The food was freshly prepared, hamburgers juicy, and the catfish was delicious. Staff was super friendly. This restaurant is family owned and operated. The owners were super friendly and asked to make sure that everything was alright. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we are back in town.

I have to say, I have not had one bad meal at Boardwalk Café. I’ve tried a variety of meals on their menu and each one comes out hot, fresh and tasty.
Today I tried their «Angry Bird» sandwich. It’s a blackened chicken breast filet on their signature jalapeño sourdough bun with pepper jack cheese, bacon and a kicked-​up cayenne mayonnaise.
It comes with the standard variants of sides and toppings but, if you REALLY want to spice it up some more (if you dare!), get the FRIED JALAPENOS on it! Oh my goodness! These are spicy, delicious little nuggets of GOTCHA that makes ANY burger or sandwich elevated to another level.
It all makes for a fantastic combination of flavors that you’ll want to come back for again and again.
As always, the service is über-​friendly and fast. Prices are excellent. You just can’t go wrong coming here.

De burger was excellent, fried catfish was great, tater tots edible, fries were cold, buffalo chicken nuggets were tasteless, and the fried shrimp tasted like antibiotics.

Had the chicken friend chicken, sweet potato fries and lemon cream cake for dessert. All was pretty darn good! I am glad I stopped in.

Great Food, generous portions, very reasonably priced. They deliver! I wish I had heard about this place a whole lot sooner. I will definitely be ordering from them again. Its the best kept secret around.

Amazing find, thanks to Unilocal!Super mellow homestyle place with all kinds of band posters from the 80s and 90s hanging on the wall. Super attentive and friendly service by multiple wait staff. I had the spaghetti plate ($ 7.50) with a side salad and some fresh bread. It was really good, totally homemade, and a nice change from all of the fast food choices in Flour Bluff. I can’t wait to take some friends there to impress them with my local find!

Great restaurant in a hole in the wall spot. My nephew told me about this restaurant for a while, and I never had a chance to try it out. Finally went today. Great food! I was very happy with the portions and the food tasted great! Definitely going to be making more trips to this spot!

This hole in the wall is a great find. I don’t know of anywhere else that I can get such great tasting shrimp at such a low cost. Also, hush puppies, very good. It’s got a retro, rock-​and-​roll feel, and our server (the owner’s daughter) was so cool and friendly.

Really great food, really great people. Went in on a Saturday evening, and was greeted at the door by the cook and the owners daughter. First time eating here and I was NOT disappointed! The chicken and dumpling’s tasted much like those that come from my grandma’s kitchen. My daughter had the hamburger steaks, and she LOVED them, as did my husband who tasted her left overs. The potato salad reminds me of family picnics when I was a child. It was the best I’ve had from any restaurant, or that I didn’t make myself. My husband said his bbq half chicken was good, which if you know him, means he really liked it. We fed the three of us for $ 20! The food tasted like it came out of your own kitchen from old family recipes. More people should check this little place out. Why not eat home made food for the same cost as any of the local fast food places? I will be returning to eat here often.

This is home cooking. Small place, decorated in music memorabilia. Awesome fresh food. Hamburgers, fried catfish, shrimp, enchiladas, turkey with mashed potatoes… so good. Woman who cooks, knows what she’s doing.
