We are«very long time patrons» of the Quiet Woman, and we have always loved the vibe, the quaint, cozy environment and the outstanding food! NOTTHISTIMEFORTHEFOOD!!! SODISAPPOINTED!!! Not like the good ‘ol days. I had lobster tail($ 55.00), flavorless and… was that a child’s portion?. I was appalled when she set the plate down, with 3 tiny asparagus, 2 carrot slices and the child’s portion of lobster. Bluewater Grill in Newport has an awesome lobster tail for way less $$ and excellent taste. My boyfriend had the swordfish which used to be the QW signature dish(maybe it still is). What? Where did the hearty thick piece of «signature» swordfish go? Instead, a thin small piece. Good thing he had a few pieces of garlic bread so he was not still hungry. Garlic bread is still excellent, Salad was small compared to days of past, and the lazy susan of condiments is still good. Should have had the soup and salad. Seafood bisque is still excellent. Sorry to say we checked the Quiet Woman off our list and won’t be recommending to others. Definitely not like when Tony and Michael owned it. 2 thumbs«DOWN» for the food! 2 Thumbs«up» for environment and service.

I have lived in Orange County for 15 years. I can’t believe it took me this long to go to the Quiet Woman. I loved the quaint atmosphere. The food was to die for. We had the roasted garlic and brie appetizer that is served with toasted pita. The brie was warm and gooey. I had the Chilean Sea Bass special. It was cooked perfectly, light and flaky. The QW salad comes with the meal. You are served a bowl of lettuce, tomato and cucumber then the put a lazy susan on the table with sprouts, carrots, croutons, bacon. You can pick what ever you like. On Mondays they have half off on bottles of wine if you get and entrée. To top it all off we had delightful service. Our waiter Brad was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. He selected the perfect Sauvignon Blanc for my friend. I can’t wait to go back!

I’m so disappointed that I even ate a meal at this restaurant. The service was absolutely awful. Brad, the waiter, brought all drinks at least 30 minutes after they were ordered. The food was COLD when it was finally brought to us. Not only that– Brad chased us down as we were getting into our car– and said we gave him«A LESSTHANGENEROUSTIPOF20%». Unbelievable! TAKEMYADVICE& save yourself the terrible meal and terribly service. Skip this place!!!

This restaurant has been in Corona Del Mar for many many years and unfortunately it shows in all the worst ways. The service is marginal at best and they have a few FUN rules like you can absolutely only bring in one bottle of wine NOEXCEPTION and my favorite rule is if you spilt your bill with the other guests they automatically put a 20% gratuity on EVERYONES bill at your table… WOW and these are the best qualities of the Quiet Woman restaurant… The drinks were sugary, the apps were barely average if you like overcooked food and the entrees were TASTELESS and OVERCOOKED too. My favorite part was the Apple Crisp with ice cream which was actually worse than the rest of the already BADBADBADBAD meal… My suggestion would be to completely remodel the entire establishment to get them current, the restrooms are BAD as well and then you have a view of the very old kitchen as well. If you are going to continue to serve bland food which is barely fast food quality you should charge bland prices as well…

This review is for the bar area later evenings. Really a nicer neighborhood hangout for after dinner and later. The garlic aroma that pervades everything keeps the vampires at bay. If you’ve been, you know. Very strong drinks, so please Über. Nice list of wines by the glass or bottle. Big mix of ages – 20s-70s, lots of couples, singles, and groups. We have met locals and friends – many regulars) and tourists. The band is fun(weeknights some good music, too). Very crowded, so expect a tight squeeze and even to stand in the entry. Rather like a suburban house party where everyone crams into the kitchen. Note: Older people who go out and dress up are not necessarily cougars and sugar daddies. We just aren’t quite ready for rocking chairs at 48. If you are 20-something and our age offends you, perhaps find a nice chain sports bar in Irvine, or a DJ place so you can relive your EDC youth.

I have to say we had a great time with other people in the bar and as we were leaving the manager, Brittany was extremely rude! I will not go back as she was very very very rude! The manager was a complete buzz kill, after spending $ 109 on our tab and living our waiter she came up to us and was very rude. Not sure what they consider customer service but this girl is very very rude or doesn’t like hot chicks hanging out in «her» bar so fine we will go elsewhere ! Bye! You’re very rude! No thanks! Girls hating on each other is so 1990. Needs new management !

Terrible. The bigger(fat) bartender wouldn’t serve me tonight, looked straight at me after asking for a bud light and shrugged his shoulders. I tip after my night of service and didnt tip off of my first drink a $ 12.75 vodka diet which was fine and totally reasonable but i don’t tip til the end of the evening for this exact reason. The guy serves me one time and doesn’t get a couple dollars do treats me like a piece of shit after that. I left with my group before even bothering with any more drinks, I’ve never been so insulted by a bartender in my life.

