I was prepared to be blown away but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the Thai fried rice. The service was great though!

Every time I’m in south Florida, I make sure I drop by this awesome spot. The selections of Thai and Japanese delicacies is endless. Awesome sushi and sashimi and your Thai favorites, such as pad Thai and of course, who can forget those awesome Thai curries. The service here is prompt and courteous. You can sit outside(I’ll pass on that in the summer time), and enjoy the great ambiance that this place, an awesome restaurant and good place to hang out and have a great meal.

Went with my family, soup was good. Sushi sucked! Family meal was so so. Tried it the second time. Same thing. Shame so close to home. I try to support my neighborhood restaurant. Sorry not this one.

I love coming here for lunch. I usually get the red chicken curry lunch special that comes with a soup and salad. Price is great for the amount of food you get. Whether you sit inside or outside the environment is great and service is on point.

Love Moon!!! I have been going to the one in the Gables for many years and they never fail to deliver a delicious meal. Needless to say, their Thai iced coffee is always on point! It is definitely my «go to place» when I have my girly girl moment and can’t decide on a different location.

They never fail to deliver. I’m stuffed and happily drunk. Perhaps that’s why I’m feeling so amorous towards the faithful«Moon» but it was a great lunch. Service was good, not overly attentive where the politeness seems fake. Food was great(as usual) and drinks clearly effective. Go eat there now and get your Thai /Jap on ;)

They have a very nice lunch menu. They have both Japanese n Thai. The ambience and service is very good. The waiter helped me in order the food and was very delicious. The food came with the soup and side of salad. It was perfect for lunch. Definitely I’ll keep going once in a while.

The service is quick and the waiters are nice. Everyone appears to be on top of things. I had the garlic beef and my wife the pad thai. I will admit, her dish was better than mine. It had nice flavor and I even detected a slight sweetness to the dish that doesn’t take away from the overall flavor. Mine was nice. It came with a good mix of carrots and cabbage which gave it that nice crunch. Overall a nice experience. I would definitely come back.

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times, my recent visit I ordered the pad Thai which never fails, it was slightly greasier than usual and service seemed a bit slow. Disappointing because I truly enjoy going here for some Thai. I hope they can give their service a facelift sometime soon.

This is tied for my favorite Thai food in Miami! I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve eaten both at the restaurant and taken carry-out many times. They have a cute little patio in the front. I’ve tried a few different entrees of theirs. I particularly enjoy their pad thai, pad see ew, fried rice, and their crab rangoons! Their prices are pretty reasonable also! It’s close to the U! Go check it out!

To me, this is the best pad Thai from all the restaurants I’ve ever tried. I get medium hot spice and it’s the perfect amount of spicy without burning your mouth. It comes with chicken AND shrimp! We also had two orders of sushi(both deep fried and amazing) & the tempura cheesecake(ask for ice cream!) & thai donuts. All of it was amazing. Our waiter was great. The manager kept coming by asking if we were doing ok all night. It was wonderful. Everyone was nice and attentive. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! The food comes out fairly fast as well. Highly recommend this place!

