BEST PIZZA EVER!!! I have been eating and loving this pizza for over 40 years. I love pizza and have tried all the others, but nothing comes close to South Coast, (which I still call and will always call Me-​N-​Eds). They use 6 different cheeses so the cheese has real flavor it’s not boring like most places that just use mozzarella. But don’t worry they don’t use cheese that doesn’t belong on a traditional Italian pizza like feta. The crust is thin, perfectly thin, with a crispiness I have never had anywhere else. The crust and the sauce (paste) have lots of flavor too. If you get toppings, I prefer just cheese, they are very generous with the toppings they do not skimp. You have just got to try this place at least once in your life.

My family’s favorite pizza joint. This ma’and Pa’ shop has been my favorite pizza joint with a great price! The airy-​yet crispy crust is the best I ever tasted! One of my favorite pizza is the «Margarita «pizza! If you go here it may look vintage but their pizza is amazing! Recommend!

I don’t know what it is about this pizza that makes it so delicious?! The veggies always taste fresh and the crust always has that perfect crunchy/​soft combination (drool). Seriously, just try it. I vouch for the pizza. You won’t be disappointed.

My dad got this on a couple for 2 pizzas for $ 26 dollars for x-​large which is good plus you can get as much toppings as you want. Unfortunately, my dad likes everything one his pizza so pretty much when we got it, it tasted interesting and could not taste much of anything. But they did get our pizza out in 20 minutes as promised and the waiting area was really nice. Anyways I would come back here again if we do not get «everything» on the pizza.

Okay, this is a tough one to review because while we like pretty much everything about it, there are many who may find plenty to not like about it. First of all, it’s an older establishment that appears to be a family-​run business. Our interactions with the staff have always been very positive. The building itself is older but they do have plenty of tv’s inside to watch sporting events. There are some different games for kids to play. We really enjoy the pizza and the prices are very competitive. It’s very casual and can occasionally be busy with large groups that have a lot of kids but that’s partly what makes the atmosphere of the place. Their lunch special goes until like 4:30 pm and is a terrific deal. It may not be your first choice to bring out-​of-​town guests but it’s a great spot to relax and grab some pizza in a friendly environment.

Good pizza cold beer and my kid loves the place. Been going there dive it was me n eds and meh I wouldn’t order take out but to go have a beer and pizza and cut the kid loose it is perfect.

Wish this could be a better review. So i ordered a half bbq chicken half everything pizza. Well I’ve never had a problem before but this time was bad. Under cooked and missing ingredients. Thank goodness they brought me a new pizza up to sc pizza parlour standards. Don’t get me wrong the pizza is great just an isolated experience.

I’m sorry, but I did not like this pizza at all. Sure, it may make the locals feel nostalgic when they come here but the pizza was sub-​par. Got the pepperoni pizza and the crust tasted like a saltine cracker. Dominoes is way better in my opinion.

This place has the best gluten free pizza around AND they deliver! Literally get it about once a week and the staff is super friendly. Sergio seems to always deliver and he is always quick and efficient. Always goes above and beyond to be friendly and bring all the sides. Even paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils and of course Parmesan and pepper flakes.

I went there with my family. Service was slow, extremely slow and the restaurant was dirty. The staff was rude, acted like you were lucky to be there. The food came out cold and tasted lousy. We watched many people come in and pick up their orders while we sat and waited for almost an hour. This place is the worst. I will not go back again, ever.

Hands down, Thee BEST pizza and service in all the land. Crispy yet airy crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese.

This is our local cheap delivery pizza spot. Their pizza is WAY better than any other delivery spot on 17^th st.
If you’re dining in, it’s a cool old school pizza parlor with beer and games. Always fun.
Their crust is so good. Perfectly crispy.
My only wish is that they would deliver before 5PM sometimes.

If you’ve looked in the area along time this used to be Me-and-Ed’s pizza. Very good pizza with a lightly tangy sauce. Good specials if you want to purchase multiple pizzas.
I’ve tried the gluten-​free crust, it’s fair, not exactly my favorite as most gluten-​free crust tend to be a little on the wood like consistency. And often take longer to cook

If flavorless crust, skimpy n mediocre toppings on an overpriced pie are ur thing then THIS is the place for you.
There are some great pizzas in CM like Nicks and Darias. Frankly a Roundtable skinny crust destroys this place on taste and value.
No redeeming attribute other than location. Don’t wAste your time or $$.

I have been a driver with south coast for over 7 years. I still work here part time because I enjoy that it is a major part of the local Newport Mesa community. This location has been a pizzeria for over 60 years. Occasionally cute senior couples come in telling us that they had been on dates there in high school. The dough is a delicious thin crust recipe unchanged in decades. If it wasn’t amazing pizza I wouldn’t have loved eating it 4 nights a week over the years and still do. Especially good when you ask for it to be a little crispy. It was also recently spoken about in a magazine as the healthiest pizza in town due to a lower carb content of our crust and our gluten free and vegan options
I personally have gone to great lengths to structure, expand and build our delivery service. South coast has no delivery charge. We will goto homes, apartment complexes, parks, school, hotels, occasionally boats and usually quicker than our competitors.
The owners have put a lot of work and improvement over the last 2 years. Inside you’ll find a wide new beer and wine selection, clean remodeled bathrooms, 6 new flat screens showing sports, a surround sound system and freshly repainted inside and out with new improvements being made constantly. We do our best to always accommodate for and make customers happy. whether its setting up a party, making a specialty pizza or delivering lots of delicious food directly to the school or park for your kids game we our promise is to do our best. This is a independent family business and like any company we are not 100% perfect… But we are headed in that direction

I ordered a small Hawaiian pizza which was offered in original crust or gluten free.
This is a great pizza spot for fans of thin crust. They have T. Vs around the room and games for kids (or adults).
They sell 9oz beer (Mug) for about $ 1.86 and pitchers around $ 9! I got a mug of New Castle on draft.
Cheap beer + pizza= a returning customer

Awesome local spot! !! They make gluten free pizza but they charge extra $ 2! ! (Only available in mini or medium). Man the meat lovers is incredible. Can’t get enough of this place.
It gets REALLY busy so call ahead. Lots of kids too. The staff is always friendly and overwhelmed. Great prices. Where can you buy a beer for $ 1.86?

Came cause I got a Groupon and I feel I got a great deal. We had the antipasto salad, garlic cheese bread, sodas and a large pizza with 4 toppings for 17 bucks and I do not
Regret it. Staff was helpful, patient and friendly.
The pizza crust is thin and crispy, the sauce is very light and the cheese is good quality.
I will definitely come back.

phone customer service: on point and very easy to place an order. I had purchased a groupon and specified which one I bought before ordering. less than 5min on the phone and my order was expected to be ready within 15min.
the pizza here is known for their thin crust. it was perfect! did not taste like a cracker full of toppings not did it taste like soggy tortilla. by the looks of things, this place is definitely kid friendly. sort of reminded me of bullwinkles back who knows when.

The closest to the Me-​N-​Eds I’m used to and miss so much! Only difference was the crust was a wee bit thinner. Still really great pizza and super fast service :) I’m a fan.
