3.50) Bone-in Braised, Salsa Rojo, Pico, Lime Wedge. I did not eat this but my boyfriend said this was just okay. The meat was super dried and tastelesss THESHORTRIB:($ 4.50) Achiote-Braised, Cilantro, Pickled Onion, Queso Fresco, Salsa Verde. John recommended these and I thought it was terrible. Short ribs are suppose to be tender, juicy and melt in your mouth but the meat was dried and not flavorful at all. This was a huge disappointment and on top of that, it was not worth $ 4.50. And also, we ordered two of these so for $ 9…not worth it CHILIRELLENO: Green Chili stuffed with Pepper Jack, Enchilada Sauce, Queso Fresco, Cilantro(Corn Tortilla)($ 3.50). I thought this was terrible too. One bit and all I could taste was the green chili. I couldn’t even taste the cheese or the enchilada sauce. Felt like I was just eating a green chili. Not worth it either For a total of $ 20 with tip, we got 4 not so good tacos. I should’ve taken that $ 20 and go get some more authentic tacos at a taqueria. Probably would have gotten to keep some extra change as well. Hell, I’d rather choose Taco Bell any day of this place. Sorry guys, never coming back. This is what you get for going to a hipster place. I gave this place two stars because it wasn’t crowded, we did not have to wait, and the service was good but other than that, stay away NOTE: You get a free back of chips and guacamole for $ 3 for a UnilocalCHECKIN. Usually $ 5.50.

Best tacos I’ve ever had, and I’ve had some great tacos in my life. It’s pricey, but it is obvious that the ingredients and cooks are of the highest quality.

This place is bombbbb. Came in for my first time a couple of weeks ago and got the banh mi, short ribs, and duck tacos. All of them were amazing but I think the banh mi was my favorite. Not that I’m Vietnamese or anything. It was just really good… Our server was really great too. He was very attentive, always asking if we need anything. Thanks for a great lunch taco asylum!

Fantastic food. Not much that’s vegetarian that’s worthy, except the vegetarian chili relleno — crazy delicious, but way overpriced so only go at Happy Hour. Cracked, mushy seating that catches on your clothes will be replaced soon.(Yay). Unfortunately, everything is served on tin/metal plates and trays — which takes the great flavors of every dish — and the experience down a notch. Perhaps the plates are supposed to have the charm of camping? They’re just awful, and they don’t retain heat like a real plate so your food gets cold quickly. Cold taco and cold beer anyone?

Love Taco Asylum, been coming here for years. I admire the manager who always has the tendency to experiment with new things on the menu and introduce new hot sauces and beer. If you’re looking for new, innovative non-traditional tacos, Taco Asylum is a great spot to check out. My go to tacos are: –Bacon PB&J –Duck Mole No matter what they change on the menu, there is a reason these two stay. The combo of Bacon PB&J sounds simple, but it’s a great mix of savory and sweet. Regarding the duck mole, I think the chef cooks this meat the best compared to the other offerings on the menu, trust me. It’s tender, soft and full of flavor. In addition, you must try their chili’s. They even sell these separately if you want to take them home, which you might! Splatter some Ghost Chili(not for the weak stomach!) or Hot Haberno sauce and I call that a good taco Tuesday.

This a cute little place for tacos and beer. I like the little details inside for the decorations. Though the place was cute, I wasn’t too much of a fan for the tacos. I ordered the octopus tacos because I like octopus already. The meat was soft and a good chewy consistency, but I thought the taste was lacking. We also had the carne asada taco and that was just alright as well. I would probably go back and give the other dishes a try and maybe have a beer.

Dang, this is a great place for a casual, filling tasty lunch on a Saturday. My husband and I had; Spring roll taco(vegetarian) — Delicious and fresh BBQ chicken taco — Delicious and the perfect amount of spice Mole duck taco — TONS of duck but that wasn’t actually a great thing. I was really looking for that mole flavor and barely got it Jamaican jerk taco — by far the best. Great flavor. Contrasting spice with sweet pineapple. So good. Octopus taco — Can’t really review this one accurately… I took a bite and all tasted good, but I’m not as comfortable with octopus as my husband is. Great list of craft beers to choose from and had playoff football on the TVs. This place hit the spot!

