Where has my Greenfield gone? Maybe it’s the nostalgia talking or that I’m seeing things through rose colored glasses or maybe I was too young to know better or maybe I was abducted by aliens to mystify me into believing something that isn’t real. No matter which option(except the last one) I miss the days when Rainhas was known as Greenfield. I am not knocking it in any way, but there were more options under the old name in terms of buffet options. Now you can mention how churrascaria’s are about the meats and not the buffet. I agree, but while only meat is good, it’s boring. The choices at Rainhas are a bit limited. Outside of the salad bar there are few side dishes and even fewer worth noticing. The old buffet had many items to choose from, but nothing more important or better than their fried mozzarella balls. They were heaven the size of a marble. Enough nostalgia, back to reality. On a standard day you will likely see a rotation of 10 – 15 meats. Beef, pork, chicken, etc. you will find it all there. Temperatures range from medium to well done, usually in the medium category. The amount has decreased since it came under new ownership. I don’t think they go around with the pig on a spit anymore which is disappointing, but I can understand how expensive that can be if a lot of it goes to waste. The grilled pineapple that passes by on occasion is a nice touch. It is a rare treat to see anywhere and it is grilled terrifically. Some nice grill lines and a juicy bite. The service is solid and quick to bring out drinks and other necessities you need at the time. Overall: 3 Stars If you are looking for a decent churrascaria in Queens, Rainhas is worth a visit for bigger event such as birthdays and anniversaries, but it is a bit pricey for a standard visit. It is a nice place for large events since there are a handful of private dining rooms and secluded areas. The restaurant is huge and can fits hundreds of patrons at any given time. The buffet is subpar in options and variety. I recommend sticking with the meat rotation. Good overall service, pay good attention to the customer needs. This isn’t Greenfield’s which is regrettable.

Rainhas is the best meat restaurant in Queens that I have been to. The food is super! Johnny is a great waiter. He knows what you want and gets it for you quickly. This place is really good!

If you’ve ever been to a Chinese dimsum restaurant, this is a place for you(but with steak). The workers would walk around and serve each table steak like dimsum style. They cut them into slices and give you as much as you want. They do have a salad bar and other foods like mashed potatoes, rice, chicken, etc. for you to get off your seat and grab. But i think most people come here just for steak. It is a very expensive all-you-can-eat buffet. A date for two would be around $ 100. And the base price is not including drinks and dessert! Overall, their customer service is on par. Their steak is amazing. I would come back again.

My experience here was amazing. My inlaws were in town this weekend and wanted to do a lunch before they departed, decided to come here and it was excellent. the meats they bring to the tables are all so good. I tried almost every option. The buffet food was also soo delicious and cooked with so much authenticity and was very flavorful. Not cheap buffet style, this was really cooked like a 5 star entrée. The interior décor was beautiful, my favorite was the waterfall panel on the windows. The red wine sangria was very good as well. Totally recommend this venue for a large group or even a date for two! 5 stars for sure:)

Wow very nice updated interior. I am have been coming here since February 2008. This is buffet style fine dining. The food is awesome. The only issue I had was with valet parking. The valet parking is suppose to be free, but I was given a hard time trying to park my own car and keep my car keys.

My experience here was nothing short of AMAZING!!! Boy oh boy was I unprepared for what the night held for me and our dinner party. The décor is very nice. It was love at first sight when my eyes saw the waterfall wall… oh my goodness I absolutely love to be around water although I don’t know how to swim lol… it soothes my soul. We had a party of 28 people for our friend’s surprise birthday dinner party. We had to wait in the front of the restaurant before we were seated because some of us were there early. I explained to the greeter why we needed to be seated before the guest of honor arrived and within twenty minutes we were seated when at least half of the guests had arrived which was definitely cool. When the birthday girl arrived, it was time for us to get our eat on. Now I still didn’t understand the dynamics of the restaurant. The salad bar is AWESOME! There were different meats, entrees and sides surrounding the salad bar. I’m thinking to myself after loading my plate, that the meat selection wasn’t all that. Oh how I was proved wrong within minutes after I started eating my food. A wonderful gentleman comes to my table with piping hot steak fresh off the grill on skewers, ready to give us sliced meat right at the table. Oh my goodness the amount of meat that was brought to the table made me feel like what did I do to be able to partake in this wonderful experience. Filet mignon wrapped with bacon, boneless chicken wrapped with bacon, sausages, fresh sweet corn, chicken wings, all kinds of beef fresh off the grill… AWESOME! All of the meat served was absolutely seasoned and cooked to perfection. When they brought grilled pineapple sprinkled with cinnamon to the table, we all fell in love all over again with Rainhas. All of the servers were awesome and very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be back soon.

