Dempsey’s Sports Bar & Grill

Just moved to corona with my boyfriend and we took his friends to lunch here and it was our first time as well. It looked like a cool little place so we were surprised when we walked in it was nearly empty. The waitress came over took our drink order and changed the channel to the one we wanted. When it came to ordering food my boyfriend ordered breakfast and the rest of us ordered lunch. The breakfast came out first and we were told ours would be out shortly. We didn’t get our food until my boyfriend was completely done eating which was about 20 min later. Then someone ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, those didn’t come out of the kitchen for another 40 min. Overall it’s a cool little place with great potential but just terrible management really.

Wow… never thought I’d give a one star, but the experience was excruciating to the point that I thought I was in a time warp for «You are on Candid Camera» (yeah, I’m that old).
Bottom line was that we were the only table in the place and it took 50 minutes to get our food after we ordered and other than the steak, the food was damn near inedible. I’m not picky, but between the time it took to get the food, the poor quality, wrong sides, and the lack of providing utensils, I was embarrassed to have picked the place.
There were credits offered and excuses given, but no chance I ever go back. I really don’t like to be put in that position.

I was there Saturday night beer was nice and cold and the food wasn’t bad for a bar, service was good however we stuck around to see the band perform I could not believe how great these three kids played. The name of the band was called Psycho Punx they were awesome they played everything and there originals were very good also, they played everyone’s request. I hope they book them again so I can go back to see them perform there.

Visited for pool and a guys night. Nice tables. The beer is cold a decently priced. It was dead on a Friday night. There was one patron asleep on the bar. We walked in and death metal was playing which created a hesitant vibe. When we took over the box, it was like a record skipped, played guns and roses, Linkin Park metalica etc. The waitress was nice. She was forced to deal with the sleeping patron the male bartender didn’t want to deal with it. Two stars for cold beer decent prices.

I’m just reiterating what others have said, but honestly it can’t be stressed enough: the owner (Joe) is THE WORST. Truly a horrible person inside and out. He takes advantage of the young girls that work here because he knows they will put up with him since they need the money. He is the actual definition of a pig.
I work at another bar in Corona, and one night a young girl (maybe 25?) asked me to pour out here beer for her. I asked her why and she said because the man she was with would make her drink it. So I dump the beer and out comes Joe. He slaps the girl’s ass and says «let’s go baby!» She was clearly uncomfortable and it still makes me sad to think about. Another night he came in with his wife and they started physically fighting, yelling, and pushing each other.
One of our other bartenders used to work at Dempsey’s and she has even worse stories. Joe is a gross, sexist, 60 year old alcoholic and I don’t care what is bar is like, he is awful.

Awesome customer service. Beautiful and friendly bartenders and Tony (cook) is awesome. Good vibes.

So… I gave two stars because we’ve been here before and we have had OK service. Tonight we were receiving excellent service despite one bad issue. There was a large crowd and things got out of control, so much so that there was a fight outside the bar that resulted in gunshots being fired and the police, along with the helicopter came. This could have been prevented, but the bartender did not ask the person with the bad attitude to leave. This created an unsafe environment for everyone! After the gunshots I immediately asked for my card back, which took about 5 mins and left. Walked across the street to where I live and found several cop cars who surrounded the posse of fighters outside my apartment complex. Just what I was looking for!!! Add that on top of the fact that the owner is a jerk, and I don’t think I’ll be going here again. I’ll just walk a little bit further up the street to another place that does not have fights and gunshots in the parking lot.

Been back a few times since and havent had any issues. Wings and onion rings are great, like any other bar, individuals can get rowdy but were safe.

Great place, food is always excellent and the employees are very friendly and attentive to the customers. If i don’t watch football at home I watch it here.

LOVE this place. The service is awesome! Tiffany rock’s! !!! Food is off the hook. Cowboy burger, onion rings! Cold beer! Football! Screens everywhere!

The food and staff is great both times I have been here. NFL breakfast was Awsome and the burger is killer.

Came here for Thursday night football… not the best idea. Waitress was nice but food is bad. We ordered wings and the waitress said there weren’t any left and it would take 30 mins. We were ok with that… but they never came and the service was so bad we left. I don’t know why I’m writing this review because the owner probably doesn’t care… him and the waitress seemed pretty frustrated at each other.
Probably just go to this place is you want a beer.

Owner is extremely rude and treats the customers and employees horribly.
Don’t give him money by supporting this filthy place.

You have to come on Friday and Saturday Nights… Diana is an awesome Bartender and very nice on the eyes!!!

Confirmation: the drunk guy who fell and kept going in the kitchen is the owner. No wonder this place is such a wreck.

Dempsey’s more like Dumpsey’s
Not only did it take forever on the food, which was brought out at 3 different times for 5 people, our orders were wrong. One order took the longest, required no cooking as it was a veggie wrap, had nothing but lettuce in a rolled tortilla. The Ruben sandwich had carne asada in it (uh wrong). From the bar flies to the disgusting bathrooms and unprofessional workers who threw each other under the bus… it took two hours to eat dinner and leave. On top of it a bar patron that was drunk, came in and out of the kitchen, he ended up on the floor.

Dempsey’s is a great stop at any time especially after work. A lot of open space and you never feel crowded. Great drinks and food at a reasonable price. I also have to say if Liz is bartending you will not be disappointed. She is uniquely attuned to her customers and is definitely a plus for this establishment.

Fun place to hang out. Pool, darts, and pinball (I think). Owners always around to make sure things go smoothly. Good place to hang with friends.

It was okay. Small little joint, the live band is okay.

I love this place! Janiece is great and Joe the owner is a character. They have live music, Comedy Night every Tuesday (Eddie Jarvis is great), good food, 2 pool tables, a lot of tv’s with every game on and an
interesting mix of people. If you ignore the idiots, you will have a good time.