Located in the CAMP, right next to Vitaly, is Taco Asylum! Do you love tacos? Do you love trying different types of tacos? Well this ISTHEPLACE! Taco Tuesday offers 3PM-10PM $ 3 classic tacos $ 2 off draft beer $ 1 off speciality tacos Happy Hour M, W, Th, F 3−6pm $ 1 off tacos $ 2 off draft beers So what does this mean? You’re basically gonna get Taco Tuesday whenever you want! :3 Baby Octopus: Red-wine braised octopus, pesto, olive tomato salad, feta crumble($ 4.50) MHM. MHMINDEED. This was an excellent taco. They have so many things that are jam packed into one really small tortilla skin. Their octopus tasted delicious(this actually might be something that others may not try). The feta crumble is a good«light» addition that supplements the heaviness of the octopus. I loved this SOMUCH. Ones I didn’t try: Bacon PB&J Banh Mi Jamican Jerk Chicken Philly Cheese Steak Duck Mole The Shortrib Buffalo Fried Chicken Firepig Shrimp Pad Thai BBQ Chicken (All between $ 3.50-$ 6) Classic tacos: I wanna try their atlantic cod battered one day, but that will be for another day. Shrimp: Chili-lime shrimp, salsa verde, radish, cabbage, cilantro, lime wedge($ 4.75) The Shrimp was mixed with the salsa and this was amazingly made. It was like a BBQ met seafood :3 Their radish and cabbage look kinda adorably chopped in there. I would suggest you get this only on taco Tuesday since it will be $ 3 only: D This is something you can carryout or dine in. When you dine in, you get to choose any seat you want in the restaurant(you have a couple places you can sit down at). You pay after you finish– just go up to the register. Service– nice and attentive. probably because I was one of two people sitting there haha: P But the tastes. The new flavors. OMG. I love their tacos.

This place has a really fun vibe to it. If you want anything besides tacos and beer though this is not the place for you. If you want a fabulous twist on tacos, you’ve come to the right place. They’ve taken most concepts of flavor palettes and put them in a taco. My friend and I have different tastes so we ordered 6 different ones. Craving Sushi? Check — the baby octopus taco. Shrimp? Of course Southern spice? Buffalo chicken I got the pb and j. It was fantastic! I love short rib so I couldn’t pass that one up. The philly cheese mushroom was rich. The food was great and I feel like there are plenty of options to keep me coming back for more. Service was very casual so I’ll give it 4 stars. Side note: Our server looked like he could have been a star on the Sons of Anarchy. Check it out for the food. ;)

Old vine café was super busy and it was almost noon, so we decided to change brunch to lunch! We came here and it wasn’t busy, so we seated ourselves in the patio area. It’s very peaceful and nice outside. The service was great. We were greeted right away, and food didn’t take long at all. They have about 7 beers on tap, they have chalkboards inside with names of them. For two people, we ordered four tacos and an order of nachos. 1. Buffalo Chicken 2. Duck Molé 3. Short rib 4. Banh mi 5. Carne Asada tacos Everything was delicious except for the Duck Molé. My taste buds did not like the taste of that sauce at all! The carne Asada on the nachos were very scarce and cut into big slices rather than cut into smaller pieces, which I would kindly suggest them to do. Other than that, Bön appetite!

3.5 rounded up instead of down this time, because bacon. This place was near our hotel and my sisters and I couldn’t resist. Our server was awesome — Charles or James? I guess he wasn’t that awesome if I don’t remember his name but I swear he was great! We ordered the PB&J taco and it was Everything, because bacon! I mean, come on, I think the B stood for Bacon. The fried chicken taco was just ok — the chicken needed a lot more flavor. The roast beef taco was pretty good, the meat was tender and had decent flavor but the mashers that came with it… yummo! I could’ve went for a side of them on their own. I’d go back if ever in the area and see what they’ve got on the menu as well as have another PB&J taco — because bacon.

