Parolli’s Porchetta is simply one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s packed with fantastic flavors and juices, all of which soak in wonderfully with the perfectly toasted bread. The roasted potatoes were a tad oily, but were very tasty and slightly crispy. Portions are very generous. Yes, this porchetta sandwich is on par with Roli Roti’s in SF, and arguably better. The service is excellent and food is made with the family’s TLC. Check their social media accounts to find out where they’re going to be and if they’re at SoCo on a Saturday, head over there and enjoy a mouth-watering Porchetta sandwich.

The porchetta sandwich here was really good! The meat felt like it could have melted it in your mouth, and it was just the right blend of meaty, fatty, and crunchy that the whole dish just tasted awesome! The bread was a little oily though(well the whole thing was), but that didn’t detract away from how awesome the whole thing tasted, and probably was part of the reason why it tasted so good! The potatoes on the side were passable, and they were kind of salty, but they are forgettable with how good the sandwich was.

The Paleo Porchetta salad with porchetta was fabulous. The pork loin rolled with crispy pork belly was juicy, tender and flavorful. My husband had the porchetta sandwich, which was huge. He recommends getting a half sandwich. We will definitely go back. The food is five stars, but the ambiance – a table in the sun at the farmers market – left a lot to be desired.

UPDATE2⁄21: Finally got to try the Porchetta. I’ve had porchetta at several other places(Roli Roti in SF, Osteria Mozza in LA, Paninoteca Maggio in Santa Ana …) and this is good if not better than any of those in flavor and tenderness — unfortunately my plate was«cold.» Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to come. I waited about 12 – 15 mins for mine — I assumed that it was because they needed to prepare a fresh off the rotisserie porchetta, so it was strange that it was basically cold. Taste: Very good, with a very good blend of herbs that don’t overpower the meat. Texture: Soft and tender loin meat, crispy skin just as it should be. Meat is juicy when you bite into it, and the fat is well rendered. Temperature: As above, cold. If it had been warm, it would have been phenomenal. I would love to try some right when it comes off the rotisserie. Presentation: Cleanly presented. I got the Paleo, which came served on a fresh bed of spinach and arugula and topped with their tangy green dressing. Final verdict based on food alone: 4 stars, would have been 5 if the meat were warm. UPDATE2⁄1: Just got an email from Parolli rolli saying they had a family emergency … So sorry to hear about that. I updated the review to 3 stars for now and will update it accordingly after eventually trying out the sandwiches for the first time, if I ever get a chance to. Hopefully they are 5 star sandwiches ORIGINALPOST: Said they’d be back at soco today after not being here last week either … Guess what NOTHERE again. No one answered the phone. No posting on their facebook page or anywhere. Parolli needs to be more organized if you’re a mobile food company with an inconsistent hours structure. This pertains to answering phone, posting a schedule or your whereabouts on social media, etc … otherwise business will begin to fail as you piss more customers off.

Porchetta is awesome. The paleo porchetta that Parolli Rolli serves: also awesome. That green herby dressing slathered over greens and porchetta: awesome. I have no complaints.

