Del Taco

Love this place (too much and too often) only allow myself the chili cheddar fries once in a while as a treat.
Tonight they totally whiffed it.
I said «Chili cheddar fries.», imagine my excitement.
«Nacho fries?» He replied thru the tin box.
«Chili,» I corrected, for clarity, not admonishment.
«They have jalapeños»…
Can you feel the pain here? I don’t know if he’s not understanding me, or just saying that they don’t ‘do’ chili cheddar fries anymore.
He hands me my order.
No chili and almost no queso.
Dudes, it’s a heartbreaker. Let’s get it together.
This four star review is for the years of flawless drive-​thru convenience.
That blank star is for the disappointed look on my face.
Btw: Chili cheddar fries appear on the website and it’s even printed on the box. Come on!
That aside, I’ll see you in a couple of days… but I won’t be getting the chili cheddars for a long time :(

Worst Del taco I have ever been to! Me and my friends came here last week and tried to walk thru the drive thru at about 1am and they said NO. Ok, that’s fine. So we called an Über to drive us through to get food. As we are ordering, a group of DRUNK BITCHES comes walking thru the drive thru without a car and they get served! WTF?!? So I ask the «manager» on duty why they are allowed to get served, but we were not. No explanation. Horrible management, please avoid!!!

Their service is lame

They take waaaaaay too long to make 6 0.59 tacos, over 10 min with only 1 person ahead of me. This is the worst del taco.

Love del taco since I grew up on the east coast it’s a great alternative to taco bell. I work right next door so I go there a couple times a week. It is a good place I like the new buck and under menu. :)

Ramos is the best employee I’ve ever met. He so helpful and understanding. Always ask for him. 5 stars all the way!

This del taco can never get my order right. Tonight I got nachos with no cheese, soggy fries, and a broken taco. Thanks del taco!

Bugs, bugs, bugs! Seriously? Where is the health department! I’ll call!

This location is a little old, and slow. Very small for seating and they got my order wrong a few times in the drive through. Not a ton of parking available either.

Late night local hotspot for tacos. flavorless taco bowl. I say Taco Cabana from the south is way better.

Macho fries at 2AM taste better then macho fries at 2PM… true story

Horrible, never coming back. If I could give no stars, I would.
My girlfriend and I grabbed some early morning food from this place in the drive thru. Not only did they get the order wrong, the top to their sour cream bottle was in my damn burrito. Sloppy. I don’t know what else was in this food but I’ve been throwing up for the past hour. Never coming back to this place.

Del Taco does not disappoint. Since it’s so very close to home and within walking distance, I’m here often. It’s not healthy but it’s quick, fast, and super cheap.
My favorites are the chicken soft tacos and the spicy jack quesadilla. It’s open ²⁴⁄₇ and the attendants are all very friendly and the service is super fast. What’s not to love? I haven’t had a bad experience.
This is a tiny location though. The drive-​thru is efficient and goes by very fast.

What I am reviewing is their Double del cheese burger. This is absolutely their best item on their menu. It is a solid burger. It is juicy, meaty with the right amount of veggies and special sauce. One of my favorite places to get burgers. The rest of their menu is junk!

who isnt a fan of convenient drive thru mexican food places that have been keeping hungry kids fed for 20+ years of my life.
The kids were happy to have their breakfast served from bags that said Del Taco on them.
Breakfast burritos with red sauce are delicious.

This location sports unenclosed drive through. It can be very tight exiting the drive through /​parking lot as there only is one shared exit.
Service here is typical fast food service, which is below average of course.
The diet coke ratio is off. Unfortunately every diet coke I’ve had here has been below average.

I am not a nutritiounist but I know that if you infuse more alcohol into your blood stream than the amount of water you have conosumed in the entire week — you need to eat! and that is what we did, after some event at a steak house by south coast, and bar hopping around Costa Mesa Lab area. Come to think of it, Del Taco was about the only place to offer anything edible to eat after 9/​10pm in this neighborhood, which is also open 24 hours.
I got the spicy chicken burrito, which tasted neither spicy nor could i find any damn chicken. for 2.50, it was a disappointment. I had a taste of my friend’s beef burrito, it was yummy! also I learnt today that Del Taco has this mysterious Mac&Cheese Bites, which are these triangle shaped friend mac&cheese. hm, when did Del Taco stepped it up a notch. HOnestly i havent been to this place in a long while, and this item wasnt out and loud on the menu, and i wouldnt have ordered had it not been my friend who was in the car!
For about 11 $s, 3 of us got enough food/​drinks/​snacks and side dishes!!!
so if you see a del taco next time in your neighborhood, try the mac&cheese bites!!!

Crispy shrimp baja style tacos KICK ARSE! Added hot sauce and squeezed some lime on them and YUM! Tasty with a kick.
They need to rethink the paper they wrap the tacos in though… sauce soaks right through.

I use to live by this place and it was always a good pit stop after a night at Sharks or Mesa before going home. Just be careful… there are lots of cops roaming around the area waiting to pull you over for any reason they may find…
Can’t go wrong with their chicken soft tacos or their crunchy tacos… And their chili cheese deluxe fries… Yummy!