Interesting concepts on tacos. I came this past sunday for a brunch and we were seated outside. Each taco was in the range of $ 3 to $ 5 dollars. We decided to order the carne asada nachos which came on potato chips and dam they were crazy greasy. There were a few types of cheese on there but then just loads of grease too. Not so much carne asada either. The small scoop of guacamole seemed like from a quality can but def not freshly made. At a $ 8 price point, I’d expect more quality or at least more quantity. The tacos, I had the banh mi taco which wasn’t bad. the pork was seasoned well and had good banh mi flavor without the french bread haha. I also had the baby octopus one which had a good amount of octopus in there but had some super greasy green sauce which i wasn’t a fan of. I had the carna asada taco which seemed pretty standard. I also had the saison beer which was good because it was cold and if you like that type of beer, pretty standard. 2 out of 5 stars because service was good, food concept was presented nicely but nothing special for the price point. Probably won’t be back but maybe if others I’m with are curious.

A friend suggested going here for dinner when she mentioned the tacos were delicious. She had the pollo and baby octopus tacos which I had a bite of which were good. I had the Atlantic cod craft beer battered fish, carnitas, the short rib and duck with mole taco. I didn’t feel just 2 tacos would be filling for my appetite. I let my friend try all my tacos too then we both didn’t like the duck with mole taco. I recommend all the ones we ordered except for the duck with mole the taste is very different. If you don’t like mole or are not familiar with the ingredients of the taco its better to not order it. The tortilla chips we shared were very salty with the guacamole dip too. Less salt on those tortilla chips would make it taste way better instead of all the salt that is bad for your health. Taco’s are on the high end then good for those taco lovers who like gourmet food. This place is worth a try at least once. Order different flavors tacos for a unique dinning experience with all different flavors. I really like the Atlantic cod craft beer battered fish taco the best out of all the ones I ate. Finding parking is the worse here with a small parking lot. I suggest you valet for $ 3, carpool with a friend or park far away in a residential neighborhood then walk here. Some parts of the parking lot can feel narrow when other cars are driving around too.

«Taco Asylum»…love the name, right? Imagine how limitless, how deliciously inventive and clever traditional menus can become – turned upside-down, helter-skelter and topsy-turvy – when caressed with the hand of lunacy… Maybe you don’t accept my analogy, but here at Taco Asylum, the taco, bound by centuries of tradition and commonality, is unchained and given A LOT more room to breathe. Sure the classics are made available: Carne Asada, Pollo, Blackened Atlantic Cod, each what you’ve come to expect, yet with signature twists to make things interesting. However, if you’re feeling a bit curious and forward, taco-ed varietals such as Bacon PB&J, Bánh mì, Duck Mole, Baby Octopus, and Philly Cheese Steak – so intriguingly apropos – await you. So there… Taco Asylum is creative and fun, and certainly the taco enthusiast inside each of us has reason to try what the Asylum has to offer. I enjoyed it, and I really appreciate their innovation. I mean, you have to allow for change, to try something new sometimes, to move forward(despite apprehension.) Where would we be if no one ever tried, you know? For this alone, Taco Asylum deserves five stars. However, for me, the finish didn’t quite deliver. On the pricier side(in my estimation), the tacos we’d ordered just lacked depth, strength. Are they colorful and vibrant? Of course they are, but they’re more of a flavor tease, a small bite of what I’d wished shouldered more.(Small tacos.) Regardless, Taco Asylum deserves applause, and I applaud you. Keep up the great work. I’m sure you’ve got more up your sleeve. =]

Tacos were great! The carnitas taco was the best. The buffalo chicken went just to my extreme. Hot enough to feel like your tongue has been in a spa for 4 hrs. It’s a long deep heat. I mean you need a full beer at the ready, don’t start without it. But not to the point of pain. The others were tasty too, bing ma, shrimp, carne asada. And nice selection of brewskis. Nothing generic. IPA, Pilsner and a English ale. And the pre-season Seahawks. A good night for sure
