Laspada’s Original Hoagies

Amazing! First time at this location. Easily say best sub I’ve ever had. I got roast beef and turkey. Had to split a large one. MUST GET THE HOT PEPPERS on the side. Soooo good!

It always feels like home when I’m at Laspadas! I grew up near the Lauderdale by the Sea original first location and to date have eaten at 3 out of the seven (lauderdale by the sea, boca, springs davie, pines, 17^th St cswy and I’m still missing a location. lol) Love the banter between the deli guys and with the customers. The smell is always the same in all the stores I’ve eaten in. It’s hoagie heaven. I always get either the Italian or the roast beef. Huge is an understatement when it comes to describing the size of the sub. There are two sizes to choose from an 8 or 12 inch. The eight inch is cut in half and is really large enough I couldn’t imagine how I could ever try devouring the twelver! The show they put on with flinging the sliced meat on to the roll is always fun to see. They never miss. The toppings are always fresh and I always get mine with everything on it except pickles. My sandwich was delicious and the bread was soft and fresh. It could have used a little more oil and vinegar on mine but it didn’t take away from how delicious my sub was. Right now this is the closest location to my home and of course yes I will be returning.

Amazing hoagies!!! They make a killer sub filled with goodies at your request! The money is well spent, been here twice and love it! Will be back!

These subs are my all time fav subs. Unfortunately this location does have the same environment as the other la spadas locations in south Florida. I have been to this location numerous times and every time I am disappointed in the service. The quality of food is the same when it comes to the ingredients but as for the sub making they really fail. My sub as fallen apart the toppings are always too much or too little no happy medium or consistency. I feel like this location is a let down to the la spadas brand. They need to step up the customer service and quality of the sub making that the la spadas name is known for.

Greatest subs ever. But I won’t come back to the coral Springs location because guy who took my money is a jerk who insults the customers under his breath like a coward would do. That’s why there is no tip today and I did say Root beer twice before you went to the cooler and I said «top left» and you start to grab from the top right. Open your ears jackass!

BEST SUBS IN THE WORLD! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! They pack the subs with meat, more meat then any sub place around. You can not beat this place. They are always busy, but always fast. 100% recommend this place.

Best sub I’ve had in South Florida. All the subs I’ve had are good and they give you tons of meat, including a layer on top of the sandwich. Also the store gimmick where they toss the meat across the shop onto the sandwich is pretty entertaining.

That’s really all I need to say, but I’m chatty so I’ll write more. I’ve heard so much about this place and it’s literally walking distance from my place so I can’t say why it’s taken me this long to try it but now that I have I’m a bit worried about my wallet and my waist size.
In a small plaza off of Sample Rd it is kind of easy to miss. Once inside I felt like I was immediately transported back north. I think I even heard a New York accent of two.
The place is small; couple of tables and a wall area for you to eat st. I would assume takeout is the way to go here.
I grabbed a menu while I waited in line. They have two sizes regular and large. It should read big and huge, but I’ll get into that later.
I got to the counter and ordered the Italian. The greatest thing is that they slice the meat fresh for your order. This isn’t pre packed or anything like that. There is an up charge for wheat bread (so I didn’t do that because I’m cheap). The meat guy slices it up and literally throws it into the bread. Meat is literally flying all over place. There is a sexual innuendo there somewhere.
Anyway — I added my fresh veggies: lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles.
The only downside for me was there were not hot hoagies– only cold which I believe is the big debate between what’s a sub versus a hoagie but whatever. This thing was delicious. One of the best hoagies I’ve ever had. It’s big enough for multiple meals.
They also sell individual and large bags of chips and different salads like potato and macaroni salad.
I added a drink to my order and paid $ 11. You can’t beat it. I’m a fan! I’m a fan! I cannot wait to go back and try another hoagie.

Best. Subs. Ever. I could just leave it at that but I’ll add this. I’m originally from New Jersey, so I have rather high expectations when it comes to subs. Firehouse Subs? They’re ok. Publix? Not bad. Subway? Meh. Bottom line. If you want a delicious sub made to order that requires both hands to eat it, you need to get to Laspadas on Sample Road. I’m sure the other locations are just as good but since I live within walking distance of the Sample Road location, this is the only one that I’ve been to. Ok, review over. Now you know what to do for dinner tonight. You’re welcome :-)

Italian can’t be beat. These guys will make you feel at home and make sure you’re stuffed! Antipasto salad was great as well! Can’t go wrong here.

I usually go to the location in Davie which is ALWAYS super busy. While in Coral Springs I realized there was a Laspada’s here so why not? It had been awhile since I had a really great sub. I was surprised it wasn’t too busy at all on a Friday night but that’s good for me because I didn’t have to wait. I got the footlong turkey & cheese on wheat and some chips to go. Well, this place never disappoints that’s for sure. There is always so much meat in their subs, the bread is always fresh, just perfect every time. Staff was cool, friendly and quick. Next time I’m in coral springs I will be stopping by again! Mmmmm… mmmmm…I thoroughly enjoyed my sub!

I tried this spot a few days ago one last time. I was completely ignored when I walked in which really gets to me as I worked in customer service for so many years. My sandwich was not horrible but certainly not great. I asked for onions and I swear I got two handfuls. I was picking onion out of every bite. The meat was slimy and the bread soggy by the time I got home. By the reviews people obviously love this place so I must really be going on bad days but this place just isn’t worth it. Try Louis Ks in sunrise… a Million times better!

