Definitely a poor experience for our family. It was especially disappointing since we so rarely can get more than 24 hours to take a «vacation» and we had so looked forward to a nice break and left feeling exhausted and completely let down. The location itself is absolutely beautiful, but we had extremely limited info prior to arrival and made assumptions we shouldn’t have regarding the accommodations and assumed it was a relatively clean and well kept place based on the little info we had via email. Hoping others can be better informed by our review so they are prepared, as this business owner is not interested in customer satisfaction or integrity, and we would hate for others to waste their time and money like we did. We assumed that since we’ve stayed in this area at other cabins before at the same price point and we aren’t high maintenance and are always well prepared, that our experience would be comparable. We were very wrong. The cabin was very very dirty and infested with bugs,(wasps, wolf spiders, centipedes, stink bugs, etc). It clearly had not been cleaned in quite a while as the dirt and dust on every surface was unreasonable and the cobwebs everywhere left us wondering when anyone had set foot in this place last, much less dusted or vacuumed… The bedding was just… Gross. Musty, smelly, moth eaten, and not something you’d expect for a place costing over $ 200/night. Apparently the cabin used to be a barn and was converted to a cabin(which we had no info about beforehand) so we were told we shouldn’t expect it to be «crisp and new». Not expecting either crisp nor new, but reasonably clean would be acceptable. We figured maybe the cleaning before our arrival had fallen through the cracks somehow because a few hours of TLC and it would have been reasonable but it was not! We attempted to do a thorough search to eliminate any bugs in the cabin and just accept the dirt, but even with the four flashlights we brought, we were unable to do much because the majority of the light fixtures in the cabin don’t work at all and there is no signage or forewarning that they do not work. NOTCOOL. If you have fixtures that don’t work, either fix them or let people know ahead of time that they will be blundering around in dark. We ended up leaving a night early after bugs being in our beds at night, and were refused a credit for just that one night we didn’t stay(we didn’t even ask for any reimbursement for the first two nights because we are reasonable). We are skilled drivers and have a good sense of direction, so the crudely drawn«map» we were given at the first location we managed to sort out, but I can imagine people who aren’t accustomed to treacherous back roads like we are would possibly have a hard time navigating their way to this cabin. Looking around online once we arrived home it is really hard to find any info on this cabin and after reading other negative reviews from people who had similar experiences there, we are not surprised and know we are not alone in feeling our reasonable expectations were not off base. Buyer beware!!! If you’re fine with«extremely rustic» i.e. #youmayaswellsleepoutside then go for it! Would not recommend to anyone we know! And this is the first negative review I’ve ever left in my life, btw.

We stayed in one of the cabins for our honeymoon weekend. At first we didn’t think our tiny car would make it up the mountain and gravel roads, but it wasn’t too bad. Though we will bring the 4Runner next time! The cabin was beautiful, secluded, and very romantic. A bit dusty around the edges, but otherwise it was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I went here for our first time and we loved it! We had wanted to go to Tennessee for a while. and it was the perfect Autumn vacation for us. I recommend Abrams Falls to hike, and to try out the ziplining for adventures. The owner Janis was very nice and polite! The cabins are not luxurious, but they’re cozy and clean.

Fraudulent hotel! Booked a bed and breakfast cabin for New Year in Cosby. It was listed as a luxury cabin in Creekwalk Inn in Cosby and was the most expensive accommodation on the booking website. After having me checked-in they sad that the cabin is…30 miles away!!! I spent 2 hours trying to find it and when I came there it was HORRIBLE! Dirty and disgusting. Like a bordello, that has never been claned :-/ When I booked they promised wi-fi, but even my cell phone to work I had to go 5 miles from the cabin! To have a breakfast I had to go 30 miles back! So I refused to stay there and they promised not to charge my Credit card. BUTTHEYDIDCHARGEME $ 800 for 3 days!!! And I didn’t even stay there! I had to search for another place to stay for New Year and as it was Dec 29-th, all I could find is a hotel for 1 night, and then I had to search again. Totally spoiled vacation. Now they refuse to return me my money! Horrible people! I have checked Better Business Bureau, and they have 5 claims there for charging people illegally! SAVEYOURMONEYANDKEEPAWAY!

We spent our honeymoon here, we LOVED it. Janice is awesome. You feel at home. The food is amazing, the rooms are clean, they have free range horses, what more do you want. We actually spent part of our honeymoon hanging out with the owner while she washed dishes. LOL, she was such a doll. We want to go back sooooo badly. We miss home! The owner actually sent us an email saying, come home soon!

I am a youth minister and took my kids to the Extreme Winter Conference in Pigeon Forge. I rented one of the whisperwood cabins because I only have 5 kids in my youth group– two sibling pairs. My husband and I chaperoned the trip and since we have such low numbers it costs the same for us to rent a cabin– and is a bit cheaper if we have somewhere that we can prepare food. It also keeps my kids away from all of the youth group fun of sneaking out through your patio to meet people from other youth groups. I was a little concerned with the way it went down when I rented this place. The website wasn’t working correctly. I had to check in at a different location than where it was and everything was handled in a very mom-and-pop way. It was also MUCH less expensive than other cabin rentals and was available at the last minute. It was so perfect for what we needed it for though. Two of the kids had beds to themselves. The kids liked playing in the woods around the cabin, there was a hot tub, and the kids loved that(you had to control the heat from under the porch it was way too hot when we got there). They had everything we needed for food prep. It was surrounded by all of the other rental cabins. This is not where I would stay for a luxury vacation. It is definitely where I would stay for a similar situation, or if I wanted a less expensive option to get to the mountains for a trip with friends or family.