Porchetta, porchetta, porchetta!!!(pronounced por-ketta) At long last, a place in OC to satisfy my porchetta craving and I couldn’t be happier! Like many, I was first introduced to the porchetta by Roli Roti in SF. After one bite into their succulent, mouthwatering, herb stuffed, roasted pork with crispy skin, I was hooked! It instantly became one of my all-time favorite sandiwches and Roli Roti became a must stop destination every time I went up north. For the longest time, I’ve prayed they would expand to OC, but now thanks to Parolli Rolli, there is no need! Parolli Rolli’s version of the porchetta sandwich is just slightly different than Roli Roti’s, but I would argue they are equally as delicious. The meat itself is very similar. Both are super flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I would have to do a side by side tastes to really be able to tell a difference. Both sandwiches also use fresh arugula and a ciabatta roll. I don’t know where Parolli get’s their bread from, but Roli use Acme rolls which is a well known bakery up there. The difference is negligible. The first real noticeable difference is that Parolli uses an herb relish versus grilled onions. Both are good. It’s hard to say which is better, but I do like that Parolli gives you an extra container of the stuff in case you want your sandwich even more herby. Second, Parolli’s version is bigger and they give you noticeably more meat. A fork will definitely be needed to pick up all the meat droppings. But this also comes at a heavier prices tag at $ 12 whereas Roli Roti is $ 9.50. The biggest difference in my opinion is the potatoes. Roli Roti charges you $ 3 for a decent sized portion of potatoes. However, I actually don’t like Roli Roti’s potatoes and avoid them! They are supposed to be flavored with the meat drippings, but I find them kind of bland and the only flavor is from the added salt. On the other hand, Parolli includes a small side of potatoes with every sandwich and their potatoes are so much more flavorful. I’m not entirely sure why, but I think it’s because their potatoes are cooked in a pan with the meat drippings as opposed to being cooked separately and lettings the meat drippings fall directly on them afterward. I might be wrong about this, but regardless, Parolli’s potatoes are better. Parolli also offers a prime top sirloin, herb roasted chicken, leg of lamb and turkey sandwiches. Any meats can be ordered paleo style(no bread, on a bed of arugula) or as a mini half-sandwich for $ 7. They also have a snack version which is just meat and potatoes for $ 7. They also have a breakfast benedict for $ 8 if you get there early enough. To sum up this crazy long review, Parolli Rolli is awesome and their porchetta is legit. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Oh the Porchetta sandwich… juicy porky goodness taunts you once you get a whiff of the smells that are coming from this little booth at the end of the Farmer’s market. It is torture waiting for your sandwich and watching the others being made before you. Slowly slicing and dicing the roll of pork and adding that magical piece of crisp skin on top is just… if you were hungry when you ordered, you will turn into a ravenous savage once your food is presented to you. The chopped pork itself is juicy but wait, they add their own secret sauce on top of that as well as arugula, you know to make you feel healthy. A little cup of that sauce on the side as well, and you will end up drinking and then cleaning up every last drop that is in that cup, mind you. Definitely enough for 2 people if you pace yourself, and this sandwich on its chewy bread(I’ll try the multigrain next time) is a masterpiece for the tastebuds with textures and spices all coming together perfectly. Oh yeah, those potatoes. Damn good! Don’t let the looks fool you, they are delicious! Dip into the sauce… yummy. $ 12 was well spent as it easily fed the 3 of us.

Great guys and female family friend. talked to this trio for about 20 minutes at the Anaheim market two weeks ago. Took my sandwich to go and actually didn’t eat it until a few hours later and then the other half the next day. The sandwich reheated in the over very well, so well in fact that I know a fresh one would be the best sandwich I have ever had! I definitely hope these guys become regulars.

It smelled really good as I was walking down the Anaheim farmers market. When I saw this huge cut of meat. So it happened to be a pork loin. The smell was pretty irresistible. I went for it. Didn’t regret it. The bread is bomb. The spices are great. And they marinated it right. Oh btw the potatoes are good too.

My husband and I both tried our first porchetta sandwich. The man was really friendly, and the health inspector was checking it out at the time, so I felt like cleanliness standards were maintained for this booth at the farmers’ market. The relish was really good. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy. I would have preferred less fat on the meat, but that very well could be what porchetta is. Good experience. A bit expensive at $ 12 for a sandwich.

I love Parolli Rolli! They’re always at the Newport Beach farmer’s market every Sunday and their food is amazing. The meats are all slow cooked so they’re nice and tender and delicious. If you have never had porchetta this is a great place to try it! Parolli Rolli specializes in Italian street food and you can really tell they put their heart and soul into it. It is run by a husband and wife who are the sweetest people ever; they are so helpful and really know their stuff! Go to the farmer’s market at Newport Beach on Sunday and try this place out.

The best sandwich I’ve eaten in a long time. I was just going to the farmer’s market when an aroma lured me over to the booth. After being handed a small sample of porchetta, I was sold. They porchetta was chopped up right in front of me and was asked if I wanted a little crackling, which I replied no, I want a lot of crackling. Dude even laid a generous piece of pork candy on top of the sandwich as an extra treat. The ciabatta, porchetta, chimichurri, crackling, and arugula all blend together in your mouth like a symphony. It was a pretty big sandwich, but before you could finish saying porchetta, it was gone! Looking forward to trying the lamb or roast duck next time.

