Came to the store very excited to get some cookies but they were atleast 3 days old and felt like candy bars with no taste. Very let down.

I ordered the little apricot cakes a few days before Christmas and finally received them on January 9. There were only eleven in the box, which was supposed to contain twelve. They appeared to be unbaked, and they crumbled when I tried to cut them in half. Most disappointing of all was that there was no apricot flavor. All I could taste were the pecans.

I ordered the Regular Size Deluxe fruitcake in late November, asking for it to be delivered for Christmas. I checked the FedEx around 12⁄10 or so, and it was confusing, saying that the item was damaged, but also saying that it would arrive 12⁄16. I checked every day, still saying 12⁄16. 12⁄16 came and went, and FedEx just said that it was ‘pending’. I finally called Collin Street bakery on 12/21, talked to a VERY helpful girl, who apoligized, and said that FedEx had never notificed them, but the merchandise was damaged. She promised to get me the cake before Christmas. To my surprise, it arrived the very next day, 12⁄22! The cake is small for the amount of money it cost, but totally worth the price for a ‘once a year’ Christmas purchase. It was loaded with pecans and cherries, and absolutely delicious. It did not have that ‘citron’ garbage in it that most fruitcakes contain, and reminded me of fruitcake that I had as a child back in the 1960’s. I will definitely order one again next year, and keep an eye on FedEx, and call sooner if I notice a problem. Delicious fruitcake!

Horrendous customer service. My order never arrived. I tried calling on 12⁄28 to verify delivery on 12⁄31 but the entire operation was shut down before Christmas. The phone message thru 12⁄31 still referenced closed for Christmas. They would be back in the 28th but must have never turned on the phone. Today all of the phones just ring without answer or go to fast busy. Retail store employees cannot help. Email to customer service since the 28th are not being answered. I just want a credit to my account and promise to never be solicited again. I thought the McNutt clan would have learned after the Jenkins fraud scandal. It is a wonder they have any customers.

We have been getting pecan /fruit cakes via mail order for many years, and it seems the fruit cake was pretty good about 5 – 6 years ago. Just got an apricot pecan cake, and I am sure you would enjoy it if you enjoy eating corn syrup. It is very sweet and has the consistency of uncooked bread dough mixed with honey. To be fair, it does have apricot chunks and some sugar covered pecans, and is quite moist. The ingredient list has some type of sugar for ingredient numbers 3,4,6,11, and12, ie corn syrup, sugar, invert sugar, honey, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup solids, for 5 grams of protein and 56 grams of carbs, natural and artificial fla

I absolutely love Colin Street Bakery! They invented mail order cakes and have been around for over 100 years so you know they are doing something right! I ordered their famous classic fruitcake after years of my boyfriend trying to convince me to get it and I am so glad I did! I’ll admit I was very skeptical at first. Mostly because I have tried other fruit cakes that were pretty gross. When you first think of fruitcake you don’t usually think of it as being enjoyable or even that good. This fruitcake is something special though! These cakes are also great as a mail order gift you can send to your friends and loved ones as well. I ordered mine online and it arrived the next day on my doorstep! I would recommend anyone to at least try this famous desert at least once in your life.

Stopped in for a break while traveling from Houston to Oklahoma. We ordered chicken salad on lettuce, hot coffee, hot Turkish mint tea, fresh cut fruit. All were devoured and enjoyed. Pros: Clean restrooms Friendly service– esp store manager Multiple lines for quick ordering Food came out quick Desserts looked amazing! Cons: Need more gluten free and sugar free options :)
