If you are awake you will realize the place is a greasy spoon. Nothing is fresh, if you know your Strudel. I hope the health Dept. is doing their job !!! Place is empty almost all the time. If this place is anything over one star, there is a crook somewhere. Pat Gil-​corpus Christi, Tx.

We got there at 4pm on a Sunday This place was not impressive. The entire parking lot was empty. The sign said they were open until 6pm. However When we walked in, the employee told us they would be closing in 10 minutes. The restaurant was empty. The food had already been put away except for the strudels, which looked awesome.
We left, obviously they didn’t want the business.

I drove by and saw the open sign lit up but once I pulled in, I realized they closed 10 minutes prior and the lady was in the process of turning off the sign. She waved me in and happily waited on me. I had the apple strudel which is delicious.
Thank you for your great hospitality… it truly made my week!

This is my absolute favorite place whether to grab something quick for a snack, lunch, or if I am wanting to crave a sweet tooth with their amazing strudel. There Reuben sandwiches are to die for and the pear strudel and coconut chocolate strudels are my absolute favorites. I definitely recommend this place to everybody. You will be happy you chose it!

If you are looking for good, you have found it. Just get the kids and go for a great selection of great pastries, strudels, sandwiches, cookies, and the best coffee around and even better service. It just felt like we dropped in at a friend’s house. If we are anywhere in the area, we will definitely return.

We ate here for breakfast this morning. It was alright. We are from out of town, and didn’t know they had a larger branch. The service was good and very friendly. The server was telling us that everything was cooked at the larger bakery and brought over. This is exactly how it tasted. I got a ham and cheese bretzel and it was good but I think it would have been spectacular fresh, not reheated. My husband got a meatball strudel and said it was cold in the center but if they’d heated up anymore it would’ve dried it out even more. We maybe back to try the desserts but won’t be having breakfast there again. My advice: if you have to heat it try the actual german bakery.

I have to give them 5 stars for the prices. Just have to. I’m not sure what the special was one day, but I got a chicken streudal with some spatzle (?) and a piece of bread all for $ 4.

this is a great little branch off from The German Bakery and I love that its in town and not all the way on the island, but I hate that you never know what they will have. Its hit or miss if your going for one item.

Everything was amazing. Perfect texture and taste. The sauerkraut, potato salad and blueberry strudel stood out as my favorites. Highly recommend! Just like my German Oma used to make. Wow.
