warning: the african women in this shop are unprofessional!!! i specifically told these women not to braid my hair tight and really thin around my edges!!!
i had hair breakage within weeks. the women assume all women want scalp tight braids so they can last longer instead of listening to my requests!!!
i only wear my braids for a month… maybe month in a half. ladies dont listen! and two of the ladies ate food with they tried to briad my hair!!!
they were shouting in my ear the entire time singing their french/​ivory coast music and being loud!
i will never go to another african hair braiding shop again! only african american women understand wanting to keep your damn edges.

I decided to try this place because it was closer to my home and the shop was really nice. The owner was friendly. My appointment was at 1:00pm but no one started on my hair until 3:00pm because she was finishing up someone else’s hair and then had to eat lunch.
I got crochet braids for $ 150! My hair came out! I have worn crochet braids 2x in the past and my hair has never came out until I went to this place. The cornrows were too small and some of the hair was knotted sloppy. The crochet braids did look good but my hair came out. While getting my hair done I also witnessed a customer come in and complain that some of her Senegalese twist fell out after 2 days! I should have kept going to Super Braids in Arlington. They do a way better job with crochet braids, have cheaper prices and I was in and out in in 2 hrs vs 5hrs at FP.

The service was excellent!, and the environment is clean and comfortable. I loved the service they gave to me and sure Will definitely go there again. The pricing was reasonable, and the heart of a ride home when I had no way around thankyou!!!

I went in yesterday to get box braids and it only took them 2 hrs and they did an excellent job! I’ll definitely return.

I am super satisfied with my experience. I recently moved here and the Texas heat just did not agree with my hair. So, I decided I wanted a protective style so I wouldn’t have to deal with my hair for a while. I called the salon, asked how soon they could see me and 4 hours later I was getting my hair done.
They’re reasonably priced and the salon owner is amazing. She was friendly and very informative about different styles. She and one other lady worked on my hair and they were done way sooner than expected. While my Senegalese twist were tight, it was not painful at all. Most importantly I love my hair. I would recommend seeing these ladies!

Stay AWAY from this place… Take this advise, because I learned the hard way. I normally get my hair braided every year mainly in the summer when it is so «HOT» in Dallas. During my first experience it was great! I got my hair in Havana Twist by the owners wife and then I got a re-​touch a month later by the same person. I was told by Seido the owner that for a re-​touch and take down it was 0.30 percent from the original price I paid. So the original price was 160.00 to get my hair done and then the retouch was 0.30 percent from the 160.00 so I paid 48.00 for the re-​touch. FYI a re-​touch at this braiding place is only the perimeter which is only 2 rows around. The owner is Seido Afia and it seems as now there is a salon manager by the name of Mary, who is always there answering the phone. She is rude, unfriendly, unprofessional, and unethical. During my second time at the salon, I noticed the unfriendly service, but I never said anything about it. I got senegalese twist for 220.00 dollars by Nadean and I gave a tip and she braided my strands, which I noticed when the braided hair was sliding down and the roots showed. When I noticed it I called the salon, and of course spoke with Mary. She asked me to come by the salon so she could take a look at it. When I arrived Mary said. «Oh My God» I need to take this out because if I do not your hair will fall out. In my mind I was like, «what» OMG. She told me to come back at 10am the next day so she could redo the edges a little bigger. The next day I showed up at 10am and the salon was closed. I called her phone number and she answered and said «OMG, what time is it» … I was like «REALLY» she told me to come at 10am and she is not even here. She told me she lives in Fort Worth so it will take about an hour for her to get to the salon. I informed her I will return at 4pm or 5pm that day. She said it was okay. I arrived again at 5pm a girl was in the salon, I asked her where was Mary and she told me Mary was next door getting her nails done. She called her, and Mary informed another girl to do my hair. I was told Mary was going to do it. So the other girl only did the back of my hair. I told her you are to do the front also. She called Mary and she informed me we only spoke on doing the back. I was like NO, you we’re suppose to do some of the front as well… So she took out 2 braids in the front and re-​twisted it. I left the salon… Now it’s 1 month and 4 days and my hair needs a re-​touch. I called to schedule an appointment and she told me the price is 80.00 dollars… I told her I’m suppose to pay 0.30 percent from 220.00. So the price would be 66.00 dollars not 80.00 dollars. When she started arguing with me I asked her for the owners phone number. She told me NO, then hung-​up the phone. I called back and got a loud noise in my ear. She called me back like five minutes later. I informed her how rude that was to hung-​up on a client. I also told her that she was acting like I was wanting a free service which I was not asking for. Then when I told her that … I asked again for Seido Afia direct telephone number. She told me that he is not the owner and he is a friend of the business not the owner. She told me that he hired her to help the business because they were on the road to bankrupt and she came to help them out… So with that comment she stated, she is not the owner. She also told me that she have to charge the 80.00 dollars because some of the girls that work at the salon never like to come to work because they are not getting paid… R E A L L Y… Why is she telling me this, I really do not care. Later in the call she told me that she will just charge me 70.00 dollars, like she is doing me a favor. Bottom line this business is not to be trusted… Mr. Seido, if you read this which I hope… You need to take over again full-​time because Mary is NOT doing a good job. I do not have a problem with paying what I need to, in order to get my hair done, as you see I already paid 220.00 dollars in the beginning, and that is not cheap… And 80.00 would be nothing as well, but on Unilocal it shows the re-​touch percentages … Mary is a lair, and not to be trusted… I will post this message on EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA to inform people

nice salon! Nice Staff! the only unfortunate is I had to wait 2 hrs to get started. The owner assured me that a wait like that is not typical.

