Food is OK here. Had the mole and it was just OK and kind of bland. Even the rice and beans are very bland as the chef isn’t salting the food enough.

Decent mexican food for the area. The prices are good and the portions they give you are a little large actually. My only complaint is their salsa, its very watery and tasteless, akin to ketchup. Never eaten in so I can only judge from my takeout meals.

My parents have a getaway home in Copperopolis, so whenever I have a free weekend, I like to make the drive from Oakland. This visit, my dad, boyfriend, and I had heard about Mi Pueblo from a neighbor and decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we’d be satisfied. I value décor and ambiance and Mi Pueblo started off on the right foot with their Christmas/holiday decorations. It felt very homey and welcoming(and warm!!). We were greeted and sat in a comfortable booth. We were given chips and salsa right away.(Always a plus in my book!!) The chips were crispy and not the cheap, store bought kind. The salsa was fresh with a good amount of spice. We all ordered different platters(enchilada platter, burrito platter, and chimichanga platter — served with rice and refried beans). All of us were happy with our orders. The servings were big and I was pleased to bring leftovers home with me. They also have a good selection of bottled beers, as well as beers and hard ciders on draft. We also noticed they had an apple cider sangria for the season. Would love to try the sangria next time! Although it is not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, I appreciate the service and ambiance, and welcome this restaurant to the Copperopolis community.

Even though this is a small town, the use of the name is not what it should be. Im from San Diego and the food here honestly isn’t that great. After reading some of the reviews I can see that most of the people who made a review have not had REALTY Mexican food from the south. Any restaurants down past LA will be decent but if your in San Diego going towards the border then you will have good quality food. The food here is way to over priced for the quality of the food your paying to eat. They don’t have a California burrito on the menu so I made on here and the ingredients were good just not the tortilla they used for the burrito. The only reason why I came in here was to try it out and I have to wait 3 hours because I wasn’t accepted to visit my uncle in jail.

I really like the food here, but the service is not good if you come when it is a typical dinner time. Stood for almost 15 minutes for someone to clear tables so we could sit down. We ordered when they gave us menus this time thinking it would be faster. Nope! We’ve polished off to baskets of chips, salsa and guacamole. They really need to hire extra help… Bussers, waitstaff and cooks.

My husband and I went for lunch today. We were nicely surprised that it is a sister restaurant to the Mi Pueblo we love in Sonora. While the food and ambiance is better in Sonora we will definitely go back! The restaurant was busy but the service could have been a little more attentive.

We ate at Mi Pueblo for the first time tonight for dinner. I had shrimp in a garlic butter sauce. It was delish! Hubby had steak ranchero which he is really picky about. He dislikes it when the steak ranchero has a runny sauce. But tonight it was thick and flavorful. He said it was very good compared to steak ranchero at other Mexican places. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff was very friendly and came back frequently to fill our glasses and see if we needed anything and she was very friendly. The place is decorated nice and with bright colors and clean. We will be back!