My wife and I are in Orange County on vacation, and we were looking for a local restaurant with some ambiance to enjoy with some friends. Our experience was very enjoyable at The Quiet Woman. Booked a reservation on OpenTable, which is always a nice option. We were sat immediately. The bar scene was pretty active for a Tuesday night. Our meal was exceptional. Two had Swordfish, one had Beef Tenderloin and one Chilean Sea Bass. All received solid reviews. We ordered and shared 3 desserts… the crème brûlée, the bread pudding and the banana-rama(the group’s favorite). There was a band playing a mix of country, classic rock and beach instrumental. Really good vibe. Service was extremely attentive and we were given great input and guidance on our selections. This place recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. If you are in the area, visit The Quiet Woman.

Came with friends based on their 25 years of being patrons. All I can say from my personal experience is Yuck! On the menu the burger looked good, especially with all of the toppings offered. So I order one up and it was so bad I couldn’t get 2 bites down. And I rarely ever push a plate away, but it was over cooked and the bun was very stale. Tasted like a cafeteria burger honestly. For the prices here I expected something at least edible… no way, didn’t get that.

Loved going back to one of favorite places in the 70’s and 80’s. When we were first seated, it wasn’t to our liking and they promptly changed us to a seat where I could see the football game that was on. Our service was great and the food was fantastic. My baseball cut steak was the best steak I’ve had in a long, long time! Next time we are in this area, we will be sure to visit again.

The Quiet Woman has become one of my favorite spots in the Corona Del Mar/Newport Coast area. There is something to say for history and the fact that this place has been around for a long time is meaningful. There are many great things about TQW. First off the décor and ambiance of the place are old school and classy. Even as you enter the restaurant from the outside, you come across a beautiful brick façade. The inside of the restaurant is well-decorated with interesting paintings and touches which create an intimate atmosphere. Some of the other excellent aspects of TQW are the customer service and the food. Waiters are always friendly and responsive. The food is fresh and tasty. If you’re looking for a unique experience, I’d recommend TQW.

Wow, what All our local friends raved about this friendly place, but we walked in ready to have a great girlfriend night and a very angry woman woman basically drove us away with her horrible treatment. What the heck, plus it smelled really bad in there. Ok… 3 hours later… She called and owned up to her mean service in a way that we all have to understand, so thank you and I look forward to coming back and experiencing the local faire!

Yes, the stories are true. The Cue-Dub is what it is: a place for older CdM folks to mix and mingle. Wait. I think I’m in the target demographic now. Anyway, age doesn’t really matter here. I would say that attitude does, though. If you come here looking for a good time, you’ll probably find it. We were here last night for a nightcap and wound up closing the place. We were able to get a table(I think it was around 1:15 am). The classic rock cover band was pretty good, as was the people watching. The beer selection wasn’t much, but we dealt with it. I am intrigued that people seem to like the food here. I wonder if they have a happy hour. That could be fun. Tip: you can cut through the server station from the dining room to get to the restrooms. Well, you physically can. I did. No one stopped me. Who’s up for a CdM pub crawl? QW is certainly worthy.

Douche Bags and Cougars, meet your Mecca. The Quiet Woman has been the watering hole of choice for overly scented 30 and 40-somethings and the blue hair women that love them for as far back as I recall. Located on PCH south of Mac Arthur in the upwardly douche-y CdM, just minutes away from OC’s douche kingdom — Newport Coast, there is a seemingly limitless supply of entertaining and self absorbed denizens to delight for hours. It is a nightly festival of hilarious egotism from over served customers that is simply not to be missed. If there is live music it gets even better! An OC icon if I ever knew of one. What to do: Order a drink(they make them stiffer than a new broom) and go find a great viewing spot with at least a 180 degree view of the bar and sit back and watch the magic happen. I have waken up the following morning with hurting sides from laughing so hard, it is really great. Bring ladies your age, they will have just as much fun and since the douches are hunting cougars the girls you bring may as well be in a gay bar. One regular(a true maven in sport Cougar collection) once told me that the other men were stupid about how they were going about scoring Cougars and that his patented method of «Parking lot Pickin’s» was really the way to handle business. He explained that you can save a fortune on drinks by waiting until just before bar close or even in the Parking Lot after bar close(thus the name) to kick your game and take an affluent spinster home for a nightcap. He then boasted that he had once parked his car at 1:45am and was still able to «close a deal». His favorite part of the method is that«some other jerk paid a fortune to liquor her up». Remarkable, right? The«Que-Dub» as it is locally known also features a full kitchen but I use it more like a personal comedy club and if the act sucks that night I can always walk up the street to a dozen other bars/gastro’s with better offerings in the food department. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by to see if the scene is sloppy enough to enthrall. The Que-Dub. A local legend.