Much too expensive!!! — I’ve been coming here for years since it was named«Green Field’s»(different owners), and the food has been good. I would say the meat choices/preparation are great! The salad bar, is also very good. The choices for the salad bar has, admittedly, decreased in variety over the years. The wait staff is great. They are cordial, and attentive. The drinks are also spot on if you like that sort of thing. I’m not a huge drinker, but I do love their sangria. CONS: The price is RIDICULOUS!!! I paid $ 80 for two people, during lunch time. Their base price does NOT include drinks, or dessert! For $ 33+ I would expect at least a glass of soda. Their selection has also drastically decreased over the years. The meat selection has become very basic(no longer boasts some more uncommon game such as Duck, Rabbit, etc.). The salad bar has also, sadly, dwindled. The dessert is also $ 5 per slice of underrated whatever you want. Sure, the base food is good, and you will be filled. But, for the price you must pay, why not go to a proper steakhouse(Uncle Jack’s or Peter Luger’s would be personal recommendations)? Bottom Line — The place has GOOD food. But, TERRIBLYOVERPRICED. If the price were lowered a. bit, or fit to include more than it currently does(I.e. justify it), then I wouldn’t complain. If you’re deciding to go here over, a steakhouse perhaps, take the steakhouse. Only go here if you are dying for a buffet of unending meat, and an OK salad bar. Once you finish eating, you’ll be satisfied, but will regret ever deciding to come to this place. Find a churrascaria that’s actually worth your money!!!

First off let me say I was teetering between three and four stars. The parts of this place that are good, are really good. The not so good parts kind of ticked me off. First the good. Very tasty meat generally properly seasoned and the server will make an attempt to accommodate individual likings. Ie: rare and a little fatty for me, medium well for my wife. The not so good. They always have a decent selection of meat, but prime time is the only time you get the really good stuff like fresh carved suckling pig, big beef and pork ribs on the bone, and other specialty items. Also good is a wonderful buffet salad bar that you can even have as a meal, it includes hot real food items also such as chicken masala, garlic chicken(delicious when not dry) soup, black beans, seafood salad, and probably 25 other items! Personally I like that model so much better than the places that come and pile your table with straight carbs. By the way major tip here! ASKFORTHECHEESEYBREAD! It takes a few minutes since they make it fresh and hot, it is amazing and so worth the wait. Good point? The price $ 35 for the full meal and just $ 25 for the buffet.(Dude it’s $ 10 don’t miss that tenderloin!) now the part that pisses me off and cost them a star? Despite the inexpensive price they then nickel and dime the crap out of you. I am OK with overcharging for alcohol, no included desserts whatsoever? I can live with it. What I cannot tolerate and one of the reasons I often go someplace else besides Rainhas? It is almost $ 3 for a teacup sized coffee, and they charge you on every refill including when they just top it off to heat it up. that is complete total crap. Charge me $ 6 and give me refills hell even a little bit more but the way they do it with no refillable beverages? Absolutely the one reason I sometimes avoid the place and stopped going there with groups of people when I would be picking up a bill. I don’t mind $ 200 in liquor on the bill, but $ 100 coffee and soda?

Came here last night w/a party of 7 people. The salad bar was ehhh okay. I was expecting to see more«Brazilian-Ish type of food» I’ve been to a few Brazilian steakhouses and I must say this is my least favorite one. The service was not great either. We had to wait an extremely long time for the guys to come around with meat. I felt like they weren’t paying attention to us. We had to actually speak to one guy and tell him to please come to us with well done meat. I wish we would have gotten his name. He was extremely attentive with us. And the ONLY one that actually took care of us. Smh. I don’t think I would come back here. Our waitress wasn’t all that either!

The place overall was clean and the service was on deck!!! I enjoyed everything from the buffet except the Eggplant Parmesan it was very dry. However they have a very nice selection of different dishes. My salad choices were awesome I had the kale salad and a blue cheese salad with bacon that’s just mouth bliss. Now let’s get down to the meat of this matter !!! We had the flank steak, steak sirloin, pork sirloin and the duck, everything was cooked to perfection and so full of flavor. The pineapple is rotisserie style coated with cinnamon and brown sugar. All I can say is yummmmmmy.