Laspada’s is really the only place I will go for a sub these days. Publix subs are good, but then there is Laspadas. When I moved down to Florida from NY, I missed a good quality sub. This solved all of my problems. I normally get the tuna (which is phenomenal) or the monster (also, phenomenal). You have your choice of fixings, but I definitely recommend getting the peppers. YUM. A full sub can last you an entire day. Hell, sometimes a half-​sub is enough for my lunch AND dinner. I suggest knowing what you order before you get to the counter, the guys don’t like people being willy-​nilly about what the want on their sub, as it is always packed. Not the best manners, but who the hell cares– it’s a sub shop, the best sub their is. They could scream in my face and I’d just smile and eat my sub. That is just what Laspadas is. Go there.

A breath of hoagie heaven. Publix subs have always been my jam, but this sandwich stands up for itself. Yea its pricier but with the expense comes epic proportions of flavor, freshness, and literal magnitude – a trilogy of perfection in my sandwich world.
I wouldn’t trade one laspadas sandwich for a thousand hoagies bequeathed to me for free!
Food
I always get the large roast beef sandwich which is enough to feed 2 honorably hungry carnivores. I’ve never tasted roast beef sooo fresh on a sandwich. The roast beef is a bit rare so if the sight of blood makes you hurl and curl you probably want something else like chicken or a selection of Italian meats.
There’s enough cheese to make a cheetos puff factory, so just let them know what your preference is if you’re skimping on the dairy.
Sweet peppers, lettuce, and succulent tomatoes overflow from your cornucopia!
Service
Theres a semilarge crowd for a coral springs food place. At every time of day that I have gone there’s a line. But, it moves fairly quickly and it’s worth the 10 minute wait.
Some people complain of the people at the counters but I have found them to be extremely patient and friendly enough.
Location
Parking– located in a one way plaza that fills up during lunch hour but it’s not really an issue
Seating– not good for groups. They have 2 – 3 small tables and a countertop seating area.

These guys/​gals make an extremely delicious sandwich locally and stuff it with fresh cold cuts and veggies. They have a line out the door, and they control the making of each sandwich in a line that’s flows back out !! They don’t use Boars Head meats and that’s only the minor of nitpicking. (I remember when they did, back on Seagrape Dr in FtLaud) — there products appear just as fresh and nice.
This is the submarine that my mom makes a special visit to each time she visits from Michigan. She suggests nobody offers anything near their Roastbeef in hoagie form near her.

This is where I go when I want to have a really good turkey sub or as we call it in New York, a hero. Today’s visit was no different. I called in my order which was handled smoothly as always, ready when I arrived and rang up with a smile… how you doing today Scott and all of the niceties that seem to be forgotten in businesses of today both small and large.
The beauty of the whole situation is not only do they give you a ton of food they do it in a way that’s not one big mess and they slice it beautifully into twos, threes or fours which keeps it neater and somehow allows me to have less guilt sliced in fours.
Sweet peppers to die for, great cuts of meat… I’ve never picked it up and had a single person disappointed.

As someone who unfortunately loves subs and all the empty carbohydrates that come along with them, I’ve been told for many years that I must try Laspada’s. Well, I did.
I noticed two things immediately, both of which never make me happy: 1) the crowd — even early on a Saturday, there was a huge line… and 2) the cost — a footlong here is nearly double the price of Subway. Yes, I am aware that Subway is utter garbage, and I did expect some incremental premium for a better quality product, but it still seemed like a lot to me. On this last point, when I ate the sub, my stance was ameloriated. Don’t worry, we’ll get there.
After waiting in the line for what seemed like an eternity, because apparently some dude was getting sandwiches for an entire Little League team (almost ALWAYS my luck with this kind of thing… our universe gets a sick, twisted kick out of testing my patience), I made it to where the sandwich maestros were working. I do like the fact that one guy is dedicated to slicing fresh deli meat. I mean, it looks like a terrible job to stand there for hours slicing meat, but I appreciated it. I also appreciated that they loaded up the hoagie roll with meat and cheese.
Too many subs fail, simply because there isn’t enough meat and cheese for all that bread. A sub with an imbalance toward bread is a crappy 1-​or-​2-​star sub. You could give me the finest meat and cheese in the world, and it would still suck, because you skimped on the most important parts of a sandwich. To Laspadas’ credit, there is no such skimping here. In fact, they might even overburden their bread. Which is fine with me, because I don’t think their bread is any great shakes. It’s all about the meat, and it had better stay that way.
Once done with all the fixins I wanted, I noticed that this was one fat, enormous sub. As I ate the thing, it dawned on me that the $ 11 I paid wasn’t terrible, because finishing the sandwich would amount to all the food I’d really need for the entire day. Finish one of these footlongs at lunch… and beyond needing a nap right after, dinner will be rendered wholly unnecessary.
The hype is real. This is clearly the best sub in South Florida.

I’m a sub kinda girl. There’s nothing like fresh bread with fresh meat and fresh veggies. You like subway? You don’t know what you’re missing out on. You like publix subs? Well so do I!!! And if you want to find a replacement for eating so many public subs than this is the place to go. So many amazing options — and such amazing food! Their voodoo chips are amazing. Almost like a salt and vinegar bbq chip which say perfect along side my roast beef sub. Don’t let the size full you! Although a publix sub may look longer, laspadas you get your money’s worth! I’ve never finished a sub and was starving from this place. I can barely ever finish it! The double meat is a heaven sent! And the fresh bread is just the cherry on top. Nothing can ever beat this place!
