I am Lebanese and I love your Deli and Mrkt. The food is so authentic, and is so like my own cooking. I have had Lebanese Quisine all my life, and I love to go out and enjoy the food once in awhile. Love your place. The staff is very polite, and it is clean here. That is of utmost importance to me. Nina B

I love this place, my classmate invited some of us to go saying he knew the owners and he enjoyed it. I had never even been to this part of Everhart so I’m glad my classmate told us about it. I had never really had Middle Eastern food either, thankfully this place exists! The staff was super friendly and every time I go the owner remembers me which is very sweet. I’ve introduced about 3 – 4 people to this restaurant since I’ve been. It’s that good, their chicken tikka is delcious as are their gyros and desserts. If you would like a change of style please go here. You won’t regret it.

Allways good! Lamb shank is spot on. Great gyros with plenty of meat. Seasoned fries are hot and fresh. Homemade Greek salad dressing done right. Bring a friend and share or take your parents for lunch. Saturday’s they do chicken biryani(Indian). Thursday is lamb shank day!

Great location, very clean bright atmosphere, wonderful and efficient staff! My husband loves the Gyro plate here. They roast their lamb on the spit, making tender and juicy lamb strips, not to mention they serve large portions of it. They feature daily specials from different Meditteranean cuisines and they’re all delish!

Food here was excellent, service was fast and friendly, and price was very fair. I had all vegetarian lunch and it was honestly some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had.

I really enjoy going to the market here. I find many spices to complete my weird kitchen creations. I have been meaning to stop next door for a while to try the restaurant but always kept going. I am sure glad I stopped there last night. It was nearing close so I was lucky they had some of the special left. Very lucky! It was Butter Chicken and it was fantastic. I admit I like heat and spice and this was tame on the heat Dept. But the spice was on point and the chicken melted in my mouth. I had opted for Na’an which is extra so, cheapskate that I am, I stuck some of my chicken in my Na’an and rolled it up Corpus Style. I made it less than three miles from the restaurant before taking a bite of my Butter Chicken Burrito, lol. If you like good food and down to earth, good people stop by and try their food. They have a special each weekday and some tasty looking desserts. Thanks so much for the food! I cannot wait until it is Butter Chicken night again. PS– Sorry about no photo of the food. I thought about it but I couldn’t put down my fork. It was that good!

This is the food I grew up eating. I love the Middle East Market & Deli and I eat here regularly. All the recipes are authentic and delicious! There isn’t anything I don’t like. This is one of those places where no matter what you get from the menu, it’s a winner. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options too, which is uncommon in Corpus. Prices are cheap! Especially for the serving sizes. Be sure and get dessert as well! The walnut baklava is AMAZING!

One of my new favorite restaurants in CC. The gyro plate is massive. It’s a build your own with a side Greek salad.

If you’ve had Middle Eastern food outside of Corpus and want to duplicate the taste, this place is excellent. About $ 10 for a main course meal(my choice was Chicken Tikka, which is served as two kabobs, on a bed of seasoned white basmati rice with pita bread), which is pricey when you add the drink, so expect to pay $ 12 – 13 per person for dinner. But once you taste the food, you’ll want to come back. They have less expensive items as well. I’ll have to try them again and rate those later. You can purchase alcohol at the market(convenience store) next door, which is attached to the deli, but I don’t think you can bring your beer to drink while eating. There’s an explicit sign on their deli door stating that outside food or beverage is not allowed. I’m unsure if that means from their market, as well. Might be an issue with alcohol licensing, but I did not see any alcohol for obvious sale at the deli.

I came on the first weeks they opened so they did not have as much selections as they do right now but I tried their lamb kebab with rice and it was really delicious. My friends got some samosas and they were delicious! A wonderful coworker of mine actually brought me some chicken biryani which they have only one Tuesdays and Saturdays, and it was very good. Just a disclaimer, though, this is not Hyderabad-style chicken biryani. It is a lot less spicy and it has some nuts and raisins on it, but overal good flavor!

This is my new Go To restaurant in Corpus. The people are so friendly, place is impeccably clean and the food is amazing and mostly healthy. I love Baba Ganoush and they have maybe the BEST and freshest I have ever had. The falafel was perfect, bread prefect. I cannot wait to try everything on this menu. I’m sure that will be done by end of the month. LOVEIT

I have to admit Corpus Christi has moved forward. As one tired of the corner Jalisco and taqueria this is an excellent restaurant. Used to Dimassi’s in Houston I was spoiled. This is a real middle eastern restaurant. I really appreciate this restaurant. Gyros and swarma and falafel r excellent…

I found a gem with this place. Their food is delicious, and the staff is really friendly. I first bought ingredients at the market side, I was really surprised by their selection of spices, and I will definitely go back to buy more. On the deli/restaurant side, I had a falafel wrap with seasoned fries. There was a sauce on the falafel wrap that was super tasty. I would order that again. The next time I went, I had hummus as an appetizer– super delicious, I love hummus! They gave me a sample of the babaganoush & tabbouleh, both were really good– but the babaganoush was probably the best I’ve ever had!!! I also had the chicken tikka, which was perfectly spicy. It had a really good cilantro chutney with it. Love this place & can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

Middle East Market & Deli; 5405 Everhart Road;(361) 854‑9445 I love Gyros. I honestly believe in a past life I was living in Jordan living on Gyros. The closest place that I knew of with good Gyros was Demo’s up in San Antonio. Every time I wanted a great Gyro, I’d have to go to San Antonio. Then I saw a commercial for Middle East Market & Deli and I had to try it out. I am so glad I did. The market is small but packed with yummies from the Middle East and spices galore! I will be doing some of my regular grocery shopping there. I tried the Tabuli and the Gyro from their Deli and they were just amazing. But even better was the Burma I had for desert. It’s a pistachio/filo dough pastry and it is just divine. Their prices are really reasonable. Go and enjoy!

Great for hard to find Levantine and Persian specialty items and fresh pita! Small and divish, the exterior of this Middle Eastern Market doesn’t seem so promising, but a step or two inside reveals a broad selection of hard-to-find specialty ingredients I’ll need to make Levantine meals in my new Corpus Christi home! I attended university in Jordan and fell in love with the Levantine cuisine. Now that I have relocated from the DC area to a small coastal town in South Texas, I thought finding these ingredients would be difficult to find and prohibitively expensive. I’m delighted to be wrong. Finding the MEM& deli lets me introduce my family to the world on a plate. The shelves are burgeoning with all manner of ethnic goodies from Persian to Arabic, Greek, Turkish, and Indian. I scanned the aisles and took in several types of rice, 5 and 7 spice, kafta seasoning, pine nuts, tahini, frozen bamiyah, phyllo, biryani paste, hamidh, tea, pomegranate molasses(you haven’t lived until you’ve used it in your pork loin marinade!) and lebneh. I was less impressed with the deli-made tabbouleh, but it seemed a trifle in the grand scheme of things.

Delicious flavors of the Middle East, Greece, and India. We eat here at least twice a week and try to get something different each time. So far not one bad meal yet! Service can be a little slow if it is busy but for the most part the friendly staff will have your food to you in minutes.

The Middle Eastern Market(MEM) is a gem! The MEM serves delicious gyro and shawarma. The MEM is also an exceptional grocery. Need true Indian basmati rice? Need black salt? What about asafetida? They got that! While you’re at it feed your addiction for sweets with homemade pistachio baklava or a pack of Parle-G. I love this place!