If you’ve been down this road with me before, you know that I judge neighborhood/towns by how good their Thai restaurants are. This is a luxury I’ve been able to live by for most of my adult life.(shudders) That is weird to say. My hubs saw this place on his various evenings walking back towards our temporary home and figured it was an experience we’d share upon my arrival, and so today we did. We walked in and we were taken aback by the décor, something of a hip, trendy type feel with a variety of patrons, including couples, families with smaller children, collegiate types all in one space. What made this scene abnormal to me was the mood lighting, which seemed not quite right, but I’ll digress. We were told we’d have to wait for an inside table for two for about 15 minutes, we waited 20 and still had to stand up for additional awkward 2 – 3 minutes waiting for the final once-over. We were asked if we wanted any beverages to which we both stated water, I, as per usual, asked for a lemon that I did not receive. We ordered standard Thai fare, Pad See Ew, Volcano Chicken and Chicken Satei for an appetizer. The Chicken Satei was good. The peanut and clear, sweet cucumber sauces that accompanied were perfect. The volcano chicken was good, very sweet and not at all close to the medium spice(heat) the hubs ordered, however I like sweet, but it was not what I ordered. The Pad See Ew with shrimp, on the other hand was all(medium) spice(heat) and hardly the sweet, normally succulent meal it is when I order it in other places. It even looked a bit sloppy. I have to say I absolutely dislike shrimp with its tail in meals. If it is not fried, it can be downright unpleasant as you get stabbed in your mouth attempting to eat your meal. Having to stop eating to pull the tail off is annoying and sometimes painful. Our waters never got refilled. Dessert, though I don’t know if they serve it, was never offered and all in all I was just NOT impressed. You can’t JUST sit me down, give me mood lighting, flash a pretty interior and not offer me the works especially for what they charge. I’ve had better tasting Thai, that was cheaper with better service as I sat in during a lunch break in New York City. My husband enjoyed his food, however, which is why I give it three stars. I’m struggling with whether or not I should be judging the space by their food or service, or a combination of the two. In life there are no half-stars…

Went here again and had the vegetarian Pad Thai at level three spiciness(based on their menu) and it was very good. Am increasing the number of stars due to this and a consistently good experience.

Solid place for sushi and Thai curry. There were no seats available at the tables and we didn’t want to wait 15 minutes so we sat at the bar, which was great because we could also see the TV screen. All the people here are really friendly and accommodating. I could tell a lot of people were repeat customers because the staff recognized them. Food was yummy and fresh. Be careful when ordering curry because even if you ask for«no spice» it will still be spicy, which I personally didn’t mind. The sushi portions are quite small for the price, but tasted delicious.

Stopped here for a take out late night dinner. The staff was nice enough to serve us shortly before closing. We ordered a combo with three rolls, two miso soups, spring rolls and the ceviche roll. I would recommend the ceviche roll. I would say the ceviche was a little over cooked in the lime juice. But they made up for it. Not only did they load the rolls but they included a cup of octopus ceviche. Didn’t see that coming. The miso soup was also great and a nice warm start to the meal. I wasn’t a huge fan of the spring rolls. They were large but were ninety percent lettuce so they didn’t have much flavor.

So Unilocal defines three stars as «A-OK.» Which makes a lot of sense for Moon Thai. I’ve never been disappointed here, but neither have I been blown away. I’m happiest going to Moon Thai for lunch to take advantage of their rather excellent specials. I’m less happy to be paying the dinner price for the same dish(though I’ll be fair — these prices aren’t breaking the bank even at dinner). My go-to order is the chicken pad thai. Generally has good flavor, but I’ve found when I’ve asked them to add some heat that doing so pretty quickly starts to cover up the other flavors. Most recently I found myself getting a to-go order and not liking it as much as I have enjoyed dine-in. Though the pad thai tasted good, it ended up being on the dry side and all clotted together. My perspective — lunch is better than dinner, eating in is better than taking it to go. A fine choice when you’re in the area.

I really enjoyed my lunch here. I hadn’t been here in many, many years. They updated the inside and the outside area. The inside has a cool Sobe vibe where they play loungey chill out music. The patio has flooring(it used to be gravel a long time ago) & a canvas roof. The food was delicious. For apps, we had the calamari & pork dumplings. They were both good. We had the duck noodle soup, the chicken pad thai, the Spring Break Duck lunch special & the yellow curry chicken. Everything was delicious. The service was great. It started to rain, so they quickly moved our large party inside. They were very accommodating. The only reason I docked a star is because parking is not easy. Otherwise, I can’t wait to go back! I recommend it for a date night :)

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for at least 8 years. First thing they give you after they sit you is two menus, one is for the Thai food and the other one is for the Japanese one. I generally like to order the spicy tuna hand rolls, peanut chicken, which comes in a bed of lettuce and a side of rice, or any of the curries on the menu. Generally, the food is good and does not disappoint. The restaurant has lunch specials on the weekend too, great pricing!
