This place was a surprise find for us! We drove by, didn’t know much about it, and we are surely glad that we stopped. The meal features some good ol’ Southern comfort food, with a special focus on products made from the local Apples. The server was very friendly, the appetizer of an Apple fritter and Apple cider was incredible, and while the food took a little while to get prepared, it was was WELL worth the wait. Homecooking takes time, and I appreciate the delicious result.

Wonderful experience! Great food! Very nice place! Exactly the kind a place I like to visit when I’m traveling. Defdnetly a place that you won’t see anywhere else but here! Nice market next to the restaurant! Gorgeous view in the mountains with the apple farm beside it!

Delicious home cooked food with a beautiful view of the orchard. The chicken and dumplings were great! We had lunch there and the price for all the food you get was great. After eating we went to the produce area where they have a ton of apples for sale… many different kinds not to mentions jams, ciders, vegetables, etc. there is also a candy store on the premises and a bakery that has amazing Apple bear claw fritters! Definitely a must if you are I. The gatlinburg area… the drive isn’t very far and quite scenic!

This place is worth the stop. Apples are fresh. We bought a beautiful wooden hand carved basket from a local artist. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Stop in the new bakery, the bear claw has fresh apples baked in it.

Definitely worth the drive. So much fun!!! Gorgeous property, excellent food and very neat to experience an actual orchard watching people sort and clean all of the apples. Loved the store full of apples and veggies, apple butter, cider etc

The apple fritters, the apple butter, the apple cider, and the fried apples that came with my meal were all EXCELLENT. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, since the restaurant is run by the orchard. Everything else(eggs, bacon, biscuit, and gravy) was just good, not great, though. I will probably go back and try something for dinner before I leave the area, though.

What an awesome find! The hot, homemade apple fritters & apple butter are absolutely delicious… Everything we ordered is homemade, including all of their salad dressings. The sweet tea is not too sweet. The tomatoes in the salad are JUICY and GARDENFRESH! Two of us ordered chicken & biscuits, and one of us pot pie. Huge helpings and flavorful. Eat here for good southern home cooking — you will not be sorry!!! The setting in the orchard is a bonus.

I was soooo pleased with myself when I came across this on Unilocal during a drive home from Asheville. This place was great! The food was fantastic and they start you our with apple biscuits, apple butter and apple cider. I got the chicken tenders based on a Unilocal review, not something I would typically order, but I am sure glad I did. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the best part was their homemade honey mustard. All the sides sounded amazing and I settles on real mashed potatoes and green beans, both were great! This place was just what we were looking for after a long drive full of fast food. It was the perfect stop.

A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Restaraunt and market in between a beautiful apple orchard. Service was friendly and quick. Apple fritters with apple butter and apple cider was to die for. Fried chicken was amazing, the hamburger was left to be desired but that was my fault seeing as their known for their southern food. Market was neat with lots of jams, ciders, and canned goods. They also have a store for a sweet tooth’s dream full of handmade chocolates and tons of other sweet treats. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Gatlinburg area.

Our lunch was amazing. Our view of the orchards while eating lunch was beautiful. The apple fritters were a great start to our lunch and the apple cider was fresh and cold. The apple bbq sandwich had such a tangy sweet flavor, unlike any bbq I’ve had before. It was easily one if the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Our daughter had the chicken fingers, but again, the flavors just enhanced them using the honey mustard sauce. The cole slaw was creamy and yummy. The waitress was very accommodating(never had to ask for refills) and friendly. Prices were very reasonable and you’ll leave full. Be sure to stop at the stores afterwards for some homemade treats. A definite stop if you are in the area.

So we finished white water rafting around 7ish ! Looking for a decent bite to eat ! The Gps took us the scenic tour ! Well worth the trip! This place is true southern hospitality ! We got there 15 minutes before closing and they were so gracious ! The food was very good ! The fritters were luke warm and probably reheated but really who would cook fresh fritters at 7:45 lol! The homemade apple butter made it taste great ! I had the fried chicken with Mash potatoes ! It was very good! The chicken and dumplings were perfect! The salads were fresh ! The trout was tasty ! A little glass of apple cider! The home made rolls were a little stale but again it’s late ! The best thing about this place is Stacy ! She cares and explains about the love and family pride about this place ! If you want a great meal and treated like family go see Stacy !

One-of-a-kind place! The orchard, produce market, and candy shop make Carver’s more than just a restaurant. However, what keeps me comin’ back are the chicken tenders. Coupled with the house-made honey mustard sauce, you cannot beat ‘em! Carver’s is an after church favorite for the locals, and teeming with tourists during season. Stop by and pick up some cider, jam, or salad dressing to take home.

We were in area for rafting and read Unilocal reviews for this place. So happy that we came here, home style southern food appealed a lot to us folks from Illinois.

Wonderful place for home cooked breakfast. Had the breakfast special($ 6.95) which included ham, 2 eggs, and 2 sides of your choice plus bread. Each meal includes Apple fritter, Apple butter, and small glass of Apple cider. The adjacent fresh food market is enjoyable as well. Picked up transparent apples, peach salsa and a jug of Apple cider to go.

Right after you sit down they bring you warm apple fritters, apple butter, and a shot of apple cider. The apple fritters were so darn good, I order another 6, and ate them as my meal. I still think about those apple fritters… a lot. The orchard is beautiful, they have a barn shop with fresh produce at a cheap cheap prices.

I enjoyed the market and candy shop. We bought several varieties of apples. 1 $ a pound. Delicious. The restaurant is ok. Apple fritters and cider were outstanding. Actual breakfast was so so. Rankin and Petes in Ktown far better. Service was poor. The staff seems to have no direction and it wasn’t busy. Took forever to have our drink order taken, breakfast order taken, and had to ask for check twice. Will definitely be back for the orchard and market. Will eat breakfast before we go.
