First time going to this place and I loved it! Prices were moderate and the food smelled good before I even went into the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the wait time was under 5 minutes. We went into the smoke shop side of the restaurant and were greeted by an employee that knew his stuff. The atmosphere was great and cheeky. Hemp facts and memes everywhere. Their food was different, I had a bur-weed-o called«the Fatty,» love that marijuana humor. The burrito was nice and stuffed with pepperoni, brisket, and cheese, it also came with a lovely sauce that I can’t get over. This place is amazing, it’s in a good spot, but I wish they could expand or at least get more parking. I had to park in the back, which apparently doesn’t belong to them. My friend had to park at the funeral home. Overall nothing to complain about with this restaurant. Would 100% recommend.

Went in last night with a very large party and everything was beyond fantastic! I wish I could give 10 stars. Everyone was very pleased with their food and everything came out fairly quickly considering how many we had. I recommend everyone try Joint Venture! Even our ultra conservative great-grandparents of the group loved it!

Came here and saw a variety of sandwich selections which all looked pretty tasty. I ended up getting the Pot of Gold sandwich and was actually very satisfied with it. When I came into the shop, I had no idea it was a smoke shop, but I soon realized it after noticing there were cannabis leaf portraits all over the walls and on the TVs. To the left of the store are a wide selection of bongs to collect or buy for leisure. Nevertheless, the food was good, would def go back to try more sandwiches.

Admission: I have a lot of trouble getting excited about most sandwiches. In general if it doesn’t come from a Jewish deli I find sandwiches ho-hum. So when my father in law suggested we go to a sandwich shop, and then I drive up and see it’s also a «smoke shop» I was prepared to be highly unimpressed. When we entered the building the school cafeteria furniture and cannabis posters really didn’t help the feeling of dread, envisioning a bunch of pot-heads slapping together some meat between slices bread while popping cheetos in their mouths and giggling. I stared at the menu for a long time trying to decide what I could order that wouldn’t suck. I went with the AK-47 and swapped out the tarragon aioli for cherry. I will admit I was expecting more of a jam than a flavored mayo. I also ordered the pasta salad. I will admit when I’m wrong about something, and I was wrong about this place. That sandwich was delicious. Probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had that didn’t come from a Jewish deli. The«jalapeño cornbread» really should be called«bread made with some corn and not enough jalapenos to be spicy» — it’s got the texture of regular bread, not the dish cooked in a casserole dish that people call cornbread. It was a delicious bread though — I enjoyed it lightly toasted how it came and it even tasted great the next day cold out of my fridge — not at all soggy like most refrigerated sandwiches end up being. I liked the ham the best of the meats on the sandwich. The veggies were fresh and complemented the sandwich perfectly and though I usually stay away from mayo for health reasons, damn that cherry mayo was perfect on this sandwich. The pasta salad was pretty good but I’d skip it next time because the sandwiches are far too big to eat in one sitting. At least the AK-47 is anyway. They also serve Maine Root sodas in a bottle. I had only ever had them previously out of a fountain and I have to say… the Maine Root Mexicane cola tastes WAY better out of a fountain. The bottled versions taste like off-brand Dr. Pepper… way too much prune. I’d skip that cola and get water or one of the other flavors of soda. Prices here are good esp. considering size and quality. The AK-47 is one of the most expensive sandwiches but it’s a huge triple decker. Most are $ 6 – 7 and some are even $ 5. Service was also good — I had questions about the menu and they were happy to answer them. It’s not table service but these folks do care about their business and customers. So, I have to say my first impression was very unfair and Joint Venture is terrific! One of my favorite places in Corpus Christi now, that I’ll have to visit at least once every time I come to town.

We recently went to Joint Venture, a sandwich shop in town that is known for their homemade hemp bread and flavorful sandwiches. The aroma of fresh baked bread and good food hits you as soon as you open the door. We tried the Boo-Berry Lemon Haze sandwich. Thick, salty bacon, tangy pickled carrots and onions, freshly sliced turkey and provolone, spring salad, fresh tomatoes, and the dressings… Oh so incredible! They drizzle this sandwich with blueberry and lemon aiolis — sweet, tangy, unexpected awesomesauce! And of course, all piled on to the most amazing bread… a bread that can handle all of that food and sauce. You MUST try this sandwich! Na-na-notorrrrious. The Notorious BLT is the truth. The only time I’ve had better pork belly has been in places with stars on the door and waiters in waist coats. Brilliant idea and perfect execution. Wish I could come enjoy this place in the ‘proper’ frame of mind… Maybe next trip! Highly recommend. Get it? *ba-dum-ching*

This is an awesome little spot that I highly recommend if you’re into yummy sandwiches and not offended by the«legalize it» movement. We went for lunch around noon on a weekday and ordered the Hemp Style Naan, the OG Kush and the Trang. Loved the naan and the Kush(soft, fantastic bread!) but did not care for the Trang. The pork belly was too fatty for my taste, but it may be totally up someone else’s alley. The other flavors of it were good and unique, and I may like it better if I subbed out the pork belly for a different meat. It did take 20 minutes to get our food, which was longer than we expected for a lunchtime sandwich run, but we thoroughly enjoyed our food and are excited we found this place.
