An update — a) the incompetence was localized to the subordinate staff to the Sears Hometown Store owner and the particular installer for Reliable Appliance Repair b) a district manager for SHS reached out to me(because of Unilocal review, not because of SHS owner), and made me feel as if my experience was subpar c) after 3 more business days, a different installer was sent out who was very good, and adjusted the dishwasher appropriately so the door is now centrally-aligned d) the district manager offered a Sears gift certificate for a fair amount(not enough to compensate our time, but probably industry-standard amount for«really bad experience») — I will post an update when I receive it. I am happy that my problem was eventually solved, and Sears Hometown Stores recognized the problem. I hope this helps you.

Very nice and helpful sales people! Always a pleasure coming here and much more convenient than having to drive out to Washington square.

WORSTPLACEEVER! If you don’t care about customer service this place might be for you. Had purchased over $ 2000 worth of product at this store over the last 6 months and today was going in to pickup a microwave I had purchased online. I walked in and told the guy at the desk I was there to pickup a microwave, he replied, «Do you have your email?», I said I had it on my phone, before I could finish, he interrupted«I NEED the PRINTED copy.» No offer of help to print in the office, no suggestions on a place nearby, basically no customer service. So I went to a Kinko’s I found nearby and returned with the«PRINTED email». When I walked in, I handed him the email and told him that the customer service experience I had was a zero at this point. He responded by throwing my email on the ground and telling me to «Load it your damn self then». I replied I had no problem with loading a microwave on my own and that his customer service skills were definitely not getting better. He stormed off and the lady who had been sitting behind the desk the entire time this was happening decided to step in to try and diffuse the situation. Which by default she had no choice as she was the only other person there. She made a feeble attempt to apologize for her sales/service person who is obviously in the wrong line of work.

This is the absolute worse place! I can’t imagine ever coming back here. I thought I’d save myself a little time and money, but this wasn’t the place to do either. The first person who helped me when I went there to just check things out was helpful, and knowledgeable. He also neglected to tell me that I would have to pay for everything! Yeah, I’m not talking about just delivery, I’m talking about the stupid power cord to the dryer! So not knowing any of that, I decided they had a good product, and the price was comparable to the other stores, and I went back to purchase the washer and dryer. The woman who«helped» me was not very knowledgeable, not very helpful and certainly didn’t bother to tell me I had to purchase every single piece that went to the washer and dryer. REALLY??? I had to purchase the hoses that lead from the spigits to the washer. I had to purchase the power cord to the washer, and as they delivered the pair, the driver asked if I knew I had to purchase the power cord to the dryer, because it wasn’t on the packing slip. PURCHASETHEPOWERCORD!!! What the h*@l? Why would I purchase a dryer and not have the power cord come with it? What good is that to me? What happened to the days when you bought the washer and dryer and it came with everything in one package, at one price? If this is how Sears does business, no wonder they’re in financial trouble. This guy is supposed to be an «authorized» dealer for Sears products, but I can tell you, they should say he’s an authorized bandit, shyster, shylock! I certain will think twice before I do business with either Sears or K-Mart(Sears bought them out) ever again. I feel totally ripped off and taken.

Went here and bought a new law mower to replaced our old 13 year old one. Sales rep was very helpful and nice. Would come again. The store sales a handful of appliances TVs and blue Ray players and outdoor equipment. No clothing as the main stores do. Think of it as a sears outlet store. Great for those who live in the area and don’t want to travel all the way over to tigard
