The girl at reception was nice and the doctor was fine. However, when I have to wait almost TWO hours past my appointment time, you can rest assured that I will not return.
If you cancel past their cut off point or if for whatever reason you do not make your appointment, (say you’re abducted by aliens or something) they will charge you. By the same token, if I have to wait that long after my appointment time, I should be compensated as well. My time is just as valuable as yours. I believe that they take your payment before you are seen by the doctor so that you can’t make a run for it if your wait time becomes unbearable.

For starters, the four stars I gave are NOT for the dermatologists in this facility, they are for the wonderful estheticians.
I have been struggling with moderate and persistent acne for over 9 years. I have seen at least 8 dermatologists in my life, and have tried everything from benzaclin, duac, epiduo, 8 years of doxycycline and recently four months of the very harsh accutane. You can say my skin and my emotions have been through the wringer. I decided to visit doctor Pardo after reading a few reviews online. On the day of my consultation my insurance covered the consult and I only had to pay a co-​payment of 35 dollars. I am the kind of patient who has had years of experience with derms, and I really believed doctor Pardo would be different. The first consult went surprisingly well, he listened to what I had to say and took into consideration that I worked in film. What I did not agree with was the fact he prescribed the same medications I had explained had no longer worked for me. The only difference from him and other dermatologists was that he prescribed a monthly peel and a monthly facial with his estheticians over at the acne treatment center, located within the facility. I have to say, after a few more visits with Dr. Pardo, I realized he is no different from the other dermatologists I had been seeing before him. Everytime I went in, it was like he forgot who I was, or seemed to be in a rush and continued to prescribe the same medications although he saw no improvement. That’s when I decided to call it quits.
Now for the positive side of my review. My skin has noticeable improved not because of the medications, but because of the estheticians at this facility. I have been seeing Sylvana for about a year now, she is the esthetician who has been doing my facial peels. She is very friendly and always remembers me when I come in, what’s great is that she will always inject my face with a cortisone shot before my peel if she notices any cysts. She also does the peels in a gentle way that does not cause me to horribly peel that week. The true gem in that facility has definitely got to be Idania!!! I have been seeing her for a few months when I decided to get the vane treatment facial and I don’t know why no one else has reviewed her. What I love about Idania is the attention she took to my skin, every time I come in she carefully listens to my worries and assures me that everything is going to be ok. Everytime vie seen her she recommends good products that I can easily find in a cvs or dept. Store. She definitely has a marvelous way of extracted my face during her 30 minute acne facial. She also will inject any stubborn pimple. Idania understands that I may sometimes have a photoshoot or event where I need to look great and right away she pencils me in to come in for a cortisone shot. I have been to offices where they charge 75 dollars for one injection!!! At this center they charge 45 dollars and if you have more than one stubborn site, Idania will definitely take care of you!!! I have come in sometimes once a week just for shots before a photoshoot or event. Idania not only helps me look my best but she also makes me feel my best. She is so sweet and warm and I feel she knows exactly what she’s talking about!!! She is also very honest, she will tell you what not to splurge your money on and what is worth it!!! I love her and I will fly down to Miami just to visit her!!!

I went there a couple of times for different issues but 8 weeks ago I starting to get my scalp really itchy. I checked for lice first (I have an 8 years old daughert) and I did not find anything, so I made an app. They checked me, charged my $ 45 co-​payment and told me «SEVERE SEBORREIC DERMATITIS». Gave me lotions and shampoos wich I had to pay over $ 200 with my copayment and told me that I was too STRESS out. Hence the dermatitis. Wait 3 weeks and I should be fine.
Well, I was not. I decided to make an appoitment with a specialist, kept buying everything I could find around for the scalp trying to stop the itchining and bleeding in some areas due to the constant scratch. I made an app with a scalp specialist from Italy at University of Miami but I had to wait 3 weeks for an app. That was last Monday. And guess what? LICE!!! Yes, now… after 2 months!!! Several dollars spent and now more to dessinfect my head, my daugherts, all my clothe, my carpets… Overal cost: over $ 1000. So thank you Coral Gables DErmatology and Laser CEnter. YOU SUCK!!!

I have seen several dermatologists before and most of them are very knowledgeable and friendly. I went in and told the dr what the problem was, how it was treated before three times and how it did NOT work. She then proceeded to do the same thing that I told her doesn’t work. She them prescribed me some lotion that cost $ 250 for a 6 oz bottle at the pharmacy and there was no generics. I have great health insurance and I had to pay 150 for the visit when my co pay is only $ 30. After arguing nothing was resolved and it was a waste of time and money. I will NOT go back here. The doc was not friendly, she was actually very short with me and gave me a attitude.
