I stopped at Perkins after a long road trip from Allentown PA. It was May 8th ’16. Big mistake !! Mother’s Day. 6:15pm hungry, tired and road weary. Had a very sweet server. I could tell she was frustrated and very busy. I made up my mind to be patient. 30 minutes after receiving a menu she came to take my order. Another 20 minute wait I gave up and checked out without a meal. 50 minutes of waiting pushed me over the edge to frustration. I will not stop there again, ever ! Good luck to those who stop there. Hope you get served !

A little pricier than the rest of the breakfast places around Cortland but well worth it. Got two eggs and bacon with lemon and blueberry flavored pancakes, the pancakes were delicious. My friend got home fries with eggs and ham mixed into it, she really seemed to enjoy it. There’s coupons for Perkins all over Cortland so if you do come across one, try it out!

The food is good and the service is always great when I some in early on the weekends for breakfast. It’s zero outside but about 75 in the cozy booth here. The omelettes are tasty!

If I owned a restaurant and was to hire a hostess I’d hire someone perky, welcoming, happy. I’d choose someone with a stellar smile, good people and conversational skills, excellent time management… This particular Perkins chose to hire someone who reminds me of Miss Almira Gulch, Dorothy Gale’s neighbor in the wizard of oz… I believe be young lady is names Rikki and her name tag labels her as Head Hostess but the girl seemed to be irked that we were coming in to breakfast and had the nerve to hope shed give us a seat. Aside from that, attentive waitstaff and decent food, although it often takes forever to come from the kitchen.

Really good food at decent prices and service is generally good. Ambiance is bland(it IS a chain). Plenty of parking. This is a popular place so on anything like a special occasion(Mother’s /Father’s day) it fills up pretty quickly. My wife and I go there several times a year both for breakfast and for dinner and I don’t remember our ever having any problems except for fairly minor service glitches. The food is always good. They have a sausage and biscuit sandwich for breakfast that is as good as any I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten down South a lot and am a big fan of sausage and biscuit sandwiches so that’s saying something. You get two at a time and they’ll fill you up all by themselves. I usually take one of them home if I have any hope of eating any of the rest of my breakfast. The muffins, pastries, and pies that they sell are terrific and we often get a few muffins to take home. The pies are a bit expensive as I recall but the one time I got one I loved it.

I have only been in a Perkins once. The one near my house is very mediocre. So, I wasn’t expecting much when we pulled off the highway to eat here. Our waitress was outstanding — friendly, competent and attentive. The place is very clean, and all of the food was very good. We stopped in for lunch. Very reasonable prices. Even the bathrooms were clean. Still not going back to my local Perkins, but I would stop at this one any time! Seat cushions on their booth benches could use some refurbishment — that’s the only negative thing I can think of.
