Chris y. Quickdraw bbq has been closed for a few months(I suppose, since I used to be an employee there) The owner left town and has been unreachable when myself and another employee were informed new owners decided to skip town, on a Friday morning on our way to work. Unfortunately, the owner is what ultimately failed this buisness.

I was really looking forward to eating here since the reviews were so great. I was just passing through town without much time, so I was very disappointed to find that they were closed on Wednesday at noon, with no explanation. Their posted hours are 11am-6pm. I read it off of their sign as I stood there hungry and sad. So I turned around and went to Hoegemeyers BBQ Barn which was phenomenal.

Excellent is not a good enough description to describe this place! Mouth watering brisket cooked to perfection. Beans that were as good as homemade. Potato salad that was not watery or too spicy. Simple menu, no BS! This is a throw back to good olé fashion service and high quality food. Will be back here every time I am in Corpus Christi!

Best BBQ in a 50 mile radius maybe 100, the brisket is perfect. Just enough smoke and tender, no sauce needed for this meat, it’s competition worthy no doubt, had a country style rib that was amazing, this guy is a master in my opinion smoke is spot on, the rib was so tender it melts in your mouth. Again no sauce needed, the meat needs no help, the beans and rice are really good as well. Do yourself a favor and try this place it is hands down best BBQ joint in town

The brisket was great the sauce was excellent. I found the potato salad and beans were nothing special. The food was handed to me with a plastic spoon and no napkins I did not like that. Service was fast and courteous.

It is ALL good! The brisket Cook for 14 to 16 hours. The potato salad was awesome as well as the beans. They toast the Texas toast so it is a little better than most. And the people are nice. What else is there to say? It’s a good place for really good food. It’s a small up and coming bbq joint. I hope they get local support and are here when we come back to town!

This place was incredible, very very good. They need to open a location in the Mission or Mcallen area as there really aren’t any good BBQ places in the Rio Grande Valley. The different sauces here had a North Carolina style and Kansas kick to it, very good sauces. The meats were perfectly cooked also, we had the chicken and brisket. Very moist brisket, great smoke ring. We will be back for sure!

Best BBQ in Texas– amazing sauce good prices — great atmosphere if you love quaint places with more effort put into the food then the chairs

The BBQ is so amazing here, but the sauce, omg the sauce. The sandwiches are good and so are the sides. I just wish they had more tables with umbrellas.

I cannot use the word best enough in this review! The friendly staff all around that makes you feel welcome is great. The brisket is simply the best I have ever had. STOPWHATYOUAREDOINGANDGOHERE! I had the two meat plate and my wife had a sandwich. We both walked away feeling full but wishing we had room for more.

I have lived in Texas my whole life so it goes without saying that I have had my fair share of BBQ… And I can say that, without a doubt, this is the BEST I have had. The brisket is melt in your mouth amazing. The sauce is tangy, savory and sweet… Everyone was so nice and Chef Brian was kind to my kids… Couldn’t ask for more! We will come back whenever we are in town.

First time in Texas and was excited to try some BBQ. Came across this place and saw the stars so knew it was the place to try in Corpus Christi! How did I know it was worth the stars? The smokehouse is on the premises. The brisket was delicious and the potato salad and beans as the sides were quite tasty. You can eat inside, there’s air conditioning! Or you can sit outside. They had some good tunes playing as well. The inside is fun and unique. A great place to grab some grub. The owner, Brian, was awesome. He checked on us and made sure we didn’t need anything. If you’re in Corpus Christi, be sure to stop by!

Have you ever had bbq by a chef? That’s what you experience here. The best bread I ever had on a sandwich. The brisket was moist and sauce delicious. We got there after the lunch rush and got an opportunity to speak with the chef and the waitress. Very nice. The food was worth the review but the customer service was beyond expectations of a 5 star.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in a long time. However I felt that Quick Draw BBQ deserved this review. The food at Quick Draw BBQ is excellent! The chef really puts his heart and soul into the product. The brisket is perfectly cooked, the meat melts in your mouth. The flavor is well balanced, not too smokey, the bark is tremendously flavorful and unique tasting. This is honestly the best brisket I have ever tasted! The meat can be enjoyed with or without sauce. I know, some folks think it’s a crime to drown your meat in sauce. I tend to agree. But that being said Chef Brian has created an amazing sauce. I honestly can’t adequately describe this sauce other than saying it’s tangy with a complex taste. The sauce and the meat together deliver a taste that is totally over the top. His sandwiches are also outstanding. This is a place where the chef pays attention to every little detail, including the bun. His buns can stand up to massive amounts of meat and sauce without falling apart in your hands. It’s incredible. If you’re looking for the best BBQ in Corpus Christi(or in Texas) for that matter. This place is at the top of my list!

Let me start by saying I am a vegetarian and not particularly a fan of bbq places. I make an exception here. Brian, the chef, was so considerate of my situation he came up with abbq cheese quesadilla for me that was beyond incredible. My husband hurt himself he ate so much and he is a pretty big eater. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as it was not in all the hustle and bustle of a lot of other places traffic wise. You really can just literally chill out here.

Excellent sliced beef sandwich on sourdough bun! Its some of South Texas best«Q» bar none! Its small but its really a competitor here in Corpus. Every Tx town has that little spot with few amenities and great food. This is THAT spot! Babyback ribs on Fridays are on my list next visit.

I meant to write this review sooner. Sorry I didn’t. While driving around CC on business, I was craving good barbecue. However, I didn’t feel like having any of the usuals found in Texas(Rudy’s, Bill Miller). I just so happened drove by what appeared to be a run down gas station recently converted to a food truck minus the wheels. The smell from the lingering smoke was enough to get my attention. I walk up to look at the menu and I see that it’s a simple place. Two guys serving up barbecue. They have plates or sandwiches. I went with a double meat sandwich with two sides. The chef threw in a sample of his Texas chili. Holy cow! Everything was delicious. The three items that really stand out are the brisket, chili, and beans. Do yourself(and me — because I want to make sure they succeed so I can enjoy their BBQ when I’m in town) a favor and try them out. As an aside, I love making chili. The chef sat at the picnic table and we mused the art of chili making for a good 15 minutes. Really cool guys on top of serving up some amazing BBQ.
