June 12, 2016 Sunday — 1PM for a treat 4 Adults and a kid Atmosphere — 4 stars Food — 3 stars Service — 2 stars Background — My parents wanted to take us out one more time before we left. The vacation went too fast. Atmosphere — Typical chain restaurant. Which includes tables that are way too close to each other. Food Drink — Just water as I had a lot of coffee at home already. Breakfast — My daughter and I both wanted the cinnamon pancakes but she only wanted a half over. They probably would have done two instead of four. But I decided to take two of hers for my breakfast. I took the bottom two pancakes so she could have the whip cream topping, yeah I know I a great dad. Really I just did not want the whip cream. The pancakes were as if a cinnamon roll and pancake merged. Which I love the idea. Pancake batter with large amounts of cinnamon drizzled with sour cream frosting. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. Gravy comes in a bowl. For two biscuits there was not enough gravy to soak them the way I like. The gravy was just there, not enough sausage and not hot enough. Service — Our waitress and the rest of the staff are super friendly. Probably helps that my parents know them as they are regulars. As for food delivery it was a mess. She was handing food to the wrong person. Meal items were split apart. My wife’s food had to be reordered from the kitchen as it never came out. Future — Probably as my parents love the chain restaurants.

Great prices. Food was pretty good. To be expected for a chain restaurant. Waitress was very attentive for first half of meal but towards middle she seemed to have disappeared. Waited for drink refill for quite some time. Meal ended she finally came around asked if we needed boxes and finally got our refills as check was brought out. Was a Sunday so I know it was kinda busy, didn’t look like there was much staff. Otherwise like I said, pretty decent.

Super slow service. Over an hour to get our breakfast. The manager blamed the previous manager as he has only been on the job for four weeks. The wait staff tried their best, but being under staffed caused major complaints.

It’s pretty crazy to see 3 people get seated 10 mins after me and they received their food and check before I even received my food! DISCRIMINATION at its finest! Will I ever eat at the chain. HELLNO!!!

My mom and i went to Bob Evans this morning and recieved horrible service. Pot roast hash was not as described or pictured. The manager argued with my mom that it was right and then said I see no green onions. So brought a small container of raw cold green onions on a hot meal. It was bad… Very bad. And worst is we were visiting from TX and heard good things. My mom is very nice and ate it, but it was upsetting to see a manager treat my mom so rude and arguing with her. Thankfully my mom just said thank you and the manager finally left.

Had the four cheese grilled sandwich and it was not my taste. I like the bread to taste buttery and grilled and it’s more pre packaged thick bread with cheese on it. Ice tea was good with free refills. Friendly, family atmosphere. Good staff. Tasty fries. Nice airy ambiance. Good for families.

What a huge bummer! Five of us went for breakfast and were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress brought menus, took our order, and then brought drinks. We didn’t see her again until thirty-five(35) minutes later when she stopped by to tell us our order would be right out. Five minutes later it finally arrived only to find out that multiple things were wrong. She blamed the errors on others who had plated the food for her, but when I looked on the receipt, it shows they plated it correctly according to what she had entered into the system… she was the one who had entered the order incorrectly into the system. The majority of the food was corrected pretty quickly, although a few things didn’t really matter so we didn’t bother mentioning it… we were too hungry to wait any longer. Then my teenage daughter found a gray hair in her food and she almost upchucked right then and there.(The manager did comp her meal, thankfully.) No drink refills and not enough cream for the coffee ‘cuz the waitress never stopped by other than to take our order and deliver our meals. Customers who were seated after us were done eating and left before we even got our meals. Last but not least, poached eggs at Bob Evans are not like everyone else’s poached eggs. They look and taste more like fried but are supposedly steamed or something first. Wish the waitress had told me that when I ordered them, but I guess she was too busy.

We were visiting NY for Valentine’s weekend. We decided to grab breakfast at Bob Evan’s. Our waitress had just enough time to bring us our food. She put it down and never asked if we needed anything. She just walked away. It would have been nice to have mentioned«Yes Ketchup and water Please!» We were not even halfway done with our food the waitress hands us our check and says«you don’t need anything else do you?» She walked passed us 10+ more times while we were eating(our glasses/drinks were empty) and never paid us any attention. Terrible service. The food was sub-par. And the orange juice is fake.

Lunch today with a friend and two other couples. Three separate checks; our waitress had no problem with that. Very busy entire lunch hour(including a busload) but everything arrived in a timely fashion. I had a Pick-2 Combo for $ 6.99: loaded baked potato topped with chopped chives, shredded cheese and bits of bacon; and broccoli cheddar soup. Choice of roll, biscuit, banana bread and one other kind of bread. I had biscuit; good texture, but the ones I make taste better. Butter on the side for everything. Taste was good, but not exceptional. One couple got chopped steak, mashed potatoes and gravy which also came with the bread – they got banana bread(lots of it!). My friend ordered pancakes with blueberry topping. Four huge pancakes! Could only eat half. Third couple – one got salad and the other, crepes with blueberry topping. Everyone satisfied, though no one raved about the food. I’d go back again ’cause as I said the food was good, service even better. Plenty of parking. Only negative: some of us wanted lemon with our water, but no lemon on the premises!

It’s a Bob Evans. They’re all the same … and that’s not a bad thing. I got breakfast and every bite was yummy. Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs. I also got a hot cocoa and it was surprisingly spectacular. It was a little heavy on the whipped cream, but the drink itself was incredibly chocolatey. Usually when I get hot cocoa in a restaurant, it’s watered down and just plain sad. Not so here! I’ll stop at any Bob Evans on my travels. This one did not disappoint.

We went there for a nice Sunday breakfast. Took over 40 minutes for our food and when it was delivered the eggs were runny, the french toast was still soggy like it barely was cooked, and the home fries were still crisp just like a fresh potato and not cooked. I expressed my concern to the manager. He supposedly took it all off the bill. We got up to the register and it costed me $ 30. For two chocolate milks, my husbands pancakes and sausage, and they still charged me for my breakfast!!! I told the cashier it was supppose to be off the bill all I got was a person looking at me like I had a third eyeball saying oh only a manager can do that, I said well the manager and he just stood there. So between being 7 months pregnant, starving, and pist off I left. I will not be returning ever!

We were traveling in NY and took a family member here for dinner. The service was fantastic; the food was absolutely horrible… nothing short of tasteless, processed food from cans. With the economy and businesses closing almost daily; I cannot believe this, or any Bob Evans is still open. I think hamburger helper would have been better. Stick to something that is fresh and slightly more expensive, rather than wasting your money and taste buds here.

I can’t recommend this place enough. The same good food as other Bob Evans restaurants, combined with a staff that is always friendly, attentive, and who will go the extra mile to make our visit memorable. If you’re in Corning or Painted Post, be sure to stop in.

If you should ever find yourself in Corning, N.Y. I strongly recommend this place as it’s a very nice family place to bring kids. Plus the food is good too!

My Dad and I stopped here for Sunday breakfast on the way out to a Buffalo Bills game. After a 10 minute wait, we were seated and ordered two hot coffees. The hot coffee was not too strong, nor too weak. The place was very busy, but the service was still decent. I got plenty of coffee refills(I needed them for the drive). I ordered the very filling Border Scramble Omelet(I had this Mexican omelet substituted with Egg Beaters) and served with home fries and biscuits. My Dad ordered the Lite Sausage Breakfast(Egg Beaters, one sausage link, wheat toast, & fresh fruit) from the Senior menu, which tasted okay. The bill came to just under $ 20.