I will definitely be going back to this hair braiding salon. Not only were they nice and friendly (unlike many of the other braiding salons I’ve tried) but it was also clean. The restroom was clean as well which is a BIG plus in my eyes. I’ve gone to so many shops and the restroom is usually disgusting. The pricing was fair and definitely worth it. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair it’s beyond crazy. But the good thing is not only do I love it but other people love it as well. So, fine plats keep up the good work on hair styles. Also, continues to keep your place of business clean and friendly. It makes a HUGE difference to the customers. I have been speaking very positive about thi atmosphere and double thanks for the beautiful hairstyle. I have recommended this salon to sooooooooo many people. I posted pics for you all to see. I never give reviews but Fine Plats deserve it!!!

Ok, so I was very happy the 1^st visit and planned to return but before I did I decided to go with someone who had a better price. You really do get what you paid for and I will not waste my time nor money going anywhere else. That being said I came back, I called Saturday morning and needed an appointment same day and early so I could get to work. They said we would try, so I got there, showed a picture and the results was phenomenal, excellent and on time even though I was a walk in. Love this place, love these ladies, love the service. You would be crazy not to try them, you will not be disappointed.

I drove an hour to get here and I was not disappointed! I got box braids in less than 3 hours and I love them! The ladies were very sweet and did an excellent job! For most of the time I was there, three! Yes, three! ladies were braiding my hair at the same time! I will definitely come here again!

My Senegalese twists are nice but too tight. Nice salon very clean and the ladies were friendly. I thought I would have more than one person in my head since I paid $ 240.

I am professional braider, and sometimes I get exhausted from braiding others hair and my self. I went online and found Fine Plats. Even though, their salon was 30 min away, it was worth the drive! They did a awesome job, the ladies were professional and courteous. They offer refreshments and wi-​fi. They did not braid tight at all and I got Box Braids. The environment is clean and well decorated. I will be back soon!

I really enjoyed my experience at this salon. The owner/​manager took time to explain everything to me. He and his wife are wonderful! I am now three visits down and each visit was a good experience. Last night I loc’ed my hair. And I love it! Thanks Fine Plats for starting my journey off right. See you in two weeks :-)

Great experience at Fine Plats Braiding Salon yesterday. The place was very clean, the ladies were very nice and polite. I was able to easily understand the artist that completed my Senegalese Twists. She offered suggestions to help me select the style that worked best for me since it was my first time. The best part is that the price quoted was the price charged.

Pleasantly surprised with the clean and professional services of this braiding. I really like my Senegalese twist at mid-​back length. Carol was very professional and took no breaks for herself. Thank you for the excellent Unilocal reviews.

Amazing awesome experience. Needed an emmergemcy appointment for a wedding. The staff was courteous, professional and efficient. Eventhough I was a walk in, they hooked me up. The salon is gorgeous, spacious and clean. They offered free refeshments and I had three people working on my hair so my micro braids were quick. i am a patron for life. My braids are beautiful. love them!!!

I am not real sure how all the other reveiws came in so high, it was the most awful result from a braiding experience I have ever received and I’ve been to braiders in Houston, San Antonio and Washington DC.
I will agree with the others that the shop was very clean and everyone was friendly, especially the lady who serves as manager.
The braiders did not follow instructions on how I wanted my micro braids and the quality was POOR. I have lost at least a braid a day because the braids were not done correctly. The braiders were lazy and cheated on how they did the braids based on where they were located and whether they were easy to see. They both appeared to be in a hurry and their work showed it. I paid $ 200 for NOTHING, I could have spent the money at a spa or the mall somewhere.
I will not be going back because I don’t have that kind of money to lose.

Love love love. Great and funny staff. Very friendly. $ 210 for these fine twists and had two to three people on my head. Super cute. Very professional and CLEAN!!! Just got them done yesterday dec 20. Last test will be longevity but so far i am a super fan. Amd not too tight either.

I am very pleased with the service that fine plats provided. My stylist was Natalie. She was very quick and excellent at what she did I got jumbo box braids. My husband got his dreadlocks started. Only took Natalie three and a half hours on my head and my husband was finished within 2 hours. We are both very pleased. The place was clean, and comfortable. We were asked if we were okay with the music they were playing and they even offered us drinks and snacks. We will definitely be returning.

I’ve been looking for a place like this for a while now and this shop is on point. I like my salons clean and friendly and u get that here. The prices are just right, I just moved here from up north so I appreciate a good price. I just love the vibe of this place. I definitely have found a place where I’m going to do my hair as long as I’m living in this area!
