For two years, I suffered through subpar hair cuts because I only wanted to spend $ 12 on a haircut. Fortunately, I wised up and found a great spot to get my hair did while still maintaining my manly self respect.
Mark’s is the absolute definition of a local barber shop! Super nice guy who’s been around the area for his whole life and is really excited about everything Iowa City, from HS football to the Hawkeyes. He’s all about the hand made signs and it totally adds to the charm of the shop.
It’s around $ 18 for a standard dude hair cut and it’s absolutely worth the money. He’s a first guy in a long time who’s been able to make this dome presentable, but he did it with style!
Well worth it for anyone looking for a barber who knows what he’s doing, cares about the community and wants to get to know you.