My husband and 5 year old have been on a look out for the porchetta sandwich since moving to SoCal. Originally from SF we have been accustomed to eating Rolli Roti’s porchetta sandwich. Sooooo happy when I chanced upon an instagram post of a friend featuring Parolli Rolli last Saturday! That same day I was online searching and searching where I can get them. Found out that they will be at Newport Beach Farmer’s Market next day. We set our alarms and drove more than 20 miles from Norwalk to Newport Beach. The first bite was pure bliss. Fresh bread, pork so tender, juicy and tasty and greens added that crunch. The potatoes on the side was sooo good, my son really enjoyed that. I also loved the herb relish on the side. But the extra added treat was the crispy skin on top of the sammich. Oh my goodness it was sooo good. Having said that, we are definitely going back to get this sandwich even if it means driving 20+ miles to get it on a weekend. :D

Don’t miss out on this fabulousness! You’ll find them in the SoCo farms market on Sat. Just fallow your nose! They serve up porchetta, lamb and game hen sandwiches. We got a porchetta sandwich to split, it’s more than enough for two people. It comes with the most awesome potatoes too. Delicious!!! Next time I’m all over the game hen.

This sandwich is so good, it’s not even fair. I just finished eating half of my porchetta sandwich, and I had to stop to breathe and write this review. I am literally sitting in my car, writing this review on my phone. All you self proclaimed foodies have got to know about the porchetta sandwich at roli roti in SF. Well, I’ve never had it, so I was freaking out when I found out about Parolli Rolli in OC. I think I told the owners that I «jumped out of bed like a ninja» to come down here right after I found out. I don’t think too many people know about this place, but it won’t be long until they are super hyped. There wasn’t a line at all when I went, but a crowd kept building while I was waiting for my sandwich, and all people kept saying was«OMG it smells SOOOGOOD.» And dammit, it tastes just as good as it smells. The pork has so much flavor, and it’s so juicy. I love the fresh arugula on the sandwich, and whatever crack sauce they put on there. All this oil was dripping down my chin while I was eating(in the most non-disgusting way), ruining my makeup, and I DIDNTEVENCARE. The sandwich is on the high end at $ 12, but if you aren’t a heifer liked me, the sandwich and potatoes that it comes with«should be» enough to feed 2 ;)

Just one of the many reasons I won’t give up meat/pork. I had just finished attending a cooking demo at Surfas and naively had ventured into the Saturday farmer’s market, thinking I was JUST going to check out and support Homeboy Bakery to see if they had the cranberry bread and I would be out. WRONG. I spotted Parolli Rolli and noticed they were serving porchetta. CRAP. And for $ 12. A bit pricey and I was running low on cash, so that must be sign that I shouldn’t get it. Of course, then they tell they also take credit cards. DAMMIT. So I observed I believe the owner prepare a porchetta sandwich for a couple. And seeing that piece of meat was quite a lovely thing. I told him I had tried Porchetta in NY, which he was familiar with and had also tried porchetta at Mozza-to-go(yum and sadly I don’t see it on the menu currently). But the closest thing to porchetta in Orange County to my knowledge is Paninoteca Maggio’s Toscana sandwich. Then I asked him if they were going to be at the Saturday’s Farmers Market next week and he said yes, thinking I could hold off until then. But then he gave me complimentary piece of crispy pork skin aka pork candy and it was over. I told him I hated him and then got myself a porchetta sandwich. It’s a good sandwich, all the ingredients go well, the greens, the green sauce, and the lovely seasoned pieces of meat. Even the bread was good. It also comes with a side of roasted potatoes. Initially my plan was to share this sandwich since one half of it is quite filling. I left the other piece for my family but since no one ate it that evening, I just had to eat it. And I was burping porchetta. Mmmmmmm. Porchetta so close to home is quite dangerous perhaps it’s a good thing they don’t have a storefront yet and is here only weekly.

I found Parolli Rolli over at the SoCo Farmers’ Market this Saturday. The concept is simple and well executed. Rotisserie meats, greens, magic sauce and bread, with a side of roasted potatoes. It’s a fantastic formula and I’m hoping it sticks. I got a whole game hen on some fresh bread with arugula and their green sauce this morning, easily enough for two. They fortunately sold it to me that way too. The roasted potatoes were perfection. I could have eaten way too many. They also stick the wings in on the side. Nice touch. It was a super rainy morning and I snuck over in a dry moment, once I ordered it started pouring. They loaned me an umbrella to wait, while they dismantled the whole hen for my sandwich, then they walked me to my car with it. So mad props for that!