Came here with a group of 10+ 3 kids. The place easily accommodated us and the kids. Food — good variety of buffet food including soups, salads, hot dishes etc. They have some broccoli and some nuggets for the kids available too. The meats are good. There’s a range of steaks and chicken. I wish it was flavored more or they had some sauce to accompany it. All in all it’s quite entertaining. They have samba dancers that come around and you can get your picture taken with them.

I can’t come here… it’s not good for my fitness goals!!! So, as of lately I’ve been on my Brazilian food flow. I don’t believe an actual Brazilian is a cook, to be honest… I don’t think anyone who works here is Brazilian but who cares! I don’t have to travel to NJ to find Brazilian-inspired cuisine to make me happy, all because of RAINHAS! About 2 months back, a friend of mine introduced me to Rainhas, and I left super satisfied. Since then, I have returned to this venue a few times with my mother. First thing’s first… I love pineapple! So whenever the servers would pass by with Brazilian-styled pineapple I’d definitely make it known to slice up that bad boy. Furthermore, order their house special for drinks, the caipirinha, they make the best! Buffet has a selection of salads, pasta, fish, rice, etc. to choose from and a kid-friendly side bar(French fries, onion rings, etc.). For meats I really like the bacon wrapped chicken and the sirloin. Service is impeccable, there’s a lot of hardworking people here; cleanliness is also wonderful, beautiful venue! This would be a 5-star however I really have to leave it at 4 because I don’t believe this place to be authentically Brazilian… and I say that because the man that looks in charge(as I once saw him reprimanding one of his workers) was Asian? Lol, maybe he was born in Brazil… but who cares!

Came here for the first time after driving by this place so many times and seeing that the parking lot was packed. There is a buffet section and then the meats are brought to you at the table. They also have a salad bar. They bring different meats made three or four different ways(rare, medium, well etc.) Being a steakhouse kind of guy I wasn’t too impressed by the meat here. Their grilled pineapple and guacamole was pretty good. In my opinion I think it’s a little pricey for what you get.

3 stars because it wasn’t worth the $ 36. But 5 stars for service and the amazing pineapples. Not sure if it was because it was a Sunday but they didn’t have that many options and the guys weren’t going around as much. I’m not sure if I’ll go back to spend the money when I can go out and have a nice steak dinner for the same amount. But this was definitely a different experience and I don’t regret going.

About a year ago, my fiancée’ and I scouted out a few Brazilian steakhouses for our engagement party, and this was the one we decided on. The first time we came here we didn’t let anyone know our intentions to get a feel for this place. We were really impressed with the service, the cleanliness of the place and the simple yet classy décor. We just had our engagement party last week and I must say that Rainhas Churrascaria still did not disappoint. I had had a few email conversations with the sales manager Karina regarding our event. She was always very responsive, answered all of my questions and always encouraged me to contact her for any questions or issues. The day before the event we made arrangements to decorate the Rio Room(Private Room). On the day of the event… the staff was extremely accommodating and very hospitable. They were very professional and worked with us every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to work with in making the event a success. The staff was organized, the food was hot and on time, ready to be served to the guests. All the guests really enjoyed the food,(which is one of the reasons why we chose the place.) Finding a reasonably priced location for an event can be hard. Rainhas made our choice easy. I was truly impressed by the service, and the hospitality of the staff and the Team that worked there. The service was amazing… and they catered to every need we had… including setting up another table for our guests on short notice(we already had 102 guests). This is a great place to host an event… for a lot of people. They even have Valet Parking.

Food — 7 Décor — 8 Service — 8 Price — $$$ out of $$$$$ Parking around the restaurant is hard to come by, just use the free valet. Seating was swift for a party of 4 at 7PM, gets pretty busy past 8PM. Hot and cold buffet is amazing, great selection, fresh and eclectic. On one side you have fries, onion rings and fried plantanos and on the other, eggplant parm, stewed ox tail, shrimp 2 ways and more… Rodizio time, sausage(premio sausage sweet and hot), chicken and filet wrapped with bacon, slow roasted suckling pig(good, but stay away from the chewy skin), top sirloin(had better), roast beef, chicken wings, pineapple(good palette cleanser), BBQ ribs. What Rainhas was missing: Lamb(either chop or shank), skirt steak and weird stuff like chicken liver, hearts, gizzards etc. Beer selection was good, no indicator what’s on draft, it’s a good idea to ask. Wine selection is great, price is decent, $ 40 for a $ 12 retail Malbec. Mexican Coke made with cane sugar… Get one! Bill — Buffet for 4, 1 coke, 5 beers + tip = $ 240 Would repeat? No, this was my second and last time. If your party can eat, then by all means, go for it. Alternative — Rio Grande Churrascaria.
